"Because I am bound to it by blood, because I am the one to start the second war." His voice soft and kind again, with a slight hint of hesitation.

Smiling a little to himself, the elder feline seemed to get a somewhat devious glint in his glaring eyes. "Vell, zince you a'e zo vell-rested, you shoult haff no problems," he explained, his tone rather casual. "I vass thrust eento my own position vhen my fatha' died," he continued, "but I do not believe that anyvone voult haff missed Hector to begin vith," he said somewhat acidly. His usual restriction to 'three-words-a-day' seemed to be broken with this boy--after all, though they were different species of animals, they were still both half-humans.
"Rega'dless," he boomed, his massive voice hard to ignore, let alone take your attentions away from. "You unt I both have a problem vith vone o' the otha' zide in thees var... but togetha', pe'haps I coult act as a zo't of inzurance that you vill not be ova'thrown befo'e you kunn efolve as a leada'," he said rather enterprisingly. "Afta' all--ve a'e the clozest to humans in comparison to them--unt Hydizkals a'e encroachingk upon my land, vhile you haff your qvalms vith the Naturals. Pe'haps ve might zet azide vhat little difference ve might haff, vhile the vo'ld iss in tu'moil around us."
((I love Shadow--he's such a backhanded diplomat; silver-tongued and sly all in one.
As his Astrological profile said: "Welcome to my Parlor," said the Spider to the Fly.))

"I don't like how the naturals are so quick to try to start wars but my main problem is with werewolves, I don't trust them. Also you must remember I was thrust into my position as well when werewolves killed my father, the only difference was that my father was a great leader. I am not even half as good as he was." He explained to the feline.

Azzy the Great Quietly, it seemed that the young boy would concede to the facts--though he still seemed to have a certain fire within him that demanded he not be a tool for his father's plans. "Then I would die trying," he said, stark serious, as he drew in even closer to his mate and clung to him with as much passion as he could muster. "I wouldn't let him have his way--no matter the cost--you know I love you; why would I allow it?"
Alek sighed, and wiped the melancholy expression off of his face, smiling for his one and only, if only to try and make him happy. "Of course you wouldn't. I'm just beating the dead horse again." He kissed the other lightly on the cheek, turning all of his excess energy into morbid charm. "And I daresay that sometimes it's fun to watch it flop. 'Course though, it's not a fun as you. Not by far. A dead horse doesn't get me out of my house." He ruffled his hair a slight, continuing the jest even further, "And the dead horse isn't nearly so beautiful."

The large man seemed to consider the statement that the wolf made, and he nodded in confirmation. "I haff no problems thuss fa' vith the ve'evolfes," he explained, his thick accent at times impeding his speech. "But neutral iss a position off haza'd--eef they cross me zhe wrong vay, I coult easily zee myzelf allying vith my enemy'ss enemy." He actually produced a throaty chuckle; a rare occurrence in the cold, blasé individual. "O' you, eef you a'e villingk to aczept my offa'."
With a pleasant sort of laugh, the younger cat seemed to let the joke run. "Well, depending on what kind of horse it was, and how recently-dead..." he began, trailing off with a laugh. "You know, you tend to brighten up my dismal days in quite a similar manner--maybe not so extremely (I've heard about your home life), but call me optimistic on that note."

Alek smiled again, a mischevious twinkle in his eyes. "Oh, so I'm fun too, huh? Care to have fun of a different sort?" His raucus smile and twinkling eyes would have a lady swoon, but for the fact that he wasn't at all interested in women. No - only this red haired paragon in front of him.

Immediately, even towards the innuendo, the smaller boy felt a thick red blush creeping upon his cheeks. "W-Well... what did you... have in mind?" he stammered, his voice lowered in shyness and his expression suggesting that he would agree with it, whatever it was.

"Oh, a little bit of this, and maybe a little of that..." The other man said looked deep into those downcast eyes, fingers resting just under his chin. "Or, we could go exploring. You've seen my house, why can't I see yours? Surely your sister wouldn't tell on us, and niether would your brother...."

Clearing his throat rather nervously, the boy seemed to be plagued by that hot streak of blush, glancing back to his house when the offer came. "W-Well... I know Lionel wouldn't... and Kat's been rather nice to me, as of late..." he admitted. "Besides... I like the insurance of having walls around me, rather than... being out in the open like this."
((By the way, folks, those names were actually NOT intentionally cat-puns! I had those characters long before this roleplay, and it just happened to fall together that way! ^^;;; ))

"To your house then. Hell, I kinda want to meet these two that you keep talking about." Alek said and chuckled, rubbing under the other's chin in a way he knew Shiro liked. "I just hope your father has a horrible sense of smell, cause I smell like a wolf. Just thought I'd let you know..." He trailed off teasingly.

Purring uncontrollably when he was touched in such a way, the boy melted for only a moment, letting his guard down for the joke, but quickly realizing that it'd been an intentional, however playful, stab. "Oh, hah-hah," he said in protest, shaking himself out of the pleasant haze. "Well, Lionel I think you'll like, but Katalina says a few too many things that're just better-left unsaid..." he muttered, leading them both inside.

"If they attacked you or me, I would definately accept your offer, but for now there is no need." Ryoga said as he looked at the feline. "I am curious though, what were the chances of all the leaders of all the villages to come here?"
