((Hahaha. Running is good! Homework is good for you...but not good to do. D: Also, these next two days are going to be busy for me, so I won't be posting as much as usual.
I gotta do so much stuff for my friend's surprise party. Goodness me. Haha.))
Lilith looked up at him when he withdrew and she pursed her lips just before he kissed them. When he let go, she shrugged. "I have no choice. It's either put up with you or kill you. Killing just seems messy to me. Plus Abel wouldn't approve." She watched him quietly without saying much and then looked in at his apartment. Without an invitation she walked past Saul and inside.
Abel sat down next to Leah with a little laugh and shook his head. "It's okay. Nothing too important." Though he said that, everything that was happening was especially important. He followed her gaze over to Cain who had just down and started eating. He noticed Leah look away quickly. He simply smiled and leaned against the table.
Lilith looked around then over to Saul. "What a boring place. It's kind of ugly really. Nothing on the walls...not even a mirror. God. Like a mental institution...without the bars and crazy...no wait...there are crazy people here. Without the bars." She nodded before noticing Leah. "Who's that?" She asked bluntly
Abel looked at Lilith with another smile and then back at Leah. "Do you want to come with me over to Mei's place to give Talen some more company? I kind of...ditched him."

((Haha, that's alright... I should be doing hooomewoooork... SO. IT'LL PROBABLY DO ME GOOD IF YOU DON'T POST TOO OFTEN. *laughs* But good luck with all your business... FO' REEEEEEEEAL.))
Saul only grinned and shook his head at Lilith's remark and then followed in after her. He seemed to be near laughing when spotted Leah looking more than a little uncomfortable at the newcomers in the room.
"O-oh." Leah smiled tentatively. "Well, alright." She said avoiding eye contact with everyone except Abel and Saul. When Lilith suddenly asked who she was she looked at Abel with a helpless expression then back to Lilith."I... uh. I'm..."
Cain raised his gaze from his plate to give Leah a very condescending expression, chewing slowly.
"She's Leah." Saul said, ignoring Lilith's other comments.
"We're just friends!" Leah spouted and fidgeted. "FRIENDS." She emphasized.
Cain started to laugh.
At Abel's offer Leah was up on her feet. "Yes please!" She said, her face the picture of grateful. "I would love that! Very MUCH!"
Cain raised his eyebrow at Abel and shook his head.
((Hhahaha, omg, she's so afraid of Lilith and Cain.))

Abel noticed the way Leah was avoiding looking at Lilith or Cain. Normally he'd be worried, but he understood why, perhaps more than she did. Anyone would be fearful of the two siblings. He knew Cain was powerful, frightening, and threatening. He had never seen Lilith fight, but he knew she had that cold air to her that could chill just about anyone. The two were opposites that when put together could make anyone fearful.
Lilith simply stared at Leah and turned her head slightly. The combination of both her cold, blank stare, and Cain's condescending one made Abel get closer to Leah and put a hand to her back for reassurance.
"Oh don't worry. I know you're just friends, I've always thought Saul had good taste in woman." She didn't aim it at Leah, but there was that understated sharpness to her words that made it an insult. As Cain started to laugh, Lilith rolled her eyes and took some food from off his plate, putting it into her own mouth.
Abel laughed, much more kindly than Cain and smiled. "I'm glad..." He said sweetly, glancing at Cain and Lilith before he stood up when Leah. "You guys are welcome to come if you want. Maybe I can get Mei on your side." He fixed his scarf around his neck and scratched his head.
Lilith's eyes raised, a gloved hand holding a slice of orange. She said nothing, simply started pulling the meat of the fruit off the peel, more menacingly than the average person might eat a fruit. "Mmmmm...maybe you should make sure if Miss Leah wants our company? She seems awfully repulsed by us. Normally people are with Cain around...but then again...you do want to make sure she's comfortable."
Abel frowned and looked at Leah. "I'm sorry...I know..." He stopped and leaned towards her, bending his head low so only she could hear. "If you aren't okay with them being around you...I understand. But they won't hurt you...not if I am here." He then pulled back, watching her carefully.
((I think the main reason I edited this was to make the post count even. Hahaha. I'm weird...))

