Okay, let me rephrase that, it is not as densely populated as the majority of other states. However, you have to admit that there are huge tracts of land where little to no people live. Besides, compared to states like California and possibly New York, 400,000 isn't that big of a number.

@Mint: Well by summer I may be in Indiana depending on if my dad chooses to stay a Tank driver for the Stiker Brigade :S.
@Kage: Alaska is actually about 5 Times the size of Texas. Maps lie. Russia thought the land was useless and barren so they sold it to us and wooo. Also, we have are allied with england so the chances of Canada attacking us is close to 0. Russia already wants the land back and we are basically saying no.

Insanity: That's still a lot of land. As the biggest state, Alaska doesn't have that much of a population. I admit that the chances of Canada attacking us is probably nill and that Russia also probably wouldn't take such a huge risk either stare , but there still is the possibility. Besides, even if a country other than Russia or Canada tried to attack, they could still try aiming for Alaska. I was simply saying that it was a possible target for enemies due to its natural resources and whatnot. Heck, a bunch of the states are possible targets. Well, maybe except for the states in the middle of the US because I don't think there's much to gain from attacking them. Other than, of course, depleting US food supplies. However, I'd doubt that any invaders would want to ruin such fertile land confused .
Mint: You think what happened in Alaska is horrible? What about Hawaii stare ? There last queen was killed by a bunch of white plantation owners who were backed up by the US army. Then, after that happened, the plantation owners decided to set up their own government and voted to make Hawaii a territory of the US. The natives didn't even get a chance to be heard. Actually, that basically sums up the history of how America came to be.
Also, sorry about the miscalculation sweatdrop . I thought you meant that the total was 400,000.

I am a crazy bad realistic person. I hate it. The idea of a Utopia is such a good thing but in practice it would be so dull and lifeless it would crumble.

-Forced into slavery for thousands of years. (Hmmm thats much longer than the Blacks.)
-Freed from slavery to wander for 3 generations until they found a home
-Forced from their Home by the Arabs.
-Wandered around aimlessly for hundreds of years
-Forced into oppression by Romans for about two thousand years.
-Pushed to Slavery by Romans.
-Killed off for their beliefs by romans.
-Had their Mesiah murdered.
-Rose in rebellion only to be forgotten by their leader and left to wander
-Found home in Europe.
-Pushed out by French
-Pushed out by Russians
-Pushed out by others
-Allowed back in
-Murdered by Hitler
-Finally get their homeland back
-Fight a war with the Arabs the day of their creation as a nation
-Attacked constantly by the Arabs.
-Forced to give up land to the arabs.
-Now told that they don't deserve their land by the very country that helped build them (US)
