Alwyn grabbed her own key. "Im ready" She said with a smile following along behind Maria. "I wonder whats for breakfast" she said out loud thinking. Normally Alwyn wasn't one for breakfast but perhaps she could stomach it this morning , maybe if there were waffles with whipped cream and strawberries.

Aki, not paying attention as usual, stumbled in an attempt to not step on a lizard. "My god, is the world being overrun by those things?" she murmured, picking it up by the tail. It promptly twisted and latched onto her finger, drawing a glare. "Stupid lizards..." she muttered, flicking it off and ignoring the beady-eyed stares following her.

She kept going, following the trickle of students to the cafeteria. She could practically feel the heat seeping into her body, pulling any moisture and cold out and away from her. She pulled the cold closer, creating a second skin of a layer of freezing air. At least it helped some, even if it was a bit of a fight to keep it cold enough with the humidity and heat. This was going to be a fun day.

Aki brushed past someone(Tess), preoccupied with visions of world-dominating geckos. "Watch it." she muttered, almost snapping. It was her usual "sorry I ran into you" response. She glanced over to see who it was before looking back sharply. A, werewolf? Wait, mutations, not mythical creatures. Gotta suck for him though. she thought, starting to go past.

Striding into the cafeteria, Huilliame looked around and saw Aki. He walked over in a muted set of colours closer to flesh before flipping into an ice blue.
"Morning pretty madamoiselle. You got your class schedule sorted yet?"

Aki looked up, snapped from her thoughts and oblivion to everything else. She realized what he asked after a second and nodded. "Hm? Oh, pretty much. You?" she asked, remembering their lack of team names as she saw him. We really do need to get one... Oh well, we'll figure it out. she thought.

Sergey let out a groan as he heard the door click shut and he raised his head noting the absence of his room mate and the cat. He sat up and reached up and ruffled his hair feathers. He got out of bed. He didn't even remember going to bed and he hadn't changed out his clothes from the previous day. He undressed, leaving his clothes in a trail behind him as he went to the bathroom to 'take care of business' and take a shower. The one positive thing about his having feathers, was that he never had to shave, he had no body hair due to the feathers so he in essence had the perfect body of any male and female. He left the bathroom after brushing his teeth and picking up his clothing while he went to shove it in a little hamper. He dressed in his usual attire of a white tank top and khaki shorts. He wished he could wear pants, but his legs disallowed the garments. It was warm here anyway, but it had been hell back in Russia during the winter. He grabbed his key and thrust it into his pocket before heading out the door and trotting down the hallway to carefully tread down the stairs slinging his backpack over his shoulder.

Arkell yawned and stretched blinking a bit before getting up. She had managed to change before falling down into her bed asleep. She went and brushed her teeth and changed her clothes. She looked at the shower detestably and ignored it grabbing her backpack and key before running out the door and outside excitedly. Today was the first day of classes! She looked out and saw Tess and ran over to him. "Bane! Hey! Wait up!" she smiled brightly at him.

((Ooc: I LOOOOOOOOOVE waffles with strawberries and whipped cream… *DROOLS*))

Marie exited the door and continued down to the main entrance doors in time to see Sergey. She bounced up and looped her arm around his, playfully. “Good morning, Sergey. I hope you slept well,” Marie spoke controlled, and yet politely as she unlinked her arm and turned her head towards Alwyn. “This is my roommate Alwyn.”

“We’re heading to breakfast right now. You going too?”

((Marie and Lite have the same Calculus class Matt does. Sweet!))

Matthew arrived at the cafeteria, quickly heading to the buffet line. He couldn't eat much in the morning (lest he feel sick later), but he did need some sustinence. He grabbed a banana, a glass of orange juice, and a bagel before turning to find a seat. As he walked to the seating, he scanned the crowd for his team. His eyes first fell upon Candice, so he decided to head over.

Coming to her table, he asked, "Hey, Candice, mind if I eat with you?"

A large smile lit across his face as he saw Marie. He smiled wider as she linked her arm through his. "Good morning," he replied in his thick russian accent, "yes, I slept vell. How about you?" he frowned when she removed her arm from the crevice he had provided. Sergey looked to where she motioned her room mate to be and saw nothing. He looked back to her and raised a hairless brow at her. "Vhere is she?" he asked skeptically. He offered her his arm again, as he had enjoyed the skin contact. He continued to look around for her room mate.

