Rei looked up at a camera following his movements.
"Um... Hello." He looked at Maddy's door.
"I don't remember a door camera. Must be a new thing." Rei didn't notice the other hidden cameras that followed him from the alleyway up to the door. He thought for a moment, then opened the door to Maddy's house.
Or, at least, he tried to. The door was locked.
Who locks doors in Lumoise? Or anywhere, for that matter? He pressed the doorbell and waited at the doorstep.

Maddy jumped to her feet as the doorbell rang.
'I'M GONNA KICK YOUR a** THIS TIME, YOU PUNKS!"
She ran to the stairs, jumped onto the railing and slid down. As she did this, she released her Garchomp and Mega Evolved it.
Landing in front of the door, she opened it to find Rei standing there. Her Garchomp behind her frowned; he had been expecting a fight.
"Well... Hi!"
Maddy and her Garchomp stepped out of the way so Rei could come in.

Rei blinked.
"Uh... Hello, Maddy? Expecting more, um, exciting company?" he asked, laughing nervously and carefully avoiding the Mega Garchomp.

Maddy recalled her Garchomp and sighed.
"Gotta be ready for anything, ya know."
She closed the front door behind Rei.
"You arrived at a good time. I haven't set up any traps yet."
They were still upstairs in her closet. The security cameras had taken too long to set up.

Rei kept his shock to a minimum.
"You have traps?" He could only wonder how the boss of team Aqua had traps in possession. He shrugged and headed to the couch, deciding to take a quick nap before doing anything else for the day.

Maddy nodded. "Of course."
A male Kirlia appeared to her side. She nodded at the Pokémon and an assortment of nets, wires, and other various trap things appeared in a pile in the living room.
"I'm an ex-thief, but I don't like throwing things away. I used a lot of this kinda stuff for big heists and such. It was useful for keeping the cops at bay."
She crossed her arms and looked over the pile of stuff, moving some of it with her foot.
"I hope it comes in handy."

Rei nodded.
"I suppose that makes sense, but honestly, I can't relate. I've never really had reason to put traps outside the cavern where I took residence in the desert. Groups of Trapinch usually did that for me." He shrugged, adjusting his seating.
"Do you need help, though?" he asked, trying to be useful.

Maddy picked up a net. It had a few holes in it, but it wasn't anything she couldn't repair.
"Well, if you wanna start setting up traps by all of the doors and windows, that would be good."
She took her TADS out and sent everyone a mass text:
"Just a heads up. Anyone entering my house may wanna watch out for traps."
She pocketed the device.
"That should prevent the others from setting the traps off when they come back."

"Good thinking. I'm glad I came in when I did; I'd hate to get caught in any of these things."
Rei picked up what looked like a bear trap. He inspected it for any malfunctions and, after wiping off a few specks of blood, walked off to set it up by one of the back doors.
"I'm sure this will come in handy. And it's one of the few traps I know how to set up without hurting myself, so I guess I'll start with these." The Countess poked her head out from his hood and sniffed the trap, thoroughly satisfied. Perhaps she could take a little gulp from whatever got caught in the trap... If Rei let her.

Caleb stumbled through the alleyways. He turned to the left.
"KE!"
He turned to the right.
"KE!"
Caleb let out a sigh and started forward again. No reply this time from his bright orange pocket watch. Great job leaving your bag at Maddy's Caleb. He couldn't help but feel a bit wary of letting this pokemon navigate the way back to Maddy's. For all he knew, he might be just going around in circles!
"Kekekekekeke!" his pocket watch laughed maniacally.
Caleb squinted, "are we there?"
"Keke~!"
"I hope that's a yes..." he muttered. He fumbled around for the front door, stepping onto the doormat as he did so. Then pressing the doorbell...
DIN-
"GAH!" Caleb shouted as a net came crashing down on top of him. "You ******** want to go again?! I'll take you all on!" Caleb shouted as he flailed about. Rotom drifted out of his pocket watch. Looking down at Caleb, the Rotom just laughed even more.

Maddy looked around, hearing all sorts of commotion outside her front door.
"What?"
She went and opened the front door, revealing Caleb tangled up in a net. She stood there, silently watching him for a few minutes, and then...
Maddy doubled over, holding her sides and laughing. This was just the sort of comical pick-me-up she had been needing!
"Oh, Caleb!" She cried, wiping tears from her eyes. "You should walk around blind more often."
She extracted a knife from down her shirt and proceeded to cut away at the net, as the boy had tangled it too bad to untangle it properly.

Rei heard a slight thump from the other side of the house. He shrugged and continued placing traps.
Not his problem. Was probably nothing.

Caleb froze whenever he heard laughing. Then Maddy's voice. Way to make yourself a laughingstock once again Caleb.
"I think I'm good on that..." he mumbled. Once most of the net was cut up, Caleb managed to pull it off himself. He fumbled with his poke balls before letting out his Marshtomp. "Can you go grab my bag for me...?" Caleb asked him. The Marshtomp went to go retrieve it, returning shortly after. Caleb thanked him before taking the bag and finding his glasses case. He sighed in relief as he put them on.

Dark was in Mady's backyard, cooking on the BBQ. It was really warm day so he had his shirt off. His body is covered in scars and he has a tattoo (description in profile cause I'm writing the backstory and tired of describing him) on each arm and a large one on his back.
He lights up a cigarette as he cooks and sips on a beer. He was really enjoying today.

Michael decided to go visit Maddy and see how she had been doing, being he had not seen her since the party. He would wander around for a while through the alleys and attempt to locate the house. After about an hour he fouind the house with Maddy and Caleb in front and the smell of grilling from somewhere nearby. "Hey Captain, Caleb. How's it goin'?"
