Dawn never saw the wall of wind coming, and almost was knocked flat by the sudden pressure. Almost. His shadow, still barely intact, took the brunt of the blow for the last time before dispersing around him, leaving the impression of purple flames dancing around him as he closed the final few feet with his opponent. He cut into his opponent with his full strength, feeling the blade cut into his opponent's ide even though his block was up. Dawn spun to face his wounded opponent, panting heavily from his exertion. His arms felt numb. He wondered whether the man would be able to continue fighting with that kind of injury or not....

Pain has already making Marius' vision hazy, but he was not ready to give up and as his opponent stood before him the man would see his shirt writhe where the blood was pooling before four red and blue spears lanced out aimed at each of his thighs and shoulders. The spears were a combination of his ice armor and blood. To Marius it was a final gambit, after all once he loss conciousness or became weak enough the armor would become plain water again. He knew better than to use all of the water or the last shreds of his wind magic since they would be his only chance to heal without entering a coma.

"Gah!" Dawn fell backwards, no shadow to protect him from the spears as they cut into his shoulders and thighs. He fell backwards, keeping any of the blows from being to deep yet still getting hit pretty badly as he fell back, landing on his back. He coughed up blood as blood pooled from his numerous wounds, yet miraculously none of them seemed to be mortal. Coughing up blood he sat up so he face his opponent, supporting himself with his right arm which had come out of the fight in decent shape. He was panting from exhaustion, his sword still clenched in his fist as he sat there, glaring up at his opponent. Was it over......?

Marius' control finally slipped and he fell backwards as the spears became fluid and splashed to the ground. His eyes were open but glazed as his side continued bleeding and he tried to call out the final, vital spell. He had pushed himself too far though and the amount of blood sacrificed for the final attack left him too close to death to master the wind or water. Darkness was closing in on him as his body slipped into a coma and the blood continued flowing. As Marius lost conciosness though, there was a flash of haze in the form of an odd animal that was too unclear for recognition. As it appeared briefly, a gentle breeze stirred over Marius and as it faded away once more words lingered in it's place. "Stop this, wrong way." Then it was gone as though it never was but the wind remained around the body and the blood had nearly stopped. Marius slipped into a coma with a smile because he finally knew where they were.

((Good fight.))

((You too. Fast forwarding a little bit.))

Dawn sighed gently as he looked down at his handiwork. After finishing patching up his own wounds and making sure he was all right, he had set about bandaging his "friend" here. Surprisingly, the man's injuries had not been nearly as serious as Dawn had thought they would've been, but he attributed that to luck more than anything else. The man now had several bandages wrapped around his side and chest where he had been hit, as well as a wet cloth draped over his forehead. Dawn had been fortunate, fighting so near a stream and forest. He had plenty of supplies all around him, and after getting up and about it hadn't taken him long to patch the two of them up and get a small fire going. Sighing once more he sat down next to the fire and watched his opponent silently. It had been a while since he had fought anyone that close to his own abilities, and he was kind of looking forward to talking to the man once he awoke....

His body ached and his awareness stretched beyond his current comatose state, the moon was high and it was nearly the end of his day. He fought for awareness, control, enough power to make some type of note so that he could remember in time. Yet as his silent struggle raged within his mind, time did not cease it's progression, and at a moment that most would not find special, his day ended. The shift was sudden, Marius rose with a howled curse, "Damn, missed it!" A breeze flowed around him even as the bandages fell away to reveal smooth skin and only light scarring. His eyes narrowed as he desperately fought for a clue of why he felt as though something important had come and gone. He paced back and forth in a ten foot line, oblivious to the other man and caught only in his own thoughts. Hunger bit into his abdomen and absentmindedly he opened up a belt pouch and removed a piece of jerked meat that he chewed on as he paced and debated his current course of action in a muttered soliliquay.

The glow of fires spreading through the forest matched the rage of red eyes high above. Ka'rinth used the intense heat of the fires to lift himself high and began to glide in a large circle on the thermal. He looked at the fire carefully and noticed that there were actually two, and one was heading towards his home. He sighed in annoyance at having his hand forced so that by saving his new home he risked exposing his return. Dark wings tilted and a black blur sped towards the ground ahead of the fire before Ka'rinth landed a hundred yards ahead of the blaze. He began focusing as the heat and smoke spread towards him, neither was any concern compared to actual fire so he ignored both as he channeled his earth magic and began the tedious task of spreading his aura out far enough to match the fire that was moving towards him.

