She was obviously shocked by such news as she stared down at the ring blankly. He was... taken? She just missed him?
With a deep sigh, she thanked Sage for his time, then walked off towards the GNA. She wanted to check said information. Sometimes people screw up their words and it sounds like something it is not... right?

As Fenris walked off, Sage sighed. He then took a deep breath and resumed his meditation. In the calm mental state of his meditation, he opened his third eye and began observing the surrounding area. The pulse of life as it flowed through the land, through the trees. Through the plants and animals, and even through the air on the wings of both birds and microbes. And then he noticed Psyche. Upon noticing her, he didn't move. Nor did he open his eyes or give indication that he knew where she was, he simply spoke, " Hello hidden one...come to have a chat?"

Psyche's eyes widened in surprise. That guy with the squirrels must have noticed her chakra signature. She'll be glad when she can hide that, too. Then she got up and walked over to Sage. She eyed the little rodents before speaking. "So do you talk to those things or something?"

Skillfully ignoring her question, he replies, " They like pancakes. Do you like pancakes?"

The distraction worked. It isn't just the fact that she's easily distracted. Psyche loves pancakes! "Who doesn't like pancakes?" Her three fox tails started to wag and her ears perked up.

Sage replied, " evil people don't like pancakes...but the squirrels here love pancakes. If you feed them pancakes, they will be nice to you. Then you just have to keep from taunting them, or being mean to them in any way....and they will be loyal to you."

The tails and ears fell. "I do believe you just lectured me." She crouched in front of Sage. Icy blue eyes surveyed the fuzzy rodents. The tip of each tail twitched in contemplation. "Okay, I'll be nice to them. But only if they bring back a certain something of mine that they stole."

Sage said, " and just what did they take from you? and more importantly, were you throwing it at them?"
His position remained still, as did the squirrels upon his shoulders, knees, arms and head.

"It was a dagger. A very pricy dagger, and I still have its twin." She thought for a moment. "And no, I didn't throw it at them. They have a habit of stealing shiny objects from me. Kinda like crows or ravens..."

Sage responded, " must be bad karma then. Try being nice to the squirrels for a while first, then you may find what they took yours once again. "
I wonder if the dagger that was taken is the one that they dropped to me a while ago? hmm...if it is, I'll give it to the squirrels in a few days to return to her. Assuming she's cordial to them in the mean time.

"Oh fine then, I'll be nice to the squirrels. Just tell that one to stop stalking me! It's weird to be followed by a squirr--" She stopped in midsentence. Psyche had finally noticed the scent coming off of the squirrels. It wasn't like that one that popped up every once in a while. This was a different group of rodents. "Hmm. I think I'll be going now."

Sage responded, " if you must go then go...but you might find it more relaxing to sit and meditate here with me for a bit. If we wait long enough, the squirrels will bring out their instruments and begin playing the music of the forest...."

Psyche got up, brushing grass and leaves from her tails. "Nah, I'm good. Nice talking to you, ah..." She thought for a moment. For the life of her, she couldn't remember if she had met this guy or not.

"Sage is what I go by. Have a nice one fuzzy tailed lass. And remember, the squirrels like pancakes that are fluffy in the middle, and crispy around the edges."

"Well then, nice to meet you, Sage. Later." And she started to walk off. As she did, she entered into her state of partial Non-Existance again. Sage wouldn't hear anything of her after that. And the little woodland animals wouldn't be able to pinpoint her scent anymore.
