James smiled and then looked back at Hagrid this time finally listening to what he was a bout to say.
Hagrid grinned as he turned his back and walked out of the cabin. A bunch of students filed behind him. He walked into the forbidden forest but wasnt walking for long since they came upon a cave. "Finally, after a lot of begging to dumbledore, I have convinced him how educational this would be." He said beaming to the rest of the students. "In this cave is a newborn dragon that hatched in my hut. She's a hungarian horntail and a bright one at that.I took it apon myself to get dumbledore to let me show her to all of you. Would anyone like to step up and meet her? I still havnt thought of a name, so ill let you all think of one while yer meeting her." As he said that many of the students stepped back from the cave in fear of what was inside.
James looked at Alyssa and smiled. "we should go up there and meet her. It doesnt look like any of our brave peers will be up to it." he whispered glancing back at the others and then at the cave.

Alyssa listened to Hagrid as he talked about the Dragon. But instead of stepping back when most students did she stayed put with a smile on her face. Alyssa loved Dragons. Nodding at Jame's question she took a step forward. "Yeah! Let's go." She said, the grin on her face brightening up. Taking another step forward she glanced at Hagrid. "We'd like to meet her. Are we allowed to go in together?" She asked, and grabbed James hand to show Hagrid who she was talking about.

Hagrid was happy to see two of his favorite students stepping forward. " I knew you to'd be the ones to step forward. Well go right ahead in. You will know if she doesnt like you." Hagrid said to them assuming they would have enough common sense to run if the dragon attacked back.
James blushed a bit when Alyssa grabbed his hand but he knew it was just a gesture to show hagrid who she means. He stepped forward with her and walked into the cave with her, Hagrid shuffling behind them. "I cant wait to see this dragon!" He said lighting his wand with lumos. The main reason he wanted to see it was because his brother had a dragon and James was trying to follow in his brothers footsteps....Well old footsteps anyway.

Alyssa grinned and took a step into the cave with James. She was glad that Hagrid took them to see the Dragon. The girl loved Dragons, she thought they were the coolest creatures. "I know! I can't wait either." Alyssa said grinning some more. Realizing the she hadn't let go of James hand just yeat, a small blush apeared on her cheeks. She was kind of glad they were in the dark. When James began to spill out with light, Alyssa shook her head. Why had she thought of that? Shrugging to herself she just kept walking forward. When she could see the head of the Dragon Alyssa let go of James hand, and stepped a little closer. "Hey girl." She whispered to the Dragon. The beautiful creature snorted once, but after a minute it made it's way over to Alyssa and nuzzled her neck. Letting out a giggle, the blonde girl smiled. "I think she likes me." She said excitedly.

James smiled. "Yeah its safe to say that." He said to alyssa taking a step towards the two. He held his hand out to the dragon to see if she would like him to. The dragon put her head under james hand and then nuzzled Alyssa some more. James figured that meant she liked him so he walked over to the dragon and put his hand on her spiny neck.

Alyssa laughed lightly at what James said, and only nodded. She looked as James held his hand out to the dragon, and it like she liked him too. That was good. Grinning softly, she pet the dragon some more as it continued to nuzzle her. Letting out a few giggles, she pet the dragon a little more. "It's so nice.." She said after a while, she was actually kind of suprised as to how nice the dragon was to her.

"Are you two alright?" Hagrid shouted from outside of the cave. He was to big to fit in the small cave entrance so he just waited outside.
"Yeah proffesur. The dragon actually likes us. Alot surprisingly. " then James looked at Ayssa and said." arent hungarian horntails usually aggressive dragons? What makes us so special?" he was very confused as to why the dragon liked him but he wasnt complaining. He really liked the dragon.

Alyssa turned her head when she heard Hagrid asking if they were okay. Smiling softly she laughed. "Yep, we're all good/" She grinned and then turned back to the dragon petting it some more. She cocked her head to the side, while listening to what James said. He was right. They were usually aggresive. "They are, which is really confusing me. But hey, I don't mind." The blonde haired girl let out a small laugh once more. Turning her attention to James, she pet the dragon once more before speaking. "Do you think we should get going? We don't want everyone else to worry about us." She said doing her best not to laugh, it wasn't like anyone else really cared except Hagrid. But she did figure they should get going, just in case there was something more to the lesson.

Mina sighed as Ms Sprout handed each first year a pair of pruning shears and pushed them towards the simplest flowers in the bunch. Just regular everyday petunias. Also looked at Issy for no other reason but to see what the girl's approach was. She then looked at the small flowers in front of her and studied each stem carefully before taking the pruning shears and snipping it off at an appropriate place to ensure growth. She then felt her nose twitch and itch slightly and tried to rob it with her sleeve only to make it worse. A soft sneeze came out of her, followed by several others. "Pollen... Great... Why do I have to... Be allergic... To pollen..." She said in between sneezes before she looked at the plant again, its small blooms still teasing her sinuses. She growled and cut off another wilting blossom before setting down her shears and staring at the blurred room. "Well... It's the first day."

James kneeled down and smiled at the dragon. "We'll come visit you some other time. Dont worry." Then he stood up and looked at Alyssa. "Yeah lets get out of here. This class is probably almost over anyway. " He smiled at Alyssa and turned around to walk towards the cave entrance. He started to think about when Alyssa held his hand. He knew he shouldnt be thinking about this and he tried his best not to but he couldnt help it. James blushed a little just at the thought.

Alyssa gave the dragon a quick hug. It's mood suddenly changed from being happy to a little sad. Frowning slightly the blonde girl bit her lower lip slightly. "We'll be back. I promise." She whispered, giving it a small pat on the head. Backing up she glanced over at James and a very small blush began to appear on her cheeks. Turning her head away, she walked towards the entrance of the cave and then stepped outside into the light, glad that she was finally out of the dark.

James stomach let out a loud growl. "Jeese Im already starving and its only been the first our of this. Maybe im more cut out for the resistance style then this."He joked to Alyssa as a loud bell rang signaling for all the students to proceed to their next class. "I really want to skip this class. I hate potions so much." he was trying to bring up conversations so it would be auwkward around her at all.

A slight giggle escaped Alyssa's lips when she heard James stomach growl. Covering her mouth with her hand she contiued to laugh quietly. Her eyes found James and shook her head after a moment. The blonde girl was rather unsure of why she was laughing so hard. When the bell rang the girl started making her way back to the school, her eyes in front of her. Hearing James, she stopped and turned to face him. "Normally, I'd force you to go to class. But I'll be nice, and we can both skip if you'd like. Maybe stop at the lake or something?" She suggested with a small shrug.

James smiled. "That is an extremly good idea. Im sure Slughorn will get over our absences. Lets go to hogsmeade first and get something to eat. Im starving!" He said grabbing her hand as he began to speed up to a slow run. "If we hurry and finish eating we can cram more fun into our potion skip our."he said looking back at her with a smile trying to explain why he was running.

Erkamina sighed as the hour ended and released her from her sniffley suffering. She walked silently towards her next class, Defense Against the Dark Arts. She nearly skipped as this was what she wanted to learn the most about seeing as she wanted to be as strong as her mother one day. She took a deep breath and trudged up to the castle, through the halls, and up to the Defense room. A swift survey of her surroundings told her she was a bit early, the only ones being present were herself and the professor that had his back turned to her.
((Which year is this based off of? The reason I ask is each year had a different teacher for DADA.))