((... Hhahahaha, you are weird. SO WEIRD.
LIKE. A FREAK.))
Leah seemed to shrink at Lilith's gaze. She fidgeted nervously with her hands, but paused at her rather subtle insult. "Oh." Was all she managed, taken aback. She swallowed, and then relaxed as Abel spoke again, getting to his feet.
However, at his invitation she was slowly shaking her head no, and her eyes clearly said the same thing. Saul was grinning at her, hiding a laugh in his hand. Leah flushed as Lilith seemed to catch on, even though it was aware to anyone she was uncomfortable around them.
"I'm not repulsed!" She made sure to say. Cain was laughing again. Leah fidgeted. "I just... You..." Her gaze drifted between either of them and she pointed. "Your mom!" She declared.
Saul had to sit down he was laughing so hard. Cain was staring at her blankly, not quite sure what just happened.
"My mom?" He looked at Lilith and frowned. "What?"
Leah wagged her finger between them. "Yeah!" She said, though she was aware that was probably the stupidest insult anyone could have conjured up... but maybe if she acted like it was something terrible they wouldn't notice. She smiled gratefully at Abel.
"They can come if they want... I just... uh... I'm not used to... this." She laughed, Abel's easy way of bringing people comfort making her feel just silly again. She tugged at her hair helplessly.
"Maybe we can come by later." Saul offered. "How about that?"
((WAAAAA!... hahahaha, poor Leah. SHE'S GETTING BULLIED. Ah well. That's what Abel is there for... FFFFF. your Mom.))

((Haha. I JUST got back from decorating my friend's place for her party. And there was a moment, when I was downstairs, looking up, with ballons on the banisters, lights and candles lit that got I really giddy and started jumping for joy.
Hahahaha. I love this woman so much that I got excited...FOR her. Wheeee can't wait for tomorrow!
Which brings me to why I am posting so late...cause I know I probably won't be able to post tomorrow...and if so...only once...))
Lilith met Cain's blank gaze when Leah said "your mom". She crossed her arms and blinked. "My...mom? Our mom?" She looked back at Cain and shrugged. "What about her? It's weird how you change subjects so quickly." And with that she grabbed some more food.
Abel was containing his laughter, not at the 'your mom', because he was just as confused as Cain and Lilith, but at the fact Saul was laughing so much. Saul's laughter made him want to laugh as well. "Alright." He finally said at Saul's statement. "Please do though. I bet Talen wants to to see Lilith." He smiled and moved to the door. "Let's get going, Leah." he said and opened the door, taking a step back and holding it open for her.
Lilith sat down in Leah's seat and started to pick up her left overs, putting them in her mouth. "Last time I had cooked food...was..." She paused and looked up in thought. "Well a long time. We never have anything good...just fast food or refrigerated stuff." She muttered mostly to herself, over a mouth of sausage.

((A POST BEFORE I GO TO WORK... And I didn't end up really getting a chance to post anyway... SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO FEEL BAD ABOUT ME FEELING SAD THAT YOU WEREN'T THERE TO KNOW WHEN I WAS POSTING.
The end! And I hope your party was fun...! You decorations sound epic D:< ))
Saul smiled. "All right. I make sure we show up." He glanced at Cain who shrugged, not really caring. Saul wasn't too sure about bringing Cain, mostly because Talen probably wouldn't be as excited to see him as he would be his sister. He quirked his mouth, but Cain didn't seem to notice his look.
Leah smiled tentatively again and waved at her friend. "Don't take too long." She encouraged.
Saul grinned and waved back and then to Abel as he led Leah out the door. Once she was gone he looked to Lilith, his mouth tilted into a smile. "You're going to have to be nicer to her." He passed off the rest of his plates to his guests. "She doesn't like the abuse like I do."
Once in the hall Leah relaxed, exhaling a great puff of air. "Oh my GOD!" She cried, laughing with relief. "They always like that? I'm going to have to get a tougher skin!" She bared her arms in a muscular pose, and looked ridiculous while doing so. "If they are going to be around more, and by the look of Saul's face that woman will be... I'm going to have to get more CONFIDENT!" She nodded firmly, leading her way down the hall.
She paused, came back, and walked with Abel. "But thanks." She said more quietly. "For covering for me back there." She smiled just a little bit and touched Abel's arm briefly. "I probably woulda been lunch meat if you hadn't have been there! But I can take care of myself!" She pressed her lips together, brow furrowed. "... Well. Sometimes."
Shaking her head Leah grabbed Abel's arm. "LEAD ON!" She exclaimed.
((hahaha, soooo helpless.))

