Amaya remained silent, sucking on the top of the water bottle as she watched the top of the table like it was the most interesting thing in the world. Poor Julian... she wanted to help, but knew their was nothing she could do.

Julian made a funny choking sound, covering his face with both hands....
Then all at once, he dropped his hands away, the grin on his face suddenly accompanied by a sly, purring voice.
"...I apologize for that. You really didn't need to see such a fuss...."

The bottle Amaya was sucking on caved in at her sudden, quick intake of the air inside. She coughed and set the bottle down, fidgeting with it a little bit. "So uh... your Julian's other half?" Green eyes looked up timidly. God, that grin was creepy.

He flicked his tail, green eyes sparkling.
"...Of sorts, yes...please, don't be afraid, my dear chimney sweep." He bowed his head in a tiny elegant way...or a creepy way. Either one.
"...The Cheshire Cat, at your humble service."

"Chimney sweep...?" Amaya blinked and raised a brow, not really scared just... weirded out. She knew the cheshire cat was from Alice In Wonderland, but she had never read the book or even seen the Disney movie. Why would Julian develop a split-personality that was the cheshire cat, though? Was it because he was turning into a cat? "Where's Julian?" She knew it wasn't good to feed his split-personality... but what else could she do? Her voice was worried, wondering if 'Julian' was blacked out somewhere in the back of his mind or aware of what was going on at all.

He straightened up again, hair flopping awkwardly about his face.
"Yes...the chimney sweep, dear. You are the chimney sweep...."
He blinked in response to her question, licking his claws once before speaking.
"Oh, the poor man is resting. Not to worry...he will be just fine. He's not been feeling well, you see...a bit on edge...."

"Yeah, I noticed." She frowned and would have added 'though that seemed to mostly be your fault', but didn't for fear of what this 'Cheshire Cat' might do. Julian wasn't that bad of a guy. Shy and nervous, but not mean or anything. It was all his other personalities that worried her, one being this one and who knew how many more he might've had.
"So uh... who's the chimney sweep exactly?" Amaya looked at him, kind of hopeing someone would stumble in so she would have someone else to share the awkwardness with.

Cheshire thought for a long moment...before pulling the trusty book from his waistband, opening it to the passage about Bill the lizard.
"...Here."

Amaya blinked and took the book, reading the passage about Bill the Lizard. Lizard? Ugh. She didn't like Cheshire and wanted Julian back, being reminded of what she was becoming rather annoying. Letting out a sigh, she handed it back. "So uh... does Julian have any... others living... with him?" She couldn't really think of how to word it besides saying 'does he have any other voices in his head'.

"Of course," he purred, tucking the book away again.
"But none of them are strong enough to come out, you see. I keep them away."

Emewyn had to go to the cafeteria. She couldn't deny that she was hungry any longer. She'd gone almost the entire day without eating and was getting afraid that that was making her more sick than eating anything would. She walked in, pale-faced, hungry, and tired, and looked around before grabbing her usual salad. She saw Amaya talking with a man she hadn't yet met. Amaya looked more than a little uncomfortable. Emerwyn took her salad over to them and spoke a quiet greeting before sitting down. "I'm not intruding, am I?"

"Really?" Amaya winced, wondering how many he had. Poor guy was probably constantly begin nagged by them. No wonder he was so nervous and shy all the time, afraid everyone would think he was insane... which he was, but it wasn't his fault.
Green gaze then turned to Emerwyn and she smiled, shaking her head. "Hiya Emerwyn and no, your not interupting anything. This is... uh... The Cheshire Cat." She'd have to explain later, not really knowing if declaring Julian mad would set his other self off or not.

He grinned over to the newcomer, giving her the usual sly grin.
"...Pleased to meet you, my dear." A little bow of the head - his tail flicked a bit, and he tapped his claws on the table.

Emerwyn immeadiately became as uncomfortable as Amaya looked. The Cheshire Cat?? However, she had already gone over there; she couldn't just walk (or run) away. She sat down next to Amaya. "Um, it's a pleasure to meet you, too, I'm sure." Emerwyn tried to smile, but this man was a little disturbing. She had to be open, though. This was a strange place she found herself in. "The Cheshire Cat? That's from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, isn't it?" Emerwyn was well-versed in fantasy stories, for the older and younger groups. And this one fit into both catagories.

The young girl sighed inwardly, wanting desperatly to just shake Julian and yell for him to come back out. He was so much easier to talk to, wasn't nearly as creepy, and was an actual person... not some fictional character from a book. She looked down at her hands in her lap, a sad look on her face for the fact she didn't know what to do or how to get Julian back.
Amaya leaned back in her chair and put her gloved hand over her mouth, looking deep in thought as she stared at the table. She wasn't trying to be rude and leave Emerwyn with the task of dealing with Julian's alter-ego, she was trying to think of a way to get them both out of this mess and hopefully get to know the REAL Julian.
