Yarotai immediately brought himself back to a mindset and facial expression of concern and inquiry. He wasn't so dense as to miss the fact that the girl had ignored any mentioning of the orphanage. Her lack of understanding about the Academy further solidified his suspicions, "How did you get in this village and why are you here? I highly suggest you tell the truth."

As his words escaped his lips the man made no attempt to hide the motion of drawing a kunai from the holster on his right thigh.

Sighing Otome had to explain her story once again. "Look...when the war broke out many people were brought here by..." Not sure of what those people were called but continue with her story "Oh whatever you people call them. Anyway, about my parents, they were citrus performers which means my adopt parents were citrus people." adding "I know nothing of a this school academy that you are talking about" continuing "Look...I'm tired, wore out, and hungry. which she was the whole truth to her side of the story.

[enter from housing]

Jomei ran up the streets with tears streaming down his face. He couldnt believe what just had happened and why he was running. He made a promise with his mother to never leave his father no matter what happens but one thing led to another. He looked at the puppet in his hand while he was running. It was a small and simple puppet for beginners but it was his favorite. His mother had used it to sooth him into sleep before bedtime with it. Together his mother and he called it Hoshizora (Starry Sky) because of the endless amounts of times it was used underneath the bright and starry sky above their theater. It looked like a little boy with stars around the eyes and a smile across the mouth. The puppet wore a black cape that was covered in little stars. To him it could take on any character and protect him in his sleep from harm as it normally hung over his bed in the time that his mother was alive. But his father was in so much grief of his mothers death that he took it down and kept it with the other puppets in the theater. In a way Jomei was glad this puppet was thrown at him it had some sort of meaning to it. On the back in a secret opening compartment that only he knew of was a note that his mother wrote to him on her final mission before she died. It was the reason why he knew he had to join the academy and become stronger. He never told his dad about it because he knew what his dad's reactions would be like. It read:

Jomei,

Look after your father no matter what happens to me on this mission. It was assigned to me, and yes i know it will be a tough one. But, if i dont make it back please look after him. I know you think that this note is probably crazy but one day it could happen. Please dont let your abilities of good bigheartedness go to waste. What ever you do share it with others and join the Academy. Your father may protest but i believe you will do great. Please dont let our puppet skills die. I will always love you.

Your Mother,

Reimei

Her sympathetic and sweet voice still rang in his head while he read it. He knew what he was doing so he continued running taking a few breaks in between when he found a bunch of boxes and barrels on the ground. He dove inside and hid until morning so he could present this to the academy teacher and finally be a student. Because all he wants to do is to learn how to control his puppets.

Yarotai narrowed his eyes at the girl before him. While see did not look or feel like a threat to the village, she was too relaxed about the situation she was in. Or perhaps truly did not understand. It was possible that she had somehow been scooped up with a group of outlying clansmen before Konoha had been brutally betrayed. However even if that were the case she would not be able to go a single day in a hidden village without knowing what shinobi were. They were literally the only ones that could have brought her in after all. At any rate there was one sure fire way of finding out how much if any of her story was accurate.

He took a hold of the childs' arm and began to walk off towards the south, "We'll see."

This startled her when he took a hold of her arm. Dragging somewhere she did not know. After explaining her story he had the nerve to drag off . I mean, who does he think he is, her father! This anger her very much as she made a pouting face. But there was nothing much she can do about it. Otome guessed that some people can be jerks. I mean, she wasn't costing any trouble or disturbing anyone. If he was going to take her to jail then so be it! It's better then sleeping outside somewhere in the streets, forest, or the park.

After several minutes of hurried walking through the village the duo came upon a small camp held a couple hundred meters off from the rest of the village but still inside the gates. A thin though sturdy wooden wall blocked the view of most of the camp to the village. In the center of the barrier was a gate with a manned guard booth. Inside two men brought their attention to Yarotai and the girl. The Chuunin grasping Otome called out to them, "Soubae! Do you kno-"

One of the two men dressed in a blue jumpsuit with a similar vest to Yarotai's held a hand out pointing at the girl, "That's the little imp! One of the patrols dragged her in here a couple of days ago claiming that she had survived an attack from the feudal lord's troops and that she was supposed to be questioned about it! The Yamanaka that was in-processing her said she didn't know anything useful. But those idiots thought she wouldn't cause a problem since they were helping her. Next thing we know she bolts into the village!"

Still holding tightly onto Otome, Yarotai cocked his head at his comrade, "And you couldn't catch a little girl? She wasn't exactly hiding. Did they at least finish getting her information?"

The man inside the booth shook his head, "Naw the interrogator was focused on information on the enemy. Not some refugees life story."

Yarotai turned to the girl briefly with a scowl before addressing the two men on duty, "Fine then. I assume she's got no one related to her in there. I'll take her back to my flat and bring you guys the paperwork in the morning. Since she's in the village we might as well make her useful."

A wave of the hand from the other man at the gate was the only response given as Yarotai spun Otome around and heading back into the village towards the housing area.