Lilith looked at Saul and shook her head. "Nice? I've always considered myself a decent person. If being nice means just lying all over the place, I'd rather be terrible. Which...I kind of am. So there ya go I guess." She said over some food. She leaned back and breathed in deeply.
"Abel seems different..." She finally said after a few minutes of quiet. "He's always seemed like he's been hiding things or holding stuff back, but I think he's gotten even more reclusive." She opened her eyes and shifted in her chair, pulling at her gloves. "He's a strange guy though. I just don't get him like I do everyone else."
((Hahaha. So truuueee. Weirdo.))
Abel laughed softly at Leah's comment and he nodded. "Yeah...they're a bit tough to handle the first time you meet them, especially Cain. He's always been hard to handle. But Lilith is really a good person, she just tells whatever is on her mind without filtering stuff out first. She doesn't mean to be harsh...she just comes off that way." He smiled and then watched as she went off on her own like last time.
As she came back he smiled again and shrugged. "Don't thank me. It's alright. It's kind of what I do..." He trailed off when she grabbed his arm. For a moment he stiffened and stopped. His smile dropped. Something inside him churned and painful images leaked into his mind. He took in a startled breath and swallowed.
"Um. Yeah." He said quickly and very gently eased his arm from her and started walking down the hall. His heart ached and he felt tired. Those memories brought back a feeling he had forgotten was there, an overwhelming loss and loneliness that had once dominated everything he had felt.
((Wheeee. Crazzzzy.))

((OH NOOOO. EMOTIONSSSS!!!))
Saul only grinned at her response and didn't say anything more about it. Cain quirked his mouth.
"She's a b***h." He decided. "But that woman was just too easy to mess with."
Saul shook his head. "You would know."
Cain shrugged.
At Lilith's remark Saul nodded his head, smile falling a little. "I don't know what's happened to him all these years... maybe it was the distance from us that made him..." He trailed off, not sure. "But there's nothing I can do about it. If Talen can't even get him to speak... I don't think anyone can. I always thought they were close, but now I wonder who really IS close with Abel..." He shrugged and seemed to frown.
"It's sad." He finished.
((LALALA. LA. LALAL. Oh Abel.))
Leah frowned a little as he slid his arm from her grip. She looked up at him, and flushed.
"OH! I'm sorry!" She drew away from him completely. "I wasn't aware you didn't like to be touched! AH! Sorry! I'm just real touchy. I like to hug and be around people and hold hands and all this... I'm sorry! I've had this problem before with other people like you! I had a boyfriend like that once! Probably why he broke up with me." She laughed to herself, seemed to realize she was talking too much again and came to her point:
I'll keep my hands to myself!" She put them flat on her thighs. "Promise! You just let me know if I do it again and I'll fix it!"
With that out of the way she went with him down the stairs of the apartment complex, and onto the sidewalk outside where they walked to Mei's.
((Hahha, I am SO not used to this kind of character. NOT. AT. ALL.))

