Do they have you decked out in fairly heavy gear too, or are they better about that and give you lighter stuff to wear in the heat?
PostPosted: Thu Jul 29, 2010 7:33 pm

Heavy gear ain't a bad thing when it comes down to it. Yes, it's heavy and gets really hot, but I'd rather have heavy stuff in between me and the enemy's bullets. Still, we get to downgrade when there's nothing serious to worry about.

80 degrees C... I can't even drink my tea that hot.. sweatdrop
PostPosted: Thu Jul 29, 2010 9:19 pm

Yep, that's hot enough to sterilize things...

Average temperature, though, is between 45 and 50 Celsius (110-120 Farenheit), but it can get up to 60C (140F) overseas. That's not including other factors (like a broken AC inside a big, metal box with an engine in it).

I didn't see it there. I don't think we've archived the clans yet--we've been slowly working on updating the clan listings. But I don't recall seeing an Uzumaki clan there, either.

I don't recall seeing the Uzamki clan around as of latly, if anything it may not have been completly approved, cause nothing has been just deleted, everything gets archived.

KOURI! I'm sorry I've kept you waiting crying A post will be coming your way soon!

There once was a man who was very successful. He had the American dream: a beautiful home with a lush, green yard and every modern convenience, a loving wife and 2.5 kids, a fancy car, and a high-ranking job in a huge corporation. He worked hard every day of his life and earned every penny that was coming to him. He spent long hours at work and brought some of his work home with him. But, that was all right--things were just a little busy now, and he'd spend time with his family once things settled down. Besides, he was amazing at his job. He was very charismatic, he knew the market, he predicted and projected every turn, and he made his company millions of dollars.

He was well on his way to becoming partner. But, one night, as he was working late, he collapsed of a heart attack. His secretary found his body the next morning, slumped on the floor. At least a hundred people came to his funeral, each one carrying a dozen roses. His bosses and co-workers spoke of how intelligent and hard-working he was, and his family spoke of how great a provider he was. When the crowd has dispersed and he was interred, Death came along and etched a single word on his gravestone:

IDIOT.

As great as he was at predicting the market, there was one contingency for which he never prepared himself: his own death. That day when things would slow down and he could relax never came--because he never stopped and created it. So, he never spent time with his family and never did anything fun he wanted to do. Instead, his life revolved around work and the constant pressure to get things done.

In the end, everyone dies, deteriorates, or fades away with the passage of time. Your job, your school, the things you gather, the things you do or get done--those don't matter. The only things that truly matter on this temporary Earth are who you are, what kind of person you've been and where, at the end of it all, you're going to be. As for me, only one thing answers all of these: I am a child of God.

My worst nightmare is when the ramen ate me. Seems like everyone took a break once august came. Heh. Well how was everyone's summer? I wanna hear some good stories.

... I embraced this never-ending grief.User Image
