The party was great, but I got cockblocked by a few of my friends in a pretty serious way. Neither of them realized that they were doing it, though, so we're all good. We need to come up with a signal for when that's happening. It happens to me a lot.
And no, there wasn't any forum rape. Roman politics/strategies were only discussed for a short time.
I just realized that there is an episode of Kids Next Door that is a direct spoof of The Animatrix. I'm a huge fan of both and figuring that out made me infinitely happy.
