Sunpaw began to run, she wanted to escape this place, she wasn't supposed to be here yet.] "Someone help me!" [She whimpered. Suddenly, everything came back. Her sense of smell, her eyesight, and Rainpaw!] "Rainpaw, w-what happened?! I-I was s-so scared. A-Are you okay? Please be okay." [Sunpaw babbled. Sunpaw jumped onto all her paws and licked Rainpaw.] ____________________________ Cause when the sky's the darkest

She looked so peaceful... Almost too peaceful. He shook his head, it couldn't be. She wasn't ready yet. Rainpaw thought for a moment on how he'd feel if she was taken away. He'd feel sad, no doubt, he had just gotten back, so he wanted to spend more time with her. The young apprentice was jerked from his train of thought when he heard a soft voice. Rainpaw jumped up and looked at Sunpaw, his eyes glowing.] "SUNPAW!!!!!!!" [He howled in happiness.] "I was so worried for you! Are you okay? Me? oh yeah, I'm fine. YOU're the one that like, passed out. I mean, you really had no need to be scared. I said I was gonna protect you. But I mean, you passed out, so clearly I didn't to a good job on that an--" [Rainpaw rambled on and on and was cut off by her licking him. and guardian of all things."_______________________________________________ [Guardianpaw froze, realizing he was pressing close to the kitten. Weirded out by his own weirdness, he scrambled backwards, fur flufed out more in embarrassment.]
"S-sorry!" he gasped, repeating the apology for a different reason now. [He shivered a bit as a wave of relief washed over him, stronger than the fear and terror he'd felt before combined.
It was almost as if he'd been walking around with a huge burden on his shoulders, and at Shimmer's acceptance, the gargantuous load had been lifted. Relief soon evolved into exhiliration as he purred loudly, tail swishing back and forth as he sniffed her in a less intense manner.]
"So where'dja come from?" he asked curiously. "I haven't seen you around camp lately since before'n those foxes came! And you're not a newborn, and you don't smell like NightClan!"
[He squinted at her, almost as if he could discern her origin by simply glancing at her shimmering coat. Shimmering, yet dirty coat.]
"And why're you covered in muck!"
[Without an explanation, he promptly padded over to her side and began to lick the muck away vigorously with one tongue.]
"They should call you Mudfur!" he teased coyly, purring as he successfully implemented an excuse to have contact with the she-kitten. [Her scent flowed through his being and soothed a long-suffering feeling in the brink of his soul.

She was a very kind cat and deserved the best. She turned her thoughts to her wounds, crinkling her nose at the thought of cleaning it off. A few of her wounds were still oozing. That didn't make her feel very good. Literally. She felt sapped of energy, not to mention very, very sore. Her wounds stung and felt painful. She sat back on her haunches with a loud thuumpth. Wincing she began cleaning her fur off. She realized that her wounds weren't extreme, but were bad enough to cover her in blood.]
[Every lick grew number and number as she continued to groom. The blood clogged her smell and taste, making her feel a bit sick. She was growing worried for the other clans back at the Gathering. How could so much have gone wrong? Why did this night have to bring so much pain? The thought of it made her even more exhausted. But she couldn't sleep in the middle of the clearing. Heaving herself up with a grunt, she padded off towards the medicine cat's den. Hauntedheart was still back at the Gathering and she didn't bother looking for Rabbitpaw. He'd probably be around. She entered and sat down, curling her tail around her paws. Her shoulders drooped and her head hung in exhaustion. Her eyes closed halfway. Mudnose was ok. I couldn't help but laugh at her as she snarled at Rabbitpaw. Her injury hadn't changed her at all.
Casting a sympathtic glance at the young Medicine Cat apprentince, I flicked Mudnose with my tail, purring slightly] "Now Mudnose, is that any way to talk to your future Medicine cat?"I asked teasingly. Ducky
"Marcy?" [The quivering orange mass of ginger fur slowly unraveled, revealing a small and rather distressed looking kitten.] "Marcy." [Ducky said again, lifting her head up to look at Marblepaw. Ducky's glittering blue eyes searched Marcy's own, and a small tinkle of a smile lit her features. She still had her friends. Her friends were hurt and a bit in shock... Yes, but she still kept them. 'And.' Ducky told herself with a determined shake of the head. 'I'll keep them always. No winds ever gonna touch them.' Memories flashed in her mind- Windy day, clouds darkening, trying to get away, can't fly, giant funnel, quacking, running. Eugh.]
[Shaking off the small flashback, Ducky lowered her gaze from Marcy's and got into a nice sitting position.] "Are they coming back?" [ One does not shake off a sudden ambush of foxes so quickly.]

She hissed slightly, whirling around to growl at Rabbitpaw. "Rabbitpaw, you haven't bothered to fix up Foxfur?! He could get an infection, and all you've been doing is sitting around like a bump on a log!" she hissed angrily. She sighed, a cough escaping her. Her tail flicked slightly, and confusion crossed her face. What had the apprentice been doing while she was out?!
Mudnose shook her head slightly, sighing. Mudnose was always so quick to snap at everyone but myself. Grinning, I nudged her gently with my nose, laughing softly] "He was too busy making sure you didn't die! I had to drag you back here after you passed out. You should've seen the state you were in! I had to pop your shoulder back into place, and now you're up, walking around like nothing happened. My injuries could've waited. They're not that bad, right?" [Twisting my head, I tried to spot some injuries, smelling the blood, but not spotting any. Standing up, I stretched out all four legs, inspecting each one before placing them back on the ground. They weren't that bad, just a few scratches here and there. I rolled my shoulders, wincing. There was probably a gash somewhere by my shoulder blades. That was going to scar. Sighing, I sat down and nodded to Rabbitpaw, permitting him to treat my wounds] _____________________________________________________________________________________________ You are my life. Mudnose
[Mudnose blinked, her eyes widening. Her tail immediately stroked her own shoulder. It didn't hurt, of course. She sighed though, her ears flattening. "That bad, huh?" she asked cautiously. Her ears flattened even more as Foxfur winced. Her eyes rested on the nasty gash stretching from his shoulder, running down his side. She looked back at Rabbitpaw, her eyes narrowed slightly. She still spoke to Foxfur. "Did you kill the fox you were fighting..?" she asked. Her tail flicked slightly, wrapping around her paws.
Rabbitpaw
[Rabbitpaw's ears flattened at the sudden flurry of accusations, and his claws sank into the ground. He was about to sneer a few stinging retorts, but he was reminded of Foxfur's presence. He sighed, padding back to go get cobwebs and marigold. He took a few poppy seeds and padded back to the orange deputy. Sighing, he began chewing marigold. There was no use sneering at his mate or whatever she was to him. It would only bring trouble anyway. Not worth it.]

[ Songpaw padded forward into camp, before she could collapse again. She fell right in front of the medicine cat den, scrambled to her feet, and walked in. She felt awful, herself shaking, and her body felt like it was screaming on the inside. ]
Is ready for ANYTHING.
