((W: Mild Assumptions)) She turned around, actually shocked to see one of her comrades from her mercenary days, whom she hadn't seen for over a years. From what she remembered, he had actually served directly under her in two high paying missions and performed quite admirably in combat. "Zetsumeii, is that you?" she asked, he seemed to have matured a little since their last encounter, "Did you get caught up in the lockdown as well?"Lament was locked up tighter than a drum, and nobody was getting in or until the situation in the underground stabilized. She offered him the empty chair across from her with a warm smile. Now would be a good time to catch up on current events as any.

At the gates, the now-armored stranger is growing slightly impatient. He clears his throat before asking the guard who seems to be in charge:
???: "How long will it be before the alarm is rescinded?"
His tone carries an undertone of impatience and...worry?

MerDefsGirl "Zetsumeii, is that you?" He paused slightly and answered, "Yeah, I guess you could say it's me..I was stranded here earlier and I guess I decided to stick around before blowing this joint. Weirdly enough I find you here.." Seeing her smile, he no longer felt as uncomfortable as before and he took the seat across her. "Urm..so how have you been?" Although he knew his question was lame, he firmly decided at that moment to not discuss what he had been doing for the last month, he just wanted to forget about it.

[quote="Zetsumeii]"Urm..so how have you been?"
"If you can beleive it, I actually picked up a steady job working for Raven Industries,"she said, "Me of all people, actually following someone else's orders. I don't mind though, he's a pleasure to work for and the money's good."
She put her index fingers together, blushing slightly, "And, I suppose you could say he's gotten me out of more then a few major problems, he... eh?" sweatdrop
I've become such a wimp in my old age.
She left alot out herself, the situations she had found herself in the past year were complicated and few of them spoke well of her in her mind. Her debt, the struggles she had with Yarnarth, the blood oath she made to CEO Evan White, the recent remergence of her other personality, and her recent training with the GSF were left out.
"Well, I finally got over my allergic reaction to magic users," she said, still blushing, "That's good news. So what have you been doing lately?"
She asked, anxious to get the conversation steered away from her.

He let a small smile show on his face as she described working for Raven, seeing how she blushed when mentioning her reliance on others.
'Still the same one I remember..'
As she continued, he began to percieve what he thought to be a slight discomfort in her talking about herself, and he quickly sought to keep her from becoming too uncomfortable. Quote: "Well, I finally got over my allergic reaction to magic users.." He smiled and said, "Well I thought that day would never come..I guess we all change though.." he continued, "Well, I guess I've spent most of the last few weeks walking, really not the most exciting thing in the world..I've been making my way back to the Aekea actually, but all the crap going on here really hasn't helped much.."

"Back to the Mercenary League HQ?" she asked, "I suppose I've been neglecting it a little, but those guys are such pros they pretty much govern themselves for the most part. I was thinking about getting some of the old crew together to fight in the HoH tournament. Fact is, I'm in debt up to my ears, and that prize would really help. Would you like to fight with me?"
She smiled, then ordered him some far eastern tea, as it was all you could drink for a credit. They bought it to the table quickly.
"So, what do you think of the the situation in the west?" she asked, "The situation in Ymiristan with the recent undead attacks, and now this St. Aggripina in Barthavos. Do you think it ties together in some way?"

The prospect of fighting in the HoH amazed even him. He had been late at discovering its existence, for he was in the desert at the time, and from first hearing of the glorious tournament, he wished to participate in any means necessary. He stared into her eyes, looking for a hint of someone joking around, but he found none. Not noticing the tea set in front of him, he muttered, "Are you serious? I thought that competition was for those 'gods' of fighting..A mutt like me would never fit into a paradise like that." He realized how he sounded and quickly looked down into his cup of tea. "I mean I'd love to help you in any way possible, but..I just don't know..
The steaming cup seemed to draw his complete attention as he answered her second question, "Those attacks..Right from hearing about those I knew the cause was the same. No thought on my part.." Still looking at the table surface he picked up his cup and sipped the surprisingly refreshing liquid inside.

"My thoughts exactly," she said, to bad it was her fault that cause had been released into the world. "I have a question to ask you, have you seen, him?"She was refering to the Unforgiven_One, the one who had killed the man who taught her how to live and had been a father to her the first few years after she 'reawoke' to this nightmare world. The one who went berserk and killed his own men. She had never forgotten about him, and had attempted to keep tabs on his whereabouts, only to lose him whenever she had a clue. "I wan't to ask him something." she explained, "I want to ask him why."

At the sudden re-emergence of her dominant behavior, he couldn't help but to react in a similar manner,"Er..yes Captain, anything you like.." He was genuinely thrilled to now know he was to fight alongside his old boss, like the old days. The possibility of vast sums of money also made him numb with glee. Her sudden change in desposition caught his attention, and immediately he knew who she spoke of. "You know, I've been making my way around this continent for months now, and all I can say is that Damien is the only one I've met that I could clearly recognize. I haven't seen Him (U_O) in years."

Outside the city walls.
"This is stupid, I need to get home!" A woman huffed to herself, walking to the gate with arms folded. "All these guards... we'll be here all night?"
Others murmured... something along the lines of relaxing, though they understood. There were others who were likely as annoyed as her, but were a little less vocal.
Standing before the city wall- not by the guards, but along a section that wasn't being hawked by a guard (so they could see her but they'd have to actually move to reach her, since she wasn't at the front gate), she yelled up at the top of her lungs.
"GODDAMN IT, OPEN THE GATES!!"

What? They werent going to go after him? So then, the guards are expecting any threat to come to them while they hole out in one area? Well then, he'd take his time. Decruda just strolled down the alleys, going this way and that as a ranger in dense woodland.

Still nothing huh?
Well, he'd take a seat in the alleys and just wait for a bit, like, a couple hours. Might as well take a break after walking around for a couple of hours right? Maybe something will come to him, or maybe not. He'll just wait and see.

Lilith ran off in whichever direction the ninja wasn't blocking, feeling weary as her spell wore off and her size returned to normal. She wouldn't bother waiting to see if her last spell finished him off; enough time has already been wasted. She paused to cast a healing spell on herself to stop the bleeding in her shoulder, then moved on, throwing obstacles like trash cans and random piles of debris in her path. Turning a corner, she could see the mausoleum in the center of the cemetary, and ran at a dead sprint for the door.

Zetsumeii I haven't seen Him (U_O) in years." "Kid," she said under her breath, staring down at her food for the longest time before she snapped out of it and actually took a bite. "Well," she said, anything to change the subject, stifle those bad memories and prevent her moist eyes from filling up. She absolutely could not allow herself to get weak and emotional in front of a fellow mercenary, it was not acceptable, "Well........ There's a damn fine battle in the underground here that we have no chance of getting in on, that pisses me off royally! Maybe if we sit here long enough something will make it out and we can kill it. In for a little waiting game?" twisted Their was no getting out of the city anyway, so what else was there to do besides wait?