Candice looked up and smiled. "Of course I don't mind, you're my team mate." She said scooting over to make room for him. She grabbed her tray and and scooted it as well. "Too bad we're in different grades, It would be fun to have classes with you Matt." She smiled slightly. "You're my friend, right?" She said with a questionable look on her face.

Tess hadn't quite paid attention while walking, and then someone bumped into him, telling him to 'watch it'. He'd been about to growl out a response, when someone else began talking to that girl, and then Arkell was calling for him to wait up. With a yawn to brush off his heavy annoyance with whomever bumped into him, he paused to wait for the fire-wielder, giving a doggish grin at her smile. "Hey." he greeted with a grunt, trying not to look as pleased to see her as he was.

They were surrounded by people potentially able to use his happiness at seeing Arkell against him... Not that they would, but he had some form of reputation to keep.

Logan had spied Marie on his walk to the cafeteria, but he was with a strange and intimidating looking guy that Logan vaguely recalled seeing the day before. And then he spied Tess and Arkell, and he frowned, distracting himself by watching where his feet were stepping as he carefully avoided people as much as he possibly could while going to the building everyone was headed to. For some odd reason, he was a little frustrated at himself, but he couldn't quite tell for what.

As soon as Logan neared the cafeteria, he rubbed at his temples. It had been a similar sensation of a nearing headache, or worsening headache, as in the Auditorium for the Student Meeting the day before. He had the pain killers the nurse had told him to take when he had a headache, though. He planned on taking one with breakfast so he wouldn't be distracted by a headache all day during classes.

Opening the door, he headed into the cafeteria and went to get a simple bowl of fresh oatmeal, some toast and an over-easy egg. Fortunately enough, they served hot tea in the morning, so he got some of that while adding some brown sugar and raisins to his oat meal. Not feeling up to sitting outside, he went to one of a few empty tables away from where the groups of students were gathering and sat down, sighing heavily.

Arkell caught up and grinned widely at him. "Woo! It's so nice out, isn't it? Makes yah wana take off and run." She reached down instinctively and scruffed his hair. They had had a dog at home before she came here, so it was second nature for her to want to pet him (aside from the fact that he was just plain fuzzy). She tried her best not to group him with the family dog since he was in fact a person, who she knew was rough around the edges but could be very nice. So far she was doing a pretty good job, she hadn't baby talked him once.

She bumped her hip into him lightly and then started walking away towards the cafeteria, her eyes sparkling with laughter and light mischeviousness. It faded away though as her big grin slowly downplayed to a contented smile instead. She looked down at him and gave a slightly cough before asking, "Would you like to...sit with me for breakfast?" she said innocently looking off in the opposite direction as she spoke.

Marie smiled happily to her roommate, Alwyn. “Alwyn, this is one of our dorm mates, Sergey. He and his roommate Mal are pretty nice fellows.”

“Now! Off to discover deliciousness! We have a bag day ahead of us!” Marie stated, going out the doors. “What classes do you two have? I have:

My 8th period study hall I’m going to make myself available for Spanish tutoring. For the low, low payment of a cookie or sweet of some sort,” Marie laughed softly.

Waiting in line for his food, Mal cast glances around the cafeteria. He could see a few faces he'd seen the night before amid the crowd, but he didn't really recognize anyone he knew. Sighing to himself, he stepped forward with the line. He really needed to meet more people. He was in a crowd of unfamiliar faces in an unfamiliar place. Back home, he was mostly fine since he knew his way around everywhere and knew how to not be seen. But back then, he didn't want to be seen. Now, it wasn't such a big deal.
The line moved forward again and he was able to grab a tray and silverware. He waited for another moment and the line continued, allowing him to start the actual food-getting process. A rather large woman wearing a hairnet looked at him as though she was bored out of her mind.
"What can I get 'cha?" she asked. Mal thought a moment.
"What do you have?" he replied. She laughed a little and shook her head.
"New kid?" Mal nodded. "Figures," she said. "Notice how we don't have menus? Pick something." Mal thought for a second. Out of all the food in the world, what would he have?
"May I have biscuits and gravy?" he asked. Seeing a question raising on the woman's lip, he added, "Buttermilk biscuits and beef gravy." The woman smiled at him and nodded.
"You're gettin' the hang of this," she muttered. In a minute, the plate of food was on his tray and the large woman was waving goodbye to him very sarcastically.
Grabbing a glass of chocolate milk, he stood in front of all the tables. He really didn't know anyone. Silently preferring to sit alone rather than barge in on someone's conversation to introduce himself, he opted for an unoccupied table in the corner of the room. Sitting down, he dug into his delicious biscuits and gravy.
