"Yeah, that would probably be for the best. Would you like to show me your room or something?" Sirius asked reflectively, plucking Ivana from the carpet and beginning to stand up.

Marketa felt herself wince as she metaphorically shrank down to about two inches tall. She felt sick inside; she had never been ashamed of her living situation until she met Skoba, who had been so rich and well off before. But she smiled anyway. "Oookay!" Toying with the charm Skoba had given her, she walked the meager five steps to the second bed in the single bedroom and sat down, gesturing weakly as if to say 'well...here we are.' Her face grew almost unbearably hot as she avoided Skoba's eye. How strange she must be, to share a bedroom with her parents.

"Asking," Wendy said. "I've just discovered a fun way to start a not-boring conversation, and I'm revelling in my victory." She smiled, waiting for his answer. Then something moved in her peripheral vision and she smiled when she turned her head to see Loxley poking around under her bed. She scooped him up and began stroking him while he again struggled for freedom.

Remus laughed both at Loxley's attempts at freedom and at Wendy's enthusiasm. "Alright, my second-best day would have to be....my fifth birthday," he said with a nod, offering no further explanation. "You?"

Wendy laughed. "Don't you remember? That's today!" she said with a toothy grin.

Remus snorted. "Right, sorry; third best?" he asked, actually wanting her to think about it this time.

Wendy giggled, then thought about her third-best day. It didn't take her long, though: "The time Dad took me and the boys to the Quidditch World Cup. England was playing Italy. That was back when we had a good team." She laughed nostalgically. "You should've heard the boys. It was a close game, so they were a bit uptight."

Remus straightened up suddenly, the recollection of hearing James and Sirius ranting about how England had deserved to win against "those bloody whops". "I think James and Sirius went to that match," he recalled with a smile.

((Which plot-twisting? Of Justice? =O))
Wendy furrowed her brow as she spent a moment reliving the experience, then a peculiar grin pulled up the corners of her mouth. "You know, I think you're right."

((I accidentally changed around the Prochazkova's living arrangements))
Remus's lips twitched slightly as he fought not to laugh. "It would be difficult to forget, since they wrote a song about how if they ever wanted to be incredibly racist, all they had to do was let out the air in one tire of a Muggle automobile and drive through an Italian neighborhood."

Wendy rolled over onto her back so she could hug her stomach and laugh. "Yes, yes, yes! The next week at school Finny was singing it and he wouldn't explain it to me!" she remembered, laughing and looking up at the now-upside-down Remus from her new position on the floor.

Remus grinned at Wendy's enthusiasm, never seeming to tire of her zest for life. He slithered down onto his stomach until his head was directly above her upside-down one, resting on his arms. "I wish I'd met you sooner than this, Wendy," he said, having an oddly tender moment out of nowhere as he ducked his head down and tentatively kissed her, having never kissed anyone upside-down before.
