The Haelstrom Fist Vintrict The only mistake people have been complaining about was when KB started whining that he didn't win, Vintrict, not even. Not even somewhat. Can you honestly say with a straight face the judging approach to KB's fight, while I agree that was heavily flawed mind you, has been the only problem this year?
I know you're busy and can't always monitor things the way you'd like, but for ******** sakes, you're more observant than that.Yes, I can, because KB bitches about everything. If one fire starts, another will spread from it. Because of that, people started to find little things about me to further make me look bad, a trick that happens a lot in social environments. Look, I can't explain it because this is all just :/ but just know that I'm doing the best I can, and don't ask for more from my staff. I just want to run a tournament and that's all I'm doing.

The Haelstrom Fist Vintrict, even if you didn't.. do that specifically, in a round about way the result was the same as if you had. People complaining about that system weren't just doing it for the shits and giggles, it just doesn't work.
One person's opinion over-ruling two regardless of the system therein will never work the way we'd like it to. And I mean never. That's why I said I'm changing it for this round and future rounds so that this time, majority votes win. Now can you let it go?

I'm offering people an alternative tournament to this one. It's an advertisement. It's okay if you don't get it, it's not an insult or anything like that. I just find that there's always room for a little Heston in any loud declaration.

Vintrict, KB never complained about losing, until I told him that he should have won, and then spent like three or four hours pretty much telling everyone how anything other than a 2/3 majority system was flawed and wrong. Rinse and repeat for like four days straight.
In fact, his only question was "Why are the scores so different?" I was the one pointing out that he should have won.
I also maintain my position that decisions should be made by the entire staff whenever possible, and never one person. And to that extent, you should actually have a STAFF DISCUSSION on MSN or something and decide what to do, especially in regards to Vansin, instead of just wantonly removing his power.

Vintrict Yes, I can, because KB bitches about everything. So every other person, including several that we all can pretty much agree have a level head with examples like Darth and Jello, telling you this doesn't work doesn't mean s**t because KB threw a fit about it?Quote: If one fire starts, another will spread from it. Because of that, people started to find little things about me to further make me look bad, a trick that happens a lot in social environments. ..No Vintrict, it's not some search for bad things you do, I'm being blunt because I have defended you before: you are doing really silly s**t this year, and it's gotten to a point that folks who would normally partake in your events and be part of a good time can't stand it anymore. Quote: Look, I can't explain it because this is all just :/ but just know that I'm doing the best I can, and don't ask for more from my staff. I just want to run a tournament and that's all I'm doing. I'm sorry, but anyone with sense will ask more of your staff. You're running your tournament, but this year, you've made some major mistakes while doing so, and rather than compensate for or simply apologize for them, you're swinging the ban hammer at anyone who pisses you off sufficiently and going "THIS IS HOW IT'S GONNA BE" without listening to reason other than your own.
We both know that won't lead to a good future for this tournament or anything related. Unless you're aiming for such a bleak outcome, but I do doubt that. A lot of people I talk to about you think you're a complete simpleton Vintrict, and I'm being honest - I can't get them to say a single thing positive about you no matter who I talk to in private.
Stubbornly refusing to see what's bothering the people in the deals you're running is probably a large piece of that. Is that so wrong to ask of staff?

And to that extent, you should actually have a STAFF DISCUSSION (HOLY s**t GAIZ) on MSN or something and decide what to do, especially in regards to Vansin, instead of just wantonly removing his power. We already do that stuff in the forum and we have on occasions done it on MSN. Don't worry, I at least got that front covered. But you can't deny that this all started to grow from that little thing. And no, KB was the one who argumented it after I gave him my reasons. And from then on, he was clearly mocking the way I judged. Seriously, I know what I did right or wrong. But the decision I made was completely honest. Right now, I'm like a guy who just walked back into his home with suddenly everyone angry at him.

i agree with vansin's power being revoked. i'd expect the same happening to me if people thought i was serious when i banned them and i changed the thread names and threw a car boot on the tournament.
so yeah.

So while all of this is great and everything, aren't fights scheduled to be closed now? Might as well not stop things entirely for those of us not planning to just drop it.

@Haelstrom: I hardly ban anyone. I haven't banned anyone in forever, really. I really had to enforce it this year. I gave people warnings. I told them to stop what they're doing so we can have an ordered tournament. I don't mind what comes up in OOC cause we all joke about things. But there are just sometimes when the line is stepped over and I, as a judge, have to make a decision.
I also have to admit, I really don't understand why a lot of people are angry at me. All I can understand is that I did something that someone didn't agree with it, and thus, suddenly, people hate the way I do things because of that. I tried explaining, but even that doesn't seem to make everyone happy.
So yes, I'm really confused right now and all I can do is sit here, and multi task between making this game and this thread.
So :/

I by and large have no problem with what happened to Vansin, because - as I said - I believed that he should have pursued more mature avenues of action, and that things probably could have went much more smoothly. Chances are, things also wouldn't have gone south so quickly.
Which, again, is why I advocate that the entire situation be reviewed to find where the problem(s) is, and then to try and fix them, instead of just going "EVERYTHING'S FINE" when people clearly do not agree with this conclusion, to such an extent that they no longer feel it feasible to stay around.
EDIT:: Though, to be fair, I'm still not entirely away of what "the" problem is, exactly, only that there's something that people are clearly not liking enough that they'd withdraw from the running.

hopefully, this judging time will be enough to let heads and blood cool, and let us really figure this out. i have my ideas but this shitstorm has caused enough damage for today and in public.
vin, you'll have to change the subforum title to "finished" or whatever, while i go buy eggs.
