"You would ask me to promise before I know what it is I am agreeing to?" Mallory asks a bit breathlessly, trying to gather his wits about him. Still, he neither made Lance explain himself, nor even wait for an answer. "I promise. I will do what you ask of me. I only hope I can trust you not to ask that which you must know I would normally refuse." Mallory gives Lance a small, nervous smile. He cannot help but think that, in his experience, making blind promises rarely ends well. So why did he agree to it?

Lance Grinned. "No matter how Any of this group meets their fate, Promise me that you will live on to concur your world, And live life to the fullest, Up until this point you have yet to spread your wings and fly my hatchling, You must not be lost before you can shine." he kissed The boy briefly. "You must be ready to do what ever it takes for you to live.” He reminded and hugged him tightly against his rock hard body.

"You say that as though I have done anything else this entire time... I have only run and run like a frightened rabbit." He rests his cheek on Lance's chest, hiding his face and its saddened expression. "And leave people behind, only hoping I will see them again. I do not think you need to worry; I hear cowards tend to live long lives." Mallory had not meant to become bitter in his reply, but with Alexia still not among them and remembering the regret that filled him as he watched Lance turn to face the way they had come... even Franky, so new to them, had been more than willing to turn back and defend Alexia. Mallory had continued to run. What else could that make him but a coward?

When Lillith finished singign the two songs she slowly opened her eyes and realized that the others had begun busying themselves with talking or raiding the food supplies and she quietly walked over to one of the cots, not far from Alphonse and sat down. She no longer looked scared, just a little lost as to what she should do.

Franky brought over the cup of simmering tea to Mallory. "Alphonse, Lilith, would you like some tea? I can boil more water." He smiled at Lance and Mallory and walked to where the burned out fire was.

"None for me, thank you. I never touch the stuff." Alphonse replied to Franky. Then he moved closer to Lillith and lifted one of her hands so that he could kiss he back of it. "Dear, lovely girl. I have not heard that song in many years. I am very grateful to you. It is a favorite of mine." He released her and smiled. "I dare say the singing seems to have also done you a bit of good."
Mallory suppressed the emotion showing through in his expression before he sat up to accept the tea from Franky. He even mustered a polite smile. "Merci beaucoup, mon ami." Mallory had practically forgotten he'd asked for the tea. Lance distracted him that thoroughly. Sipping the hot tea slowly, Mallory looked down upon Lance. He thought of the promise he had just made. And how did he intend to conquer his world? What was it he even wanted to do? No matter how any of this group meets their fate... those words pained his heart the most. There were people here he could not bear the thought of losing. Lance was one of them, but it was Lance who insisted he continue on, no matter the cost. Mallory kissed his own fingertips and placed them gently against Lance's lips. "You have my promise. But do not think I will forgive you easily if you take that to mean you may run off and get yourself killed. I expect you will have a care for your own well being, mon cher."

He bowed at both the men, and sat by the smoldering fire. He started a new fire, more contained. "Where is Ms. Alexia? Shouldn't she be here by now?" He put a pot with water over the fire again, and put some meat and some vegetables into the boiling water. Which he had chopped up with her fingernail's, of course. All vampires had the talent.

Lance tried to keep a smile for the boy. "I don't plan on leaving you Mallory, But if something should happen and I tell you to get out and run as far and as quick as you can, you must obey me and not feel bad for doing so." He sat up and looked to Frankie. "Lexi is on her way here At the Moment I'm sure." He lied. He had no clue at all what events had happened to Lexi. Lance was not as good has being a leader as he wished he could be but he knew never to openly doubt himself in front of the people he was so post to be leading.
Johnny stood and walked over to them. He sat beside Lance and placed a hand on the man's Knee. 'Lexi is alive but she has just encountered a man, he left and now she is readying to join us. She is taking so long because she wants to wait for our sent to dissipate before taking the long way to meet us.'
'Damn, Dose she want us to do anything?' Lance thought back grimacing. He was worried that he would have to explain Plan E to everyone. That would take over five minutes in and of it's self.
Johnny shook his head. "She just wants us to stay put and keep quite; he is very mean looking but a little dense. We should be able to avoid him.' Johnny took his hand off of lance and looked to Mallory. He winked and went back to where he had been sitting.

Mallory watched as Johnny approached. He put a hand on Lance's knee, but said nothing. Mallory could only guess that they were communicating and so he did not interrupt. Just as he was thinking he should give them some privacy, Johnny winked at him and walked away. "How rude of me; I am keeping you from your friends. I have not even introduced myself; they only know that you are over here and not over there."

Lance shrugged. “They know more about you than I do.” He said and patted the boy’s shoulder. The night before Johnny had offered to tell Lance the boy’s history, but he wanted to hear it from Mallory rather than from Johnny’s prodding into his unconscious. Unlike him, his roommates had learned almost everything there was to know about the kid. Lance kissed his cheek and placed his arm around the boy’s shoulder.

"They do? But how? Not that I doubt you, truly. It seems you all have interesting talents. Have they learned about all of us? Well, that much seems to go without saying, doesn't it? I hardly think I alone am so interesting as to warrant such close attention." It was probably something they always did. Assuming this little protect the fleeing flock thing was a normal activity for them. He had no idea; he felt he knew so little for one so certain he was in love. But what did that matter? There was no denying Lance had somehow dug his way into Mallory's heart and settled there. Mallory drained the last sip from his tea and sat the empty cup on the floor. Then he lay on his side, facing Lance with a sheepish smile. "I ask so many questions. I hope that I do not become tiresome. But you all seem terribly mysterious to me whereas I am apparently already known inside and out. Will you tell me more about the lot of you?" Mallory relaxed and made himself comfortable right against Lance.

Finally, my feet caressed familiar cobblestones. I could have knelt down and kissed the ground of the place that was my home. I could have climbed up the statue in town square, swung my arms around it and hugged it like one would to their beloved grandfather. Instead I crept into one of the nearby alleys and dipped my hand into one of the dumpsters, praying it may contain something, anything, edible. Instead I felt a worn leather shoe, two bananna peals, and the beard of a homeless man with a highly questionable home. Still hungry, I moved forward. The sun arose over a practically ancient apartment building, telling me enemy soldiers were probably awaking, planning attack on the streets that I adored enough to risk life for. Finally the safe-house was feet away from me. I stopped in my tracks, looking at the broken windows and crumpled roof that had obviously been burned most mercilessly. At least it still remained in one piece, they must have given up after not finding anyone but me. Thank heavens, for otherwise I would not be able to relocate the tunnel, which I did. After taking a few stale muffins from the pantry, I took a breath as if it would be my last and started into the tunnel.

Lance thought a moment, considering what to tell the boy. “Johnny can read minds.” Was the best thing he could come up with. “And because you and I have a relationship they want to know that you are a fair person.” He smiled and patted him. “And What of us is there to know?” He shrugged there really was not that much to know about the boys.

He stalked around the grounds. Something about that girl had not seemed right, it seemed mysterious. He was tempted to go back, but kne better. Then he would lose the scent. Which had not been found. He stomped on the ground all over the area, hoping to find a hole in the ground or something. A hollow spot.
Franky growled. "Um, guys?" He pointed to the ceiling.

"A fair person. I wonder what they might have done were I not satisfactory." Mallory murmurs a bit drowsily. Now that he is not currently running and is actually comfortable, he has begun falling asleep. His eyes drift shut, then he opens them quickly, not wanting to be asleep. But they are closed again and he is lightly dozing by the time Franky points upward.
