Lauren huffed a bit, "Where have you been? No one knows, we're all surviving on what we can hunt down, what we can make and find." She lifted up her stone knife as if that explained it all.
"As far as I know, they are all dead. Moreau included." Lauren was still talking very coldly, afraid to pull the thought to the surface of her brain. She couldn't deal with that right now. She looked down, running the edge of her knife over her thumb to make a very small cut.

Emerwyn whispered, hardly even audible. "I was... in Wonderland."
"Moreau... dead?" The cause, the beginning of all her present torments. Everything, even the Cat, it all went back to Moreau. Just like that, this devil, this sad, deranged man.... could be dead?
Somehow, she couldn't believe that. She shook her head slowly. "I-I don't think so. Something tells me a man like Moreau... No, he's alive."
This was hardly a reasurrance to Emerwyn; Moreau was the only person Emerwyn may have loathed enough to wish death upon.

Her ears perked at the whisper but didn't catch anything coherent. Lauren woke up from the cold place in her mind, turning to Emerwyn. "You... you think he is alive?" A sad sound of hope filled her voice. "Well... but he wouldn't... he wouldn't let this happen." She couldn't believe that, he was there to take care of her not to leave her worse than she was before.
Well, in some ways it was worse but in others it wasn't so bad. The people around weren't as dangerous, although she hadn't met the person Emerwyn had met.

The beach finally came in to view through the canopy of trees and colche gave a sigh of releif as the sand finally slipped between her toes. She took a deep, cleansing breath and collapsed in the sand with a heavy flump before inspecting her leg. It wasn't too bad, she'd had worse in the past. She stopped herself from leaning down and cleaning the wound with her tongue, it disgusted even her to lick her own blood away. She frowned and looked for lily, maybe she would have a better idea of how to clean the sore spot. Her gaze left herwound for a moment and she gazed out at the sea, the sea was such a calming influence on ehr she loved it. A gentel puurr finally echoed in her chest though she still quietly morned for the piglett she had killed. What if she tried to kill soemthing else? How much more trouble would she cause?((wanna transfere to the beach now?? sorry I didn't reply yeasturday I'm so ditzed of late >_

He wouldn't let this happen? That sick, sadistic b*****d... Emerwyn could see his smug face laughing at their torment. But of course, Lauren trusted Moreau... Why, Emerwyn may never know.
So, she chose to hold her tongue. Her eyes did not hide her feelings, however. Emerwyn chose something wiser to say. "Maybe, maybe things got... out of hand." Her words were yet detached. She was beginning to lose track of her thoughts again. Millions of eyes watched her from behind.

Lauren just rolled her eyes, "Yeah your telling ME things got out of hand!" Her stomach growled. "Who ever did this, is going to get it right in the gut." She held her knife as if it could solve all problems. Of course, she would never really cut someone but she liked to pretend that she had the gull to do so. And if this person did kill Moreau, she would definately be out for blood.
Lauren's belly grumbled as she put her stomach over it. Her frame was already starting to loose the little muscle and fat that she gained while she was here. Lauren was very much on her way of looking like the scrawny ally cat that came upon this island a few months ago. The weight gain didn't last long with her high metabolism.

"...hungry?"
Emerwyn was getting nervous about Lauren's violent mood.
Emerwyn thought hard - she couldn't decide if her body needed nutrient at the moment. She couldn't even remember the last time she ate. But, as far as she knew, Julian had found some way to feed her... She put her hand slowly to her lips. All of a sudden, the traces of something foreign was on them... Something touched them that shouldn't have...
"I think... I would like some mangos."

Lauren raised an eyebrow at Emerwyn. She finally sensed that the woman wasn't entirely here. Took her awhile on that one.
"Ur... yeah right... maaangos." Lauren said slowly and sarcastically. "Gotcha right there, maybe you should go get some..." Was she really expecting Lauren to get her food?
It was like she was stuck there now, she couldn't just leave Emerwyn, the mongoose wasn't allowing her to. Even having a person who's mind was elsewhere seemed better than no one. She had tried to seperate from the group in order to get things finished but then Emerwyn came right out and trapped Lauren with akward socialisation.
Mongooses must still keep the crazy ones in their tunnel system. But Lauren wondered how.

But not only did Emerwyn have no intention of making Lauren go fruit-hunting for her, she also did not really want any mangos. She didn't even know why she'd said it. She hadn't eaten a mango in a long, long time... Had she ever really eaten a real mango?
"Do you know where the river is? I need to clean... light-headed." Some processing of Emerwyn's chopped up words may inform Lauren that the blood flowing from the deep, angry gashes on her hand and face were bleeding too much. She had to stop the blood flow, and clean the wounds...

A light finally clicked in Lauren's brain, how easily sidetracked she was anymore. Something she hadn't noticed as of yet was her attention span had seemed to shorten significantly. Of course it wasn't ever really long to begin with.
"OH! OH OH!! That's why your ******** up okay. I'll take you to the river" She took the rag of her head, it had stopped bleeding but it needed washed. "I'll wash this up, just ur, don't go insane."
Leading her back Lauren finally remembered her earlier assumptions, "Who did this? Was it Ian?" Her face looked very angry thinking that someone she thought to be Emerwyn's boyfriend would hurt her so badly. "That b*****d, I swear I could just beat s**t out of him if you're against the stabbing."

Emerwyn's eyes grew wide, and she coughed back a choke, if that's even possible... it was a strange sound. "I-Ian?! No....... no..... not - not Ian.... I - lost - Ian..." She didn't mention that she had been trying to lose him. Any talk of this might send her off, then she'd be delusional AND sick.
Lauren was so violent. It was unnerving, the worst kind of environment for Emerwyn to be in right now... well, besides being with Ian or......
She walked clumsily alongside Lauren. The trees were spinning around her head again. But her fear was dulled a little. As harsh as this young woman was, she served as protection, as, as a friend. A call back to reality. Being with Julian so long had made her lose her grip.

Lauren felt a little more relieved at the mention it wasn't Ian. Even though Emerwyn seemed to be falling apart at the seams that didn't seem to phase Lauren too much.
"Well, good. He didn't seem like the girlfriend beating type. So it's just some randomn a*****e. Emerwyn tell me who." She had deduced all the guys she knew on the island. The Dude had been busy, was not violent well but only once to Lauren but that was another story. As far as she knew Jamal had no connection to Emerwyn. Skunk boy was totally pathetic and harmless. Ambrose was too gallant to even hurt a fly, would even go out of his way to save said fly from a brutal death on the other side of the island. She just couldn't figure it out and didn't know anyone else.
Oh yeah and Chubbs, but he was up Jollie's a** most of the time...

Emerwyn's face flushed. Not from cute, shy embarassment, but from sheer dread. Girlfriend??? Oh dear God, no.
She once again, refrained from speech.
Emerwyn could not tell Lauren that Cheshire had hurt her. And she definately could not tell her that Julian had hurt her even worse. "I ... can't," she said lamely. At least Lauren's anticipated proddings would veer away from the subject of Ian... Ian and her.

Lauren pushed the subject just as Emerwyn expected. "You... can't? I'm pretty sure you can. You just don't want to. Too bad I don't know you well enough, could probably geuss."
Lauren wracked her memory still not hitting any where near to Julian.

Emerwyn danced around actually telling her, hoping to evade it at all.
Little did she know, each word she said probably only made matters worse.
"It-it wasn't only him... He was there, too. Only, of course, not at the same time..."
She was flustered. Being questioned in this state. Oh, how the mighty master of words had fallen!
"But, none of it would've happened... if not for Him." The stress on the word 'him' was changed bewtween subjects... There were two people involved...
