Shana nodded. "Once or twice before, not very often." She said. The darkening sky didn't bother her, but she could feel August was tense. She stroked his neck as he trotted to calm him down.
August snorted again. "Easier said than done." He responded quietly. His ear twitched back towards Shana a bit upon feeling her touch and he relaxed a bit with her reassuring.

"We used to go on them all the time." Emma smiled remembering the multiple times she had nearly gotten lost from riding in the dark. "I used to sneak into the barn and take Rose out in the middle of the night. She's better behaved at night sometimes then during the day."
Rose laughed and gently rubbed his shoulder. "Nothing's going to pop out and get you." She kept a steady distance from the fence, ears perked forward. "It's fun to run in the dark."

"Canter Light Canter" said Mikuru quietly. Light swished his tail and pawed the ground. Then after a few tries Light cantered graceful cirlces around Mikuru.

"Hm." Shana responded. "That's how I used to occassionally get out with August was to sneak in at night. It's hard though, Dad keeps a close eye on the barn most of the time." She said with a laugh.
August pricked his ears forward slightly. "...ok, if you say so." He sighed. "Really?" He asked, his ears coming forward a bit more.

"It used to be the only time I ever got to ride her. Everyone thought she was too dangerous for anyone but a professional to ride." Emma leaned forward in the saddle and wrapped her arms around the mare's neck. "But we proved them wrong, majorly." She chuckled and sat back up.
"Yeah." Rose nickered as Emma hugged her. Stopping she looked back at Emma waiting.
Emma hopped out of the saddle, laughing. Quickly she losened the girth and slid the saddle and then the bridle off the mare. Laying them outside the arena, she used the fence to mount Rose. They caught back up to August and Shana, Emma's hands tangled in the mare's mane. "She prefers to run without tack at night."
Rose neighed and nipped lightly at August. "Come on, let's run." with that she broke into a full out canter.

"Light walk" said Mikuru. Light walked. Then she smiled and woahed Light and then he halted. Mikuru slowly patted the stallion and then mounted him and then slowly patted the stallion and then walked him around the round pen. Then she walked him inside the dressage ring and walked him on the other side of the ring and circled the stallion at the walk. Mikuru smiled at Shana and Emma.

Shana giggled and halted er horse and she too slipped off August's back and removed the saddle and bridle. But instead of mounting him using the fence, she smiled mischeviously and using her dressage whip taped his forelegs while snapping towads the ground. "Watch this." She laughed out to Emma.
August snorted, pricking his ears foreward and folded his forelegs beneath him and lay down, looking at Shana expectantly.
Shana swung her leg over him and sat down on his back, weaving her fingers through his mane an squeezed his sides, dropping her dressage whip.
August thrust his forelegs back out and pushed himself into a sitting-up position before heaving himself back onto his feet. He tossed his head, earsback towards Shana.
Shana smiled and patted his neck before urging him to canter with Rose and Emma as they passed them. By using her seat and leg position, she was able to keep him collected and relaxed. She smiled as they fell into pace beside Emma and Rose. She looked over at Mikuru and Light. "How's he doing?" She asked her.
August tossed his head and snorted loudly, he didn't like the other stallion being in the ring, but he delt with it...he wasn't doing anything to make him mad anyway...

"Really good seems like he's been trained already" said Mikuru while patting Light on the neck and then trotted the stallion, Mikuru posting up and down and then walking around the ring.

"That's so cool Shana." Emma smiled keeping her hands tangled in Rose's mane. She let Rose take over, smiply keeping her balance.
Rose tossed her head, picking up her feet higher then needed. "Lighten up. It's not like he's bugging you."

Shana smiled. "Yeah he seems to be doing really well." She responded to Mikuru, then turned back to Emma and laughed. "Thanks. He gets a kick out of it too." She said, patting August's neck.
August snorted loudly and smiled slightly. "For now." He responded, then nipped at her neck lightly and lengthend his stride, pulling ahead of her and nickered, laughing.

"You think we could teach that to Rose?" Emma hugged the mare as she picked up her pace to catch up with August.
"Hey wait up come back here." Rose giggled and picked up her pace, taking two strides for his one.

Shana laughed again and nodded. "Of course! It's all about the treats, at first." She winked, then faced forward again and leaned against her stallion's neck.
August grinned mischeviously and lengthened his stride all the more, speeding up his pace slightly. "Nope!" He responded.

"That'll get her going. She loves treats." Emma clucked to Rose and tightened her grip. "Come on girl pick it up."
Rose snorted, and without waiting for Emma to cue her she dashed forward. She nipped August on the flank as soon as she was close enough. "I can keep up with you. Your not that fast."
