In the plane of the dead, Reeve mutters a bit to himself in prayer. As has happened only a few times before, white plate armor starts to forge itself around him.
"Gonna need all the help I can get," he says.
Meanwhile, back in the realm of the living, a lot of dust is kicked up on the old road that leads to the Academy. An old, outdated personell carrier comes careening down the road to an abrupt stop, and several dark-green uniformed people jump out, weapons in hand. Only one, a girl obviously in command, doesn't look /totally/ suprised to see Reeve dead on the ground.
"Arrah, now, sure an' an angel's comin' t'take our man awa'? We saw 'is pulse flatline on t'monitor."

Iri looks up at the unexpected visitors. She gets to her feet and performs a polite bow. When she straightens, Iri says, "Nope, no angel here. Just a winged woman that resembles one." She looks to Reeve's frozen form and then at the girl that looks to be in charge. "And may I ask who you are?"

She turns to her troops and orders them about with waves of her hands, and they file out into a loose perimeter guard.
" Y'man there, Reeve, is our leader, an' we thought it best to check up when his vital signs dropped."

Eirennian Republic Army? And Reeve's their leader?
A dozen questions are floating through Iri's mind, but she doesn't voice any of them. They can wait for another time. Taking care of these people is a little higher priority at the moment. "Well, it's a long story. Do you want me to fill you in, or do you want to wait for Reeve to do that?"
I really wish I knew what's safe to tell them...

" Go ahead," Sarah says. "Don't worry, it's not the first time we've been here. We're used t'the wierdness." She turns her head to call over her shoulder, "DETAIL! Be at ease!"
In a quick, snapped movement, all the soldiers shift into a relaxed pose, leaning on their rifles.

"Okay... I'll tell you what I know, but there's more history than I've heard that's involved. This young woman here, she calls herself Saffron, I believe is some kind of reincarnate of a woman called Fenris. Her soul separated from that of someone called Fenrir, and it carried her memories with it to hell. When she reappeared, Tutsumi and Reeve decided to retrieve her memories. So Reeve suicided and dragged Tutsumi's soul down with him. Now Fen-erm, Saffron-has healed their bodies and is preventing their decay while we wait for them to return from hell."
Iri sighs and runs a hand through her hair. I never did like to talk that much...

Sarah nods, and as she does, one of the soldiers in the line raises his hand.
"I 'member that! She was a bit of a heinous b***h to him, that she were!"
The commander sighs and shakes her head. "That'll do, corporal..."

That comment doesn't sit well with Iri. If she remembers right, Fenris had been possessed by Fenrir, or something like that. She's only heard bits and pieces of the story. But Iri's certain Reeve wouldn't have cared so much about Fenris if she were a total hell raiser. "Now I never knew about Fenris before Saffron came along, but as I understand it she had some big problems herself."

"More waiting then," Iri mutters. Her right wing twitches. She's starting to feel restless. Not surprising of course. To keep moving is a habit of her's that she is not likely to shake any time soon. "Well, is there anything I can do for you or your company?"

Psyche looked at Iri and noted her twitching wing. She shifted to her left side and sighed.
"Well, looks like there are plenty of people to watch the dead bodies lay there sooo I'm gonna go get something to munch on. Call for me if you want some company, Iri, unless you wanna come with." She already knew Iri would more then likely stay. She'd probably stay next to Reeve until he was back from Hell with his brother and Saffron's memories.
Psyche headed off in the direction of the kitchen knowing that Iri would find her if she wanted to come along or call for her later.
