District 9, finally saw it. Great movie, though the protagonist is a miserable puke that I couldn't bring myself to like one iota.

Great movie, though the protagonist is a miserable puke that I couldn't bring myself to like one iota. well, protagonist is definitely anti-heroic, but film is great... and puts a big question mark on the humanitarian missions in the various corners of the world.

An to me, that's what sold me the movie.
He's just an average guy trying to get by. There's nothing that's inherintly good in him. (Apart from the end I guess.)

Well, I really hated him when they came across that nursery and he gleefully explained to his new colleague and the camera man that the popping sound was an unborn alien dying.
But other than that, the documentary style interviews, the scheming Nigerians and the Afrikaans speaking mercenaries really are done perfectly.
