To be burned? Hooray For Hollywood. Definitly. That was the most annoying song in the history of the world.

Oh. My. God.

I wanted to SHOOT that song.

We were given it the day before we were to have it memorized for some idiotic school pride thing.

Two people in the section knew parts and could fake the rest well.

The rest of us just taped the song to the back of the person in front of us.

People came up to me the day after and were all "OMG THAT WAS SO GOOD. YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME"... when we really all failed MISERABLY. biggrin

But there are many, MANY horrid songs that are worth of burning.

I'm quite sick of October, by Eric Whitacre.

Sappiest. Longest. Overdone song. biggrin

There are so many of those junior high level "overtures" that just need to die it's not even funny.

Same here. I also think that "Carol of the Bells" should be added. I play clarinet and every arrangement I've ever played has us doing that annoying repeated part. Da, da, da, dum, da, da, da, dum.

Hmm, what else? Washington and Lee, our fight song. I can't STAND that song. And any arrangement of Queen songs. I love Queen so much, and I hate hearing their songs played by Bands.

omg... we have this stupid song we play for parades called "American Fantasy" ... i want to burn that song so bad. its a stupid arrangment... even the guard instructor wants to burn it.... and he even said that.... ha...

i HATE the song Circus Bee. i had to transpose it to play it, AND THE WHOLE THING WAS OOM-PAS!!!!!! (as in rest-quarter-rest-quarter forever and ever) i was close to burning that song by the end of last year.

oh really? i love that when I played in this college class i took in middle school. it was fun! And i think that its unanimous that pomp and circumstance sucks. Actually, it was funny this year, cuz our drum instructor had to conduct for graduation, and totally messed up timing the ending, and we ended up ending in the middle of a phrase. we were all sitting there goin "wtf are you doin blaine?"
other than that, i hate "The Standard of St. George". that march sucks. and so does "Kachina Chant and Spirit Dance". can you say easy? plus our chime player was retarded and couldn't count to save his life
