Not that he wanted to take his girlfriend’s team out. In fact if he had to loss to anyone it would be her. However they deserved to win that cup. Location: Quidditch Pitch : Ravenclaw vs. Gryffindor David was so close he was almost on top of the snitch. Now he just needed to catch it. Taking a deep breath he knew he didn't want to jump the gun. He just needed to be slow and steady and strike at the last minute. spaceGypsy gave a faint shriek at being suddenly pelted with bludgers, first the one she'd attempted to hit at the Gryffindor seeker, and a second one, aimed at her by Jacob. She sucked in a sharp breathe to try and tamp down the pain, but hell, that'd hurt. Sheesh, did Jacob have freaking super strength or something? She shot the Gryffindor beater a glare and aimed a bludger at him, hoping she could return the favor.

Shayna had finally spot the dumb thing and was heading after it when she heard a shriek of pain. She couldn't help herself as she turned on her broom to see and watched Gypsy get hit with two bludgers and in the split second that her eyes weren't following the snitch, she herself was hit in the stomach by a bludger. She sucked in a deep breath as her partially leaning body slipped from the force and she spun around her broom. Taking shallow breaths she had to get to that snitch... Location: Quidditch Pitch : Ravenclaw vs. Gryffindor Thanks to his sensitive ears David head Shayna get hit which momentarily made him lose his focus. 'Stop thinking about it...' he told himself. He didn't need this right now... This is what they both signed up for if they couldn't take the pain they shouldn't be playing Quidditch. Reaching his hand out David tried to regain his focus.  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~Third Year ~~~~~~~~~~~Seer "The best way to keep something bad from happening is to see it ahead of time..." A healthy Iñigo went into the game with a full head of steam. He had to get things done this game and nothing was going to get in his way. Well, except more bludgers, but that was another story. HE noticed the Gryffindor captain had shot the bludger and Shayna and it seemed to have incredible pace. He watched...too late to get to it. It hit her, but he had to get the boy back. So he went for Jacob Drage "and you can't see it if you refuse to face the possibility." Location: Quidditch Pitch : Ravenclaw vs. Gryffindor David timed his grab and feeling the snitch in his grasp he was in absolute shock. 'Did I just...?' Finally the realization kicked in. "I caught the snitch!" he called out holding it up. Whatever happened to Tanya's throw didn't even cross his mind. He'd just won the game and the Quidditch cup. Looking to Shayna he actually felt back for catching it but it was the last snitch either of them was ever going to touch. "Shayna! I'm sorry I caught the snitch but one of us had to do it." he told her with a big smile. Hopefully there were no hard feelings. Status: We... won... Jacob whooped as soon as he saw the snitch caught, and then had to veer a bit to avoid a bludger aimed his way. He glared over at the beater on the other team taking aim at him, and nearly rolled his eyes. "Hey, watch what's going on, the game's over. You don't need to be aiming at people now." He then landed, hitching his broom over his shoulder. He had to hand it to his team, they managed it, they won the cup! Looking over to Gypsy, he gave her a small grin. "Hey, good game. Sorry about the loss, though.".

Shayna saw that David had caught the snitch and slowed to a quick stop. She felt bad but also was happy for him. She felt bad that she had let her team down, but hey. It wasn't like Gypsy didn't have other capable Seekers to replace her with. She smiled as David said he was sorry. "Don't worry about it." She said chucking and with a wince landed to head to the another part of the campus to heal what bruise she was going to have on her stomach. spaceGypsy groaned lightly when the Gryffindor seeker caught the snitch. Dammit, there went that... Oh, well. For it being her first year as team captain, they hadn't really done half-bad. She ignored the fact that a majority of that was because they had Shayna as a Seeker and Shayna was one of the best Seekers in the school. Her body was bruised enough without her ego taking a hit. She hit the ground with a wince, shooting Jacob an obviously-fake glare. "Yeah, yeah. You should be apologizing for that hit, you arse. ******** hurt," she said dryly, extending her hand for the other captain to shake. "But, good game. Or, you played a good game. I mostly got myself pummeled," she said with a snort. Inside, her ego smarted, but she could ignore it in favor of good sportsmanship... Provided she didn't have too much trouble finding Jer once she got done in the hospital wing. She needed someone to complain to, and as of a couple of weeks ago, that was pretty much his job. If he were any sort of decent boyfriend, he would've watched her game and known she was headed that way and followed her up (maybe let her lean on him and limp a bit), but she didn't think he made a habit of going to the games and didn't expect him to start now. She wasn't completely unreasonable.

As she headed off the field David quickly followed after her. "Hey wait up. I'll come with you." he told her really wanting to give her an option. He wasn't going to leave his girlfriend specially when she was hurt like that. Not that he was worried, but he had to make sure she was okay.
