Krausse Kreugar Personally, I think Vintrict is doing a pretty good job and we just b***h too much. Pretty much agree. I mean sure there's some things I personally don't agree with sure, but I keep the name calling private. ^^

Running a tournament where the staff cannot make decisions based on a ruling majority is bad.
Very, very bad. I mean I was "head judge" for HoH last year, but that didn't give me any real authority, it just meant I handled the paper work and got to occasionally poke Dash or Desi with a cattle prod to have them do something. I never assumed that it gave me any plausible authority, because I knew that one person having any higher "say" over the rest of the staff was - IS - a godawful idea.
In a huge, messy ordeal such as running a tournament, one person cannot sufficiently review, understand, and decide on every potential situation. The only way to run something smoothly, or as smoothly as possible at least, is to rely on a democratic method.
tldr I agree with Jello as usual, although I do think that what happened with the DERP REVOLUTION was sort of a jerk-off move, because as staff, people should AVOID disruptions, not cause them. There were considerably better venues of operation than practically defacing every part of the guild and abusing one's powers.

Banned one of the best judges you've had in the guild since the competition's start.
I'm starting to see why so many people I've kept telling "no, no, don't quit" have kept saying they've wanted to. Or have.
Vintrict, what are "minor mistakes" to you are not minor mistakes to everyone else. Do you not get this? It's not a difficult concept.

I agree, there is a lot of trolling going on. But even in trolling there are valid opinions being stated. Real things that people have concerns over that should be addressed.
And they should be handled in a way that doesn't punish anyone.
And they should be looked over by other members of the staff before being made official.
And so on. And so on.
People will always complain, that's a given. And even though you can try to be someone's friend when you are an administrator you need to make decisions that are for the good of everyone, at appropriate times. Rule changes in the middle of the round should be reserved for when they are absolutely necessary.
Like that ring out one from this round, that was apparently changed when someone was already in the water. 3 days after the round started.
...ah, whatever. Stuff.
All things in life can be answered by the Little Red Hen.

Oh, and I've been asked to remind you that people were specifically requesting that their fight "not be graded by Vintrict" because of a pretty lackluster track record.
Not my words, but I was asked to post this here.

The only mistake people have been complaining about was when KB started whining that he didn't win, and thus questioned our ruling. Provided, the judging method I used was one of the many that exist out there. At first, honestly, I didn't think people would take it so seriously. Yes, people will always complain. I accepted that fact long ago when I took up GTB. But then suddenly it was "ONE PERSON HAS ALL THE POWER." And well...it went from there. Anyway... >:{

Vintrict The only mistake people have been complaining about was when KB started whining that he didn't win, Vintrict, not even. Not even somewhat. Can you honestly say with a straight face the judging approach to KB's fight, while I agree that was heavily flawed mind you, has been the only problem this year?
I know you're busy and can't always monitor things the way you'd like, but for ******** sakes, you're more observant than that.

I hope you know Victrict, you just lost the best judge, that you've had the entire tournament. Not only did he do stuff he wasn't assigned, he also picked up the slack that the other judge(s) couldn't accomplish. I think that's pretty damn stupid of you, and that just proved that you're quite retarded. And you might as well ban me too, because I'm not in the Tournament anymore, and there is no point in me being here.
Go ******** yourself, and die.

Vintrict, even if you didn't.. do that specifically, in a round about way the result was the same as if you had. People complaining about that system weren't just doing it for the shits and giggles, it just doesn't work.
One person's opinion over-ruling two regardless of the system therein will never work the way we'd like it to. And I mean never.

YOU DID, VINTRICT.
Two judges said he won.
One judge (You) said he lost. You purposely made your scores SO low that it beat out two people. That is retarded, and one of the stupidest ******** things you've ever done.
My god am I glad that Dana didn't allow you to help with rules for the DT.

Vintrict *facepalm* If someone asked you to jump off a bridge... If someone who just ragequit the guild asked me to leave a parting message for them... Or maybe I should be saying: "If someone asked me to post something unflattering towards the person with the banhammer..." Though yes. Depending on who it was, and what the reason was, I would jump off of a bridge if asked. There are plenty of reasons to martyr yourself in this world, some better than others. So here's another one: EXODUS! I hope to see everyone in the Dark Tournament OOC so that there are enough opinions about the rules before the tournament starts to make sure that there won't be a srrs shitstorm over them when it does. Hope to see all the ragequitters there for another shot at this whole 'tournament' thing.
