The word "blog" sounds so dumb.
I think most forums have got worse.
I used to think that was just an illusion and that really they hadn't changed at all... that I was just fondly remembering the "good old days", when I and everyone that I met back then were more active.
I don't think that is the case anymore though. I think the forums really have gone downhill.

The Guilds are often a good escape though, and the internet is full of forums. The fresh ones are generally better. Forums seem to have a set and finite lifespan.

So do guilds though. They get quieter and quieter until you're lucky if there are 3 posts in a week!
Most of the guilds I'm in are pretty dead now.
