Blastiose continued his attack for a moment before suddenly dissappearing in his shell and doing a rapid spin and tackle combo directly at Bud. Feraligator twitched some from the shock but grolwed away the pain and bit down harder into a bone crushing bite on Bud. Devon continued to watch, trusting in the judgement of his pokemon.

"True, but a type advantage can help alter a battle, heck, that's how Christie and I choose pokemon most the time," He said, watching the battle waiting for Christie.

Bud jumped onto Feraligator's back and used the strongest thunder shock he could as Buddy did the same

"Yea, but if you have an evenly battled Squirtle vs. Charmander, the Squirtles gonna win. Kinda like in Halo when if you're just going against someone in a shoot-out, the one with more health will win," Ned shrugged. He looked to the woods and noticed Christie a distance away.

"not necessarily" Nali said "if you keep using water based moves only, the opponent could figure out your next move pretty accurately. it is actually so simple that a moron could figure out how to do it"

Feraligator spasmed some more and fell to its knees then turned angrily on Bud and used opened his mouth directly in front of Buds face and fired a Hydro Cannon into him. Blastiose used Iron Defense and shell combined to prevent the damage of the thunder shock but was unable to counter other than continue spinning.

Bud and Buddy ran back to stand in front of Felix. "just wait for them to make the next move" he said

"I know that much," Ned replied, "But I said evenly battled, like, no tactics used what-so-ever. Just all out, whoever drops first looses, Just as if you could only press a button, and that was the one attack you could use, and your pokemon couldn't move, then type matters."
"Ned!" Christie waved.
"What'd the boss want?" Ned asked.
"Just to check up on us," She said.
"But he said-" He started.
"At the end of the week, I know, but he said that he wanted to make sure we were actually 'working' and not just screwing around," Christie said.
"We did do work today!" Ned protested.
"I know, I told him." Christie said, watching the battle.

"well type still doesn't matter much in a true one on one battle." Nali said "and the reason Felix said if his poke' mon lose he'll eat a hat. he doesn't think that water could ever beat lightning when that has happened more times than can be counted"

Feraligator got up again, panting slightly but it grinned then roared and let out an earthquake attack at Bud and Buddy while Blastoise got next to Feraligator and did likewise, doubling the earthquakes power.

"right now it is about a tie" Nali replied as Sparky jumped onto her shoulder
"ok, jump and land on the opponents again" Felix said and the two obeyed "and use thunder wave this time" the two let out the waves, paralizing Blasttoise and Feraliogator

"Hey Sparky," Christie said absentmindedly to the pokemon, "I lost the last bet, so I better win this one or heads are gonna roll."
"Or I'll laugh at you, again," Ned replied with a grin. Christie hit his stomach, causing him to clutch it in pain.
"Shut up," She grumbled.
"Such violence!" Ned wheezed.
