For the umpteenth time, nothing over 1 day has died for many months, and the only reason some eggs/hatchlings with 0.5 days left die is that we're not always online (but I check in at least once and often several times a day, and so do the other walkers). I found two eggs with 0.02 (about 30 minutes) and <10 views yesterday and managed to hatch them; I _think_ your grey will be fine if you post it again at 2.0 rolleyes rolleyes rolleyes
