max was staring into space. "yeah, i did that a little too good. im just glad i didnt have to see what it looked like from somebody elses point of view. now would you like to tell us what all that was about, or are you going to keep that to yourself?" he turned to look at strobe. there was something in his eyes that said 'i dont want to do that again'

Crow would have liked to shake Strobes hand, but unfortunately his hands were occupied, cradling the Ki orb that held a devastating amount of energy. The combination of Crow's Ki, Strobe's plasma, and the shoddy execution of the technique made the attack very unstable. He nodded to Strobe instead, then towards the others, excusing himself, then dashed off into the woods to find a remote and less inhabited place to release the energy. Crow didn't like the idea of such a large amount of power that could be easily tracked by the labs going off in a blast in their location.

That's never happened before, but I don't doubt that it could happen again." Strobe said as he looked down, disapointed in himself for putting his new friends... No, his new family in danger.

"uhh, hey crow? i think that energy orb would be best kept for a rainy day, if you kno wut i mean.." Kioko said sheepishly and took out an empty vial from her pouch...
"and strobe...its okay, its something you have to deal with right? i'm sure you'll figure it out.." Kioko said smiling at STrobe..

max walked over to a corner and layed down, his tail almost curling around him. he was shaking nervously, and it was very visible. he had an almost worried, more like terrified look on his face.

Strobe sat down on the opposite end of the room to contemplate his plan to break back into the lab and find any files that they might have kept on him. He made it a point not to sleep, though, for fear of another flamming episode.

He still sat there with Firefly, not really knowing what to do anymore.

Crow wasn't able to hear Kioko in the distance, probably for the best anyways, as the energy was half his own, and his Ki would not likely do well in storage. He ran for many miles, which didn't even take him a few minutes with his speed, then he stopped. It was a clearing out in a much deeper part of the woods, quite remote compared to their hideout, here he pushed his hands a bit farther back, his body wearing from trying to keep the energy contained for so long. He then threw his hands up towards the sky, wrists together and palms upwards, and out from the ball came a vicious stream of energy that literally lit up the night sky for miles around. The beam of fiery Ki expanded to nearly fifty feet in diameter, it let off small streams of flame from the central attack and quaked the earth beneath Crow's feet for miles. This is why he had to go so far away to unleash it, there was no way that this display would go unnoticed, at least here they would have the wrong location.

Kioko felt the Ki energy exploe from a distance...running outside, she saw the beam, it mustve been pretty big to be seen from that far away...
"holy cow!" Kioko said surprised

Strobe looked up and immediatly recognized a peculiar plasma flow, as if it was half fire and half pure-energy.
"Is that Crow's stored up energy ball?" He asked no one in particular.

max just layed there in the corner, scared. tears began rolling down his face. it seemed like he was losing his mind and no one cared.

"no, i dont know. first i want to kill all of you, then i go and snarl like that. i didnt even know how to do that, i was just going to show my teeth and scream, but that was beastly. im just so scared, im turning into a wild animal and i dont know what to do. im scared that ill never be normal again. im scared i might hurt one of you. im just scared." he sat there silently for a few minutes, staring off into space, and pulling himself together.

'I wonder if he would be interested...' Strobe thought to himself as he looked over at Max. 'Maybe he would. He seems like a guy that could be helpful.'
"Max," He said, "Walk with me." Strobe motioned over his shoulder as he walked out into the open night.
