They'll get an updated codex in a year or two. Until then, enjoy the cheaper models by about six points.

Van, an FAQ was released stating that the Storm Troopers have the Imperial Guard Stormies Hellguns.
So a bloke that works at my GW said.

I want an Imperial Guard Tank army or some Valkyries... Only a small army though, maybe 1000 pts.

Jason Kharo Van, an FAQ was released stating that the Storm Troopers have the Imperial Guard Stormies Hellguns. So a bloke that works at my GW said. Until I see that in writing, I wouldn't believe it, since Cruddace went out of his way to change 'Hellgun' to 'Hot-shot lasgun' with regards to the different AP values. That, and giving Inq Stormies AP3 guns for 5 points cheaper than IG Stormies would just invalidate the latter as a viable option.

Update for inquisitorial stormies replacing them with clones of IG ones would be better, buy with those in troops slots, sisters and grey knights would be quite underpowered... another conundrum, especially regarding fluff. Where I play allied INQ stormies are used as 5 man 2 meltagun tank hunters, usually in rhino or taking a ride in a valkyrie...

Jason Kharo I want an Imperial Guard Tank army or some Valkyries... Only a small army though, maybe 1000 pts. Kinda hard to pull off, not unless you plan on going infantry light. Say, take two veteran squads, give each a Chimera or put them in Valkyries, throw in a lord-commissar or Primaris Psyker as the HQ choice and spend the remaining points on tanks.

Jason Kharo Van, an FAQ was released stating that the Storm Troopers have the Imperial Guard Stormies Hellguns. So a bloke that works at my GW said. There is no such FAQ. People wish that they could give their 10 point models superior weaponry, but in all likelihood the storm trooper will be removed from the future Inquisitorial codex in favour of retooled Sisters and Grey Knights. Sisters are 11 points, putting those alongside 16 point Storm Troopers would make the standard gun-nun even more attractive. Making the Inquisitorial ST's cheaper would result in IG players nagging and bitching like stupid little bitches because the same model with the same stats and the same equipment is cheaper in that other list. Nag. Nag. Nag. AD NAUSEUM. Or something like that.

Oh, I heard that there was, that's a shame. Yeah Mac, I wanted to do that, but I don't have the time to build any of them nowdays, which is a shame.

Same here, Karo. Last time I panted anything was a few months ago....just been picking up skirmishes and such every now and then.
And the Lt. spoke true; it'd all be NAG for days. It'll be a bit sad to see them go, though....

Ten storm troopers and no time to assemble them? If they are the classic models then all you need to do is stick them to a base. If they are Kasrkin you only need to add a proper backpack to each model. confused

gota love the kasrkin, i'm slightly upset by the change in the rules for commanders, no armory... so sad, but the commands make up for it sorta...

Kasrkin can be something of a bother to paint properly though, I'm glad I didn't attach their backpacks just yet. Plus painting them all in Denison camo is proving to be quite a pain with all those armour plates and details obscuring the clothing.
