Bornes returned the forced smile. Too many things were going through his head.
"Isiah," He leaned forward with his words again. "May I hug you?"
Oh god. Of all the things he could've said... Bornes would've liked to be slapped, then.

Isiah gave a soft chuckle. It was just such a perfectly awkward thing to do in such a completely uncomfortable situation. He opened up his arm to hug him to his side, in a masculine, friendly way, before releasing him quickly.

The hybrid gave a slight frown when Isiah chuckled, but then the other came in for the hug, allowing for Bornes to do the same.
Bornes squeezed him tight, didn't want to let go or release from the warmth of the other man's skin, but Isiah began to pull away... And Bornes didn't want the other to feel any more awkward about the whole thing, and pulled away himself.
It had ended all too fast for Bornes; he wanted more. He didn't realize how much he missed simply being with someone until just then. He loosely crossed his arms, his hands holding the opposite arms in his lap. He certainly didn't feel like a man, now.
He felt like a child, but at least he knew Isiah had felt the same last night. Did he not?
"I'm willing to try," Bornes blurted out. He immediately hung his head in shame, combing his left hand's fingers through his hair. "Non, I mean..." What was he thinking?!
Isiah had just said less tension. Less!
The younger man groaned in frustration. His father wasn't here. So why should he care what his father thought? Isiah was proud of his... Gayness? Bornes knew he still liked women, so why would admitting he wanted a man be that hard?

Isiah sighed inwardly once their brief hug was over, pulling away, resting his hands on his thighs. His fingers twitched for want of the human contact, but it was over, and part of him was glad.
However, when Q kept talking.. and oh sweet God, try what?
"... What do you mean? This?" He tried to be equally vague shouldhe be referring to something else.

Bornes turned to Isiah again, his green eyes pleading. this?
"Oui!" Oh, he was nervous now. The faint red of a blush began to creep up from behind his ears. "Yes, this. Dis.." He gave a slight growl. Not one of threat or playfulness, but of slight frustration, still. "You move too fast. We could move slowlier-- slower. Yes. Ahhh..."
His words were not coming to him. He was so frustrated with himself. At the situation, at himself trying to admit this, at everything.
"My first lover was a boy," he admitted. "But I'm not gay," he was failing even more, now.

Isiah listened to him, struggling to keep his expression relaxed- or as relaxed as he possibly could. He chewed on the inside of his cheek, gulping. "... Well.. whatever you want to call it," he said quietly and nonaggressively. "It's. I'll let you make the decisions, it'll just be easier that way."
He turned a deep red, from his cheeks, down his neck and chest to his navel, his tattoos seemingly brighter against the new, red background.

"Ah, I am so sorry!" he wailed. "I am not masculine at all! We are not for each other, are we?" His voice had raised an octave. He was whining. Worried and whining and making himself look so much worse.

Isiah winced a little as his voice went higher, his brow furrowing forward. "I.. I don't know! How the hell should I know!" He turned away, turning an even darker red. "I mean we're good friends, right?" He paused. "I don't know if we should be talking about this right now.

Isiah pushed his way onto his feet, folding his arms tightly. "Maybe when all this," meaning their tension. "Blows over. Maybe after some beers. I don't know!" He grunted, heading toward the door. "Later! I need some air.."

Bornes' entire face was red, now. "You said there were no beers!"
Once Isiah had left, however, he put his head in his hands. Pathetic.

Isiah nearly ran once he was outside of their domicile, toward the uninhabited part of town, taking a seat on what used to be a brick wall that now just served as a hip high fence. He buried his face in his hands, rubbing his temples with his forefingers, breathing deeply, trying to regain some sense.
He didn't know what to make of his situation, and really he didn't want to think about it. Things like this went away on their own, and the only reason Q could be talking about it was.. well, he didn't WANT it to go away. And after making such a big deal about..
He stopped his thought process there. He should be happy anyone even wants him. He'd been alone since.. well.. banishment. Then again, he hadn't exactly been looking, but..
He pulled his face from his hands, shutting his eyes, taking a deep breath as the stars made their feeble attempt to poke through the haze and failed. He rolled his head on his neck. Really he should be trying to sleep... but he needed more time to wash the situation from himself.