By the time the fire had reached him he was prepared and allowed earth magic to lash out of his aura and then forward in something akin to a wave. The ground his aura touched would ripple before rising in a wave that lifted trees and dirt before folding them over the fire and smothering it. This would leave a large scar on the land where trees were up rooted and then partially buried but it would stop a large section of the fire from spreading onwards. The fire could still move out but Ka'rinth knew this area and a river would protect one side of his home, while a series of creeks and evergreens would ultimately stop the other side of the fire. Aside from the protection of his crops though, the dark man had no cares for what happened to these or any other lands.

The dark man stood surveying his work, it was not truly abnormal for him so as he considered his next move, he allowed his aura to ground itself and disappear. Dark wings wrapped his body as a dust and ash collected on his skin. In an instant the wings were gone and skin such a dark brown as to be verging on black stood out as a black shirt and cloak formed out of his skin and hid his features. All that remained was ever lengthening black hair that fell to his stomach from beneath the cowl he pulled over his head, that and glowing red eyes. The figure hummed darkly as it began walking through the forest and viewed the scorched remains caused by the forest fire.

Dawn blinked as the man jumped up, cursing out loud to himself. He sat there for several minutes silently, watching the man as he paced back and forth along the shore. He continued his vigil for a few more minutes before asking softly. "So, you're all right then?" he asked, hoping for some kind of response. He didn't know what his next move would be, but for some reason it felt inappropriate for him to leave before ensuring the other man's safety....

Knux entered the land as he had been anew to all this terrain. He had never been outside the cities and highways of the towns surrounding. He started to think of where the house was that his friend had put on his map and started to venture blindly in the forest. He started to get ready to sleep for he was extremely tired and had been overly burdened with carrying his bags for twenty hours straight. Then a wolf came near and he got ready for to use his animalism but the wolf came over and layed next to him. Knux sat down and the wolf layed his head on his leg. Both went to sleep for the time being.

Marius glanced at the man when he was asked if he was all right and stopped his pacing. His eyes swept the scene as though really just seeing it for the first time before he said, " Who the hell are you? If you must know I'm injured and healing, least that's what I feel like." That was all he would say, it would seem to most as though he were either hiding something or planning with his short question and direct answer. His eyes were greenish in the fire light as mud fell away from spots of his hair to reveal patches of dirty blue. Marius was thinking quickly to figure out how to not reveal his secrets while cursing himself for going so long without noticing the man.

Dawn blinked, slightly surprised by this answer. "Me? I should ask you who you are. After all, you were the one who started our fight. I mean, I had no desire to fight you yet you forced me to go all out against you anyway. It's your own damn fault you're injured...." Dawn sighed, wondering what was wrong with this guy. Perhaps he would've been better off just leaving after all.....

Rayn kept herself quiet, as she rubbed her backside. The skin appeared to be bruised, but not broken. She hissed quietly, her muscles burning, and aching.

She looked around her, and took a dash to a more covered area. Bushes, large plantlife and the like to cover her body decently. Only the more she ran into the brush, the more she would find herself among things that crawled, and bit, and scratched at her.

Marius seemed genuinely taken aback by the response and said with narrowed eyes, "I am Marius, a fighter that is working on becoming stronger. Now what is the name of this ill mannered man that doesn't seem to know they should not ask a name until they have given their own? I have travelled far, but I had believed that to be a world wide curtesy. I suppose I can forgive ignorance if your culture is different though." Marius spoke quickly and truely seemed offended by the man. It was clear that his attitude was very different than before but no explanation was currently forthcoming as he moved the the streambed with one eye and ear on the stranger. Blue green eyes surveyed his person in the water as he looked himself over and began gathering energy from the stream slowly by placing his hands in the water.

Now it was Dawn's turn to look at the man with a mixture of disgust and confusion. "I'm sorry. I'm afraid I have difficulty being courteous with a man who tried to kill me for no reason other than his own personal satisfaction. I tend to show as much courtesy as another shows me, so forgive me for being rude. I am known simply as Dawn." he finished with saying his name, sighing softly as he leaned back. He knew he should've left when he had the chance....