Abel didn't say much the rest of the way to Mei's house. He knew he shouldn't have reacted that way, but the memories haunted him, and that was something that was beyond his control. He had pushed them away for so long that the fact they were seeping back was frightening. Things were starting to crumble, things he had worked so hard in sealing away, or building walls for.
As they approached the house he looked over to Leah with a smile. "Here we are. Have you been here before? Something else isn't it?" He laughed a little and walked up the walkway to the door. Before he even stepped in front of the door, it opened. All three dogs came running out, tails wagging. They jumped up on Abel and he laughed, petting them.
Mei walked out, face full of frustration and worry. "If I could kill you...I would." She said, voice more soft than if she were trying to truly threaten the man. "Where have you BEEN?!" She finally said loudly. The three dogs jumped down and moved over to Leah, tongues hanging joyfully from their mouths.
"Um...at Saul's apartment." Abel said, avoiding any details. "I met Leah and we ended up there and then-" He stopped due to Mei running into him and wrapping her arms around him. He looked down at her, brows furrowed together. "Is something wrong?"
"You scared me." She whispered to him.
((Awwwww. Haha. Also, I dunno what to do with Lilith and Company right now. So unless you have something in mind, we can focus on them later. ;] ))

((ALRIGHT! TIME TO POOOOSTTTTTT. BABY. Hahaha, this whole working one day a week thing is kinda... nice... and also, really sucks... I keep putting off all my work because of it :/
AND NAH. LILITH AND CAIN AND SAUL CAN CHILL. I dunno about you, but having too many characters to write for can get PRETTY TIRESOME. AS MUCH AS I LOVE THEM ALL.))
Abel's silence made Leah a little anxious, not because silences made her nervous, but mostly she was afraid she had done something truly out of line... and she didn't know what to do about it. So, she was quiet herself, worrying over what Abel might think of her and thinking that probably she had ruined everything forever and that was just terrible because she had only just met him and he had been so nice to her what with tolerating everything she was prone to do doing and she went and-
"Oh." She said, realizing they were there. She smiled up at him, carefully, as if she was sure she shouldn't because of what she had seemingly done to him. "Oh yeah! Well... not but a few times... and I mean, she doesn't really KNOW me that well, but I have-oh!" She watched as Mei came out of the house and confronted the man beside her. To be polite she looked elsewhere and turned her attention on the dogs gamboling around her.
"Hello!" She said to them cheerfully and proceeded to have the sort of one sided conversations you had with dogs. She gave them all a good rub behind their ears and then looked up as someone called her name.
"Leah!" Talen said from the doorway. He was grinning. "What the hell, I haven't seen you in awhile." He beckoned her inside to help her with her awkward situation of being put into the middle of yet another situation she had no idea what was going on. She smiled at him gratefully and remembered just why she liked him. "How was breakfast?"
"Good." Leah said. "Abel made it." And she gestured back at him. "When men cook that good I usually think think are gay, but I think he's all right."
Talen laughed loudly, shaking his head. "Oh man, have I missed you." He said honestly.
Leah didn't seem to understand why. "Oh... well, yes." She glanced over her shoulder again.
((Hhahahahaha, uh huh.))

Mei pulled away from Abel and rubbed her eyes. "I'm still pissed as hell at you. So don't think you'll get off that easily." She said diligently and looked over to see Leah and Talen talking. She sighed slightly and looked back at Abel who wasn't really looking anywhere at all. She was going to ask him questions again, but knew it'd just escalate once more.
"Abel?" She said and the angel blinked, looking down to her and smiling. "Let's go inside." Turning, she walked over to Leah and patted her on the back. "Hey, cutie pie." She winked and moved into the house.
Abel stayed where he was for a minute, rubbing his hands together. He still felt uneasy and hurt, but being back here made things feel just slightly better. Soon enough the memories and images would be forgotten again. "Hi." He said to Talen with a smile. "Sorry...about running away. I shouldn't have just left you." He rubbed his neck and moved towards the door, eyes staring ahead of him.
Zeus trailed behind him. He glanced briefly at Leah and Talen and got closer to Abel, lowering his head. Abel passed through the doorway and nearly tripped over Zeus who was pressed against his legs. He steadied himself and looked at the dog. "Woah...be careful there." He said with a little laugh.

