Ahahahahaha! I has created something fantastic! An ASIAN Jambalaya! emotion_kirakira
Instead of the usual kind of sausages, rice, stock and veggies I used Chinese sausages (they're sweet and delicious), sushi rice, fish(er, actually has a Japanese name I can't remember), water chestnuts and other things like that. It's really good. =u= *nomnomnoms* Although I think if I just used the Chinese sausages and rice alone together it would be really good like that, too~

Cajun style food really is super delicious. I love it, but a lot of restaurants make it too spicy for me. I don't mind a little spice at all and I love strong flavors, but when it's so hot/spicy I can't taste the food anymore it makes me sad. >.<
That's why I usually make Cajun dishes myself at home instead of getting them at restaurants. (Although I'm not Cajun at all as far as I know...) If I have any French in me then it's probably from the Huguenots.

It's actually kinda funny. I'm related more to the Italians and Portuguese [related to Christopher Columbus by blood], but alot of my family grew up in New Orleans. Amg I miss going there...un...Cafe Du Monde...best place to eat beignets.

I really want to go to New Orleans one day... That would be great. Although I don't think I'd want to go around Marti Gras (or however it's spelled). That just sounds like too wild of a party for my tastes. =u=; It's excited you're related to Christopher Columbus! The main historical figures I'm related to by blood are Daniel Boone and apparently I'm an extremely distant cousin of Nixon (although I'm not too proud of that...) Oh! I'm also descended from James Robertson who founded Nashville, TN and was basically TN's "mama" in a lot of ways. *hears* W-Wait... You're one of Robertson's kids!? gonk Yup. Although I think there are a LOT of people in TN who can trace their ancestry back to him in some way... I mean, he lived some 300 years ago. It's not surprising his blood flows through a lot of Tennesseans. Same goes for Daniel Boone except I do know for a fact that my grandmother was a direct descendant and even still carried the Boone name before she got married. A horrible person like you... a child of those great men... *depressed* .___.;Genes are funny like that, huh? emotion_awesome

Yeah, people are like "Srsly?" Ahh~ good ol' Mardi Gras~ I used to go every year before Katrina hit. We did the outer parades, not the boob flashers y'know? Although it would have been interesting....the parade!
-snort, plays the piano-
Ah mai gosh srsly? Lucky you! I've also been to the Alamo, that was a fun trip to Texas
