Or maybe that I didn't give you a present because I want something in return, and that I just did it because I know it'd make you happy.

I'm sorry, baby. I just get so worried that I'm going to mess things up like I did with Nita. She told the time we spent together "wasn't worth talking about". I don't want to lose you like I lost her, by not doing enough...

Can we get less Deconstruction and more Post Modernism please? If I see any more angst, bowels will be disrupted.

That would imply that I should forget my past. That my past relationship with Ms. Pretiss should not have an impact on my current relationship with Ms. Danvers. Human beings are shaped by past events as you know, Mr. Jerusalem, and postmodernism, as interesting as an idea as it is, cannot be applied to this situation.

Being shaped by something and being a prisoner of it are two very different things and there's no reason to say that post modernism cannot be applied if you know how.

Man, I ain't got time to be analyzing myself and picking my life apart. I'm the Human Rocket! I have to keep moving, not worrying about "grand narrratives" and "knowledge and noise". I feel what I feel.

Sounds like you belong in one of those dark coffee houses, reading poetry and being applauded by pale folk wearin' black turtlenecks and glasses, snappin' deir fingers.

The telepaths here are especially critical. I think next year for Christmas I'll give Imra and Emma some mental floss.

I would actually prefer a gift making me no longer a mute. I mean it was a nice twist for the new reboot but I used to be able to talk! Ah well. Waid still rocks.