Jomei sat inside the mound of boxes that covered him and looked around the small shelter he had constructed out of boxes and barrels. After he was sure that he wasnt drawing any attention with this shelter he snuggled inside holding Hoshizora to his chest. He could remember the time when he first met this little puppet. It was the time his mother told him how the light of the earth came to be. It went along the lines of that the village was shrouded in darkness for a time and nothing couldnt penetrate it. The Kage tried all she could to stop this catastrophe but failed in the end. One day, as he remembered, a traveler cam along and saw the gloom looming over the village. With a wave of his hand he brought out a small wooden figure that looked like a little boy and sent flying into the air. When the little boy came at the peak, light began to consume him and form a ball. With a flash there was nothing left of that puppet but a great ball of light later known today as the sun. The villagers rejoiced but wondered what could have possibly helped them by sacrificing themselves. The young traveler came forth and declared to all that the boys name was Jomei. His soul purpose was to spread he light and bring happiness and let there be a guide to others. Jomei remembered the parade of dancing puppets as his mother and father put on this fascinating play and Hoshizora played as the traveler and little Jomei. Jomei smiled at this little story, but still remembered the rest. His mother described that all the other villages had the same issue with the looming darkness and demanded that they could have a ball of light as well to help their village. The traveler explained to the others that only one of these puppets could be in the sky and would gladly share it with them. With a wave of his hands he set the ball of light into motion and created the first day and night for all the world. His parents explained that when Jomei was born that he was their ball of light bringing happiness to their faces and hope in their eyes so they named him Jomei, spreading light. They also explained that this was the start of the puppet masters and the traveler was his ancestor he was Rialto. [please note this could change if Aruil says no.]. Jomei smiled at this memory it was one of the few that he could remember when his dad was actually happy. He hugged the little puppet and did not want to let go of that memory.

Jomei then remembered the scroll that was given to him by Rhiam. He sat his puppet down next to him and then relized that he couldnt see a thing. He knocked a board on the top free as quietly as possible so that no one could hear or see what he was doing. The moon light shined in on him and he smiled as he took out the scroll and looked at it with wonder. He made sure he was comfortable where he was sitting and then looked at the seal and the sign that indicated that it was from the academy. He slowly opened the scroll and began to read its contents. He took it slow so that he could not skip a thing and could absorb everything. He smiled at the thought of becoming a ninja but he made sure his focus was not broken.

The scroll unfurled revealing twelve depictions of a set of hands forming various designs. A brief explanation was written below the drawings.

Ninjutsu is the art of using chakra to perform techniques that enable humans to do otherwise impossible things. The first lesson for aspiring ninjas is to master forming handseals. Handseals are what allow us to mold chakra inside of our bodies correctly to perform techniques.

Above the drawings was a small blurb.

For use by Konohagakure shinobi only.

Handseals
Description: The first thing the students needed to learn were the handseals that made the Jutsus possible. All twelve should be familiarized. The rules are as follows: Roll 1d20 for each seal, one at a time. The Student must get a 12 or higher in order to correctly perform a seal. Each seal must be performed once correctly before being learned. Use the formula: [1d20 + Int Mod. = (#)].
DC: 12
Total Seals Learned: 0/12

Slowly and carefully Jomei read over all the signs and reread them again. Making sure he could memorize each sign he would need in the future. Once he made sure that he was familiar with what he was doing, he started to focus on the first hand seal and began to mimic it. He felt satisfied with himself as he got the first one right and put it to memory making sure he wouldnt forgot it.

(19-1=18 )

He now felt comfortable that he was able to move on to the second one on the scroll. He fidgeted on the hard ground. But he would not let it stop him. He read over the second hand sign and began to mimic it like he did before. He noticed it was harder but he believed that he could do it. But it was alot harder than he thought and he messed up.

8-1= 7 Fail

He sighed at the fact that he messed up on only the second one. But then he looked at his puppet and decided to try it again. He looked at the scroll once more. He slowly put his hands up and re read the scroll. Slowly he re-did the hand sign and fingered the sign. He flinched thinking he failed because he hated failure. He looked at the scroll and the sign again. Then he looked at his puppet and smiled. But frown at the fact that he couldnt get the sign right.

5-1=4 Fail (again ugh)

Alright one more time ill get it this time! He thought this as he brought his hands up in frustration. He kept getting it wrong and he knew that he couldnt stop now. He put his hands up and made the sign one more time. He knew what the sign was and he memorized the right way to do it. But for some reason his hands kept messing up and fumbling over themselves. He made the sign one more time. He smiled at the fact that he finally got it right.

He was getting a little sleep as it started to get late but he didnt want to stop now. He read and re-read over the third sign slowly as he wanted to make sure that he got it right before he went to bed. He began to form his hands in that sign and made the symbol at the best of his abilities. He looked at the scroll then at his hands to make sure he had it right. But unfortuatly he couldnt get this one so he threw his hands up in the air in frustration and thought that he would come back to it again tomorrow. So he grabbed his puppet and pulled out his cape and used it as a blanket and fell asleep.
