Sandra smiled back at him and gently nuzzled his cheek with hers. "You know, I wonder if we were physically made for each other, too," she said. She didn't think it would be possible for her to enjoy doing this with anyone else, as much as with SHiki.

Sandra smiled and then a yawn surprised her. She reached her hand up to cover it. "Len needs a dream to eat, right?" she asked him.

"I don't need her help to fall asleep, but she can have my dreams once I am," Sandra replied and pulled the covers up higher on her. "I guess I shouldn't deny her a meal," she added and then leaned into kiss Shiki goodnight.

 "Sweet dreams, or not," Shiki said and kissed Sandra as well. Len was awoken and she slowly made her way to the head of their bed. She lay down on the pillow over their heads.

Sandra smiled at him and then settled her head on the pillow and closed her eyes. Soon sleep found her and she nodded off.
((I'm starting to really wonder how this whole thing between Kir and Lily is going to turn out...))

 Shiki's eyes clouded when she fell asleep. He looked up at Len, who appeared to be napping now. Then his eyes went back to Sandra. He couldn't go to sleep. He refused to. (Well in one more post Kir's going to stop doing everything because he needs nourishment. You can do whatever you like then ~_^)

Sandra slept peacefully for quite a few hours before stirring. She figured that Shiki would be awake, remembering what he had told her about his dream.
((Cool. Man, Lily's going to be all screwed up now that she thinks that kir is practically dead. ))

Shiki had fallen asleep despite his best intentions. But he didn't look peaceful. He occasionally flinched from the nightmare he was having and he wasn't breathing anymore.

Sandra was surprised when Shiki was asleep and then scared when he wasn't breathing. "Hey, Shiki," she said, patting his cheek, trying to wake him up.

Shiki made one small cough in reply, then grit his teeth. He turned onto his stomach and sobbed with a ragged breath.

"Shiki!" Sandra cried and pushed herself up so she was sitting. She tried to think of someway to help him.

"...I'll...protect...her..." Shiki said through clenched teeth. Then it was like what was choking him had left him alone. He started coughing and gasping for air.