Bornes stayed sitting on the bed, pushing the heels of his hands into his eyes for a few moment. He groaned, the tension welling up within him, before he stood up, turned around, and kicked the frame of the cot.
"I should've left it alone!" he growled to himself in French. He kicked the bedframe a few more times, the cot bouncing along the floor at every hit.
Speaking french helped to soothe his stress, as well, but that didn't lessen his anger. I made myself look like a fool! he yelled in his mind.
He wished he could just rewind the whole thing and not said anything. That stupid sexual assault must've screwed with his senses. His common sense, too. Did he just forget how to pick up anyone? Or had he not needed to perfect that skill since he had paid for relationships his last few years?
"Augh!" he kicked the cot once more, than hung his head. He'd only been up... Maybe one or two hours? He was already tired. His stomach grumbled, and he figured he should probably eat something. He didn't remember eating yesterday...
Bornes took a large breath through his mouth, trying to calm himself down and look around for the duffel bag. After a quick scour, he couldn't find it, and walked outside toward the well.
When he got there, he looked down to the pool of water and the bucket. Had he ever actually come here to drink before? Or just look? He hmphed, and lowered the bucket so he could get a drink.
When he heard the thunk to the bottom, he was about to pull the thing back up when he heard someone begin to walk toward him.
His head turned, his hands still on the rope, as if he were afraid of it being stolen. Bornes' green orbs rested on Tsurai, who was simply standing there.
"Shouldn't you be in bed?" Bornes asked.
All the boy did was stare back.
Bornes was slightly creeped out, but wouldn't something like a child intimidate him, and decided to go back to pulling the bucket up from the well, his attention averted.

Kaegan arrived behind Tsurai, resting a thick hand on his shoulder. "What are you doing?"
Tsurai glanced back at him, jerking his head around. "I was just-"
Kaegan frowned. "Get inside. If you stay up any later you won't have any energy for laps tomorrow morning."
Tsurai looked up at him with a severe frown of distaste. "But Kaegan-"
"Now."
Tsurai cursed inwardly and marched back toward their domicile but never quite made it all the way in, hoping to catch any exciting moments between the two.
"You know," Kaegan began, quietly in hopes that Tsurai would get bored and give up. "I usually don't let outsiders drink from that. Water is scarce, you know." He paused for a long while. "But Tsurai says you're a..." He paused, snickering. "A werewolf. Not sure if that's a technical term, but.." He shrugged. "I use Jane to find food and water. She's not exactly trained for it, but.." He turned away. "This might be stupid to assume, but we've got a few people here who aren't fighters but serve their purpose, so we protect them. If you could serve a purpose, I'd be happy to provide you a rank and immunity."
He unfolded his arms. "Up to you."

Bornes had brought the bucket up to the top and had begun to bring it to his face when Kaegan came up. The hybrid glared above the bucket. The atmosphere was not normal, caring Kaegan.
He was truly acting as the dominating force now.
Bornes quietly lowered the bucket to sit on the lip of well, never taking his eyes from Kaegan. Bornes had known Tsurai would tell everyone about the werewolf thing, but he didn't think it would on anything actionable. The offer seemed good, but the way it was brought up seemed negative.
Bornes was getting mixed feelings. It wasn't as if Kaegan had simply not noticed he had a tail the entire time, had he? Was he blind?
"The french word they invented for me was Hybriat." ("hee bree ah")
Bornes watched as Kaegan turned away, going on about someone named Jane. Bornes didn't know Jane was referring to the dog, but from context clues he knew what Kaegan was getting at.
He crossed his arms over his own chest, mulling over what Kaegan was offering. It seemed like he was regretfully offering it as well. Like an olive branch of somesort. Should he assume Kaegan was being genuine?
"I offered help earlier. Surely there must be more reason than the one you gave for changing your mind?"