((UUUGH. Finished my homework. MAN. This weekend I was so sure I was going to get away with only a little work.
SO. WRONG. SO PAINFULLY WRONG.))
Leah smiled at Mei's pat on the back and waved vaguely. She looked back at Talen. "So... you're with her now?"
Talen blinked, laughed and then furrowed his eyebrows at her. "Well... I... yeah." He laughed oddly, liking how that sounded.
Leah smiled broadly and then patted Talen on the shoulder. "FINALLY." Is all she said and then turned to follow Mei inside. She paused briefly at the door watching Abel merely stand there for a moment's time. She seemed to look concerned watching him there, and only smiled when he began to move again.
"Hi back." Talen grinned at his friend gently. "S'alright. Forget about it. I missed you only A LOT, but you know, I got over it. I cried a river... built a bridge?" He gripped Abel's shoulder firmly in reassurance. He chuckled a little as Abel nearly tripped. "Distracted today?" He wanted to know.
Leah was looking worried about him again. "It's because I touched him." She confessed after a long pause. "It's my fault. I should go."
Talen glanced at her confused and then back at Abel.
((IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT, LEAH. YOU'VE MADE HIM THIS WAY. YOU SHOULD BE VERY ASHAMED.
SOOO ASHAMED.))

Abel stopped when Talen spoke to him and he laughed a little. "Yeah. I guess." He said, ringing his hands together. He could faintly hear soft talking and smell perfume. It made him feel both sick and comforted. The comfort was empty however. It made him want more of something he could never have again.
As Leah talked he looked up again and over to her. "What? No." He shook his head, smiling. "No...please don't. I asked you to come. Please stay." He watched her with pleading eyes that no one could really turn down. At that moment Mei took the opportunity to stick her head out the door.
"What's taking forever? Are you bozos coming inside or what? You're letting bugs in the house." She disappeared again, followed by some muttering and clanking around.
Abel watched the door for a moment and shrugged. Walking inside he looked around and very quickly dusted off one of the pictures hanging on the wall. "You're house is dusty..." He commented. Mei sneered at him and shrugged.
"Clean it then." She said simply and looked over to Talen and Leah. "So what do you guys want to do today?" She stopped as Abel wandered away and came back with a rag. "I didn't mean...whatever..." she muttered as Abel started to dust off all the pictures. "Anyways, I was thinking we could take Abel shopping. He needs some new clothes. I only have a few pieces of clothing..." She stepped to the side as Abel moved around her, reaching up to dust off a rather large painting.
"Let's just get him OUT of here." She groaned, watching him look rather strictly at a photo and start to rub some fingerprints off of it.
((Hahaha. I haven't had him clean in a while...))

((OKAY. POST POST POST POST... Today was strange. I watched a weird japanese movie which made me laugh so hard I cried. CRIED.))
Talen frowned a little, watching his friend more closely. Then turned to Leah as he spoke to her again. She looked at him anxiously, but nodded her head smiling faintly.
"Okay." She agreed. "But I PROMISED you I wouldn't touch you again! So with THAT in mind you should cheer up!" She glanced at Talen and he smiled. "Yeah." She finished awkwardly. She jumped when Mei appeared again and then dashed inside after her. "I'm sorry!" She called.
Talen gave his friend one more look before going in himself. At Mei's question he shrugged and looked to Leah. She blinked at all of them in turn, watching Abel clean with a rather baffled expression on her face before looking back to Mei.
"SURE!" She exclaimed of her offer. "That could be fun."
"Oh yeah." Talen said. "That's the word." He smiled.
"No! Really! He's like... all.. unnaturally pretty... like a MAN Barbie. I can DRESS HIM!" She grinned and frowned only slightly when Talen exploded into laughter again. "... Well... he is." She defended. "And I don't mean DRESS HIM DRESS HIM, because that would be touching him and I already promised I wouldn't... but I... clothes... lots of blues." She trailed off, worrying the ends of her hair.
