That decision was easier to make. Adam instantly flew as fast as his wings could carry him after the mortal man. he wasn't able to stop him smashing trhough the stained glass window, but he did manage to stop him hitting the ground. he caught teh man, the weight of him slamming him onto the ground. they sidded and stopped. the man was bleeding, but still alive..just.

Gabriel smiled and eyed the Bezerker as he spoke to Lazerus. "Ah you 're foolish as ever. Me and God are partners, we control each other only as gravity controls a galaxy. The gravity pulls the stars together to from a galaxy, but without the stars, no galaxy wodul exist, and there would be no gravity at all."
he let his wings stop flappinga dnremained stationary in the air.
"Your arrogance and your pride are you weaknesses, child." he adde dot Lazerous, knowing that to call him young would incite him. teh demon liekd ot think he was old and distinguished at times

Opal watched as Adam went after the mortal. "As expected," she said. She looked around the church now practically in ruins. She pulled out a duck shaped wind up toy. Winding the device she then placed the duck on the ground. The duck wobbled across the floor and Opal left.
Outside she went over to where Dougal had landed. He was bleeding heavily. She once again used her puppet strings and dragged his body away before.....
*BOOM*
"Good ducky," Opal said. She looked down at Dougal, "I shall be reporting to the master on your progress." She then released his body and walked off.

Gabriel looked down patiently at him and then gave a sweet smile. “I tell you: arrogance. That’s what’s wrong with you. You are so arrogant that you think that my not attacking is anything to do with my being afraid or intimidated by you. You know fully well that Llender and I are two completely different beings. If I can take down Lucifer I can take down you and your pet. I am giving you a chance to return where you belong, or state your reason for being here. “
Natasha listened to the two and looked over at Nikoli, a bead of sweat running down her face in tension. She’d never come across anything like this before, and didn’t know what to do. Every cell in her braid said to run in the opposite direction. But to do so would be foolish - innocent people would be killed if these huge demon was allowed to exist. And that wasn’t even speaking of this sinister ‘lazerous’ character.
---
Adam heard the church explode before he saw it and ducked, shielding the human's body with his own and trying to cover his head with his arms and wings. rubbled rained down with teh sky, and he knew that all isnide were dead as soon as it happened. he coud feel their souls. "NO! nugh..." he snarled and thumped the ground in despair.

Dougal awoke-his body burning in pain and from.....He opened one eye and saw the church in flames.
He slowly staggered to his feet and bled dropping the plushie. He felt Adam's presence on the other side of the burning remains. Dougal stumbled over....slowly. When he saw Adam cursing, hitting the ground he tried to call Adam and reach out. "Ad-," Dougal's call was interuppted by the sudden blood he coughed up. Dougal's vision blurred and he collasped.

Gabriel tilted his head at Lazerous. “Let me answer your question with another question, my dear: how many angels are in heaven, and how many demons are there? Certainly there are more angels up there than there are demons in hell and on Earth combined. So let us not start an argument with a relation to numbers.”
--
Adam sighed and stepped away from the man, having laid him on his back. He hoped that his senses were wrong, that there was someone in that building alive. He walked in, picking his way through the rubble and bodies and thought he heard someone cry out. He blinked and looked around, and eventually found Dougal. “oh..” he went to the fallen demon and propped his head up on his lap. “oh, Dougal, i’m so sorry. Can you hear me?”

Dougal's body shook but he gave no response. --------------------------------------------- Elsewhere in the city....
Opal found a concealed-quieter place in the city. She knelt down, bit her thumb to draw blood and began painting symbols on the ground.
"Master Beelio....your puppet brings news upon the events on the mortal plains....." --------------------------------------------- Outside-away from the city Aisling heard the explosion. She stopped and watched the chaos.

The blood symbols quivered and the shadows seemed to gather into them. Soon Beelio’s form rose out of them, although eh was considerably more ghost like than he had been before, seeming to comprise solely of shadows this time. He was weak, his time on earth for the day being used up. But he could watch and listen. “Opal...” he said with a pleased tilt of his head. “it is good to hear from you, my loyal servant. What have you to tell me?”
-
Adam frowned nad picked Dougal up. He could hear sirens in the distance, glad that for all the horros that happened in this city that they still had teh will to help. They would find thw mortal man, but Adam didn't wnat them to find Dougal and assume the worst. He spread hsi winsg and flew up and out towards one of the rooftops, and placed dougal down genty, hoping the cool air woudl rouse him. Otehrwise he would have to try and bring him back to Hell, which he imagined Dougal would not want. It had taken enough effort to get out of there

Opal bowed her head.
"Events have not unfolded to your will. During the pursuit of Aisling, according to Dougal, Saito turned and allowed the ghost and the archdemon, Adam to escape. Dougal has claimed to be befriending the archdemon in order to gain his trust and thus closer to the girl.....however I believe she is not them at the moment and is on the run. Mostly likely.....alone.
In other events.....the city of Nave is becoming nothing but burnt ruins. The motrals summoned Gabriel in hopes of protection but Lazarus and his puppet seem to be keeping him busy at the moment.
Your puppet awaits its master's commands."

The great maw in Beelio’s stomach stirred and growled in irritation, splitting for a moment to show it’s teeth before retracting back to seeming invisibility. Beelio flapped his useless wings and scratched his chin with one abnormally long finger. “hmmn... Things are indeed out of balance. I do not believe that Dougal is trustworthy, no matter what he says. He is too close to the ghost girl, and is mortal of heart. Even the slightest kindness that traitor of an archdemon would show to him would be likely to stir Dougal’s heart.” He paused a moment, mulling the thoughts over, without any sense of self conciouness at the time he took to do so. “The girl is alone. So I wish for you to pursue her and ensnare her until I return tomorrow.” He flcike dup another finger for the number two. “second... it is very bad that the city is being so decimated by these pathetic demons. Too much destruction and the rest of the mortal world will be alerted to it. Demons are out of hiding, yes, but we do not want every tom, d**k and harry of a mortal to know this. We do not require any more armed forces. I shall send orders that the operation is to be scaled down. We need the map pieces and those alone. Not to gratuitously slaughter the mortals just because we can.” He snapped the last sentence, in part aimed at Opal for her last ‘display’. “But that said, your current actions have bought us some time with Adam and Dougal. Which is pleasant. That Gabriel has arrived greatly disturbs me. Watch him like a hawk. Do not approach him outright, however, for he will kill you. But if you can gain his trust...well that is a commendable skill my dear.”

"The puppet shall do as the master commands," Opal said without expression as the symbols faded.
Opal approached the edge of the city. She used her puppet strings to search through the mangled mess of energies. ---------------------------------------------------- Aisling did not turn to Saito nor come out of hiding.
She projected her thoughts, "....you...still.....pursue me....follow...."
