Damnit, I really need to watch what I say, especailly around her, she's an elder, and my elders haven't spoken with the outside world for ages. There's no way she knows what their planning, I need to be more careful, but she'll be usefull in gathering information.
Zane only laughed, "That doesn't matter.. I have a rule, Look but no touch, you're taken, okay then I'll never once make a phycial pass at you, but flirting, it's jsut my style. Keeps the grounds shaking and I like things to be rocking."

"Rule or not, your continual attempts at flirting are hardly doing anything to keep things 'shaking', as you put it. I was just saying you might want to try your hand at someone who won't just turn you down flat." Neko replied.

He hung upside down from a branch beside her, "I will, I always do, I just like the thrill of the chase!"
He grinned and flashed a peace sign.

"It's rather hard to chase someone who won't run...or to try and chase someone who can outfox you at everyturn." She replied, opening one eye to look at him.

Footsteps, soft and delicate, echoing off the nearby trees and plantlife...A figure rounded the corner of a New York street, and right into central park. A patrolling guard gave that figure a steady, suspicious glare turning his flashlight towards what was apparently a woman wearing a headband with what the guard assumed was fake doggish ears...though he couldn't seem to see the headband. He scratched and shook his head in dismay, slightly creeped out by the appearance of the girl. "What is a woman like her doing out so late?" he wondered, but the young woman didn't seem to notice him or his flashlight at all. She passed by, hands deep in the pockets of her jeans. Shrugging off the strange, unsteady feeling the guard had, he returned to his patrol, hoping he wouldn't have to reprimand the woman for damage to public property.
The girl's name? Willow, of course...like the tree near the lake to her left. She sat down on a nearby bench, eyeing the group of druggies on the opposite side of the path she was near...a few yards away, smoking what she was certain was pot. The smell was too distinctive not to know what it was. With a sigh, she closed her eyes and brought the sleeve of her shirt closer to her mouth, to keep the high-inducing smoke out of her lungs.

Leaning to the body of a tree Mina hide in the darkness. Ever watching what happened around her and what did not. Looking into the dark of night, she saw many things. Nothing seemed to be of any interest to her and silently she stayed in the shadows. Relaxing in her spot she let one leg dangle while the other was at an angle with her foot planted in the limb.
The black leather duster she wore was to the other side of the limb to her dangling leg. Mina was leather clad in her dark fighting suit with weapons at her reach. Her kanata lay at her side on her suit waiting, calling for the blood of others. The golden braid of her hair was laying on her shoulder to flow down to her lap and follow her leg some of the way.
The park lay silent and still with no motion. No breathing, nothingness. It was absolute that no one was there and yet there was something to the atmosphere. There was something there, something unreal. The brush and leaves about her moved slightly from a breeze and the moonlight streamed down to hit her face.
There was shock and uncertainty in Mina's blue eyes. She stared up into the light to see there was nothing there. Evidentally her own mind was toying with her. Closing her eyes, she was releaved to see it was nothing to worry about. Again her face was smooth and a pale. Her lips no longer pouting but just simply lightly luscious as always.
She once again leaned to the body of the tree to gaze down to the park. The nothingness of the park was over whelming. Mina leaped down from the tree no longer wishing for ever lasting boredom but for something exciting. Emerging from the brush she made her way to the pathway in the park. Continuing down the path there was a walklamp that seemed to be as bright as the sun to her. Not seeing the sunlight did have it's disadvantages, but at least she could always see in the dark.
Among the mist there was only cold bitterness. The silence seemed defening. Not too far up ahead there was a bench. Mina took a seat hoping to see someone cross her path. Considering it was New Years the possibility of finding someone boozed up was higher than usual, but makes even more interesting prey. The intoxicated are quite funny during torture. Mina gave a light, soft laugh to remembering the great times she had with them.
Crossing her legs she began to relax in her new place of waiting. Laying her arms on the back of the bench she began to recline. Mina closed her eyes and stayed in her place. As breathing was not a nessesity anymore she ceased of doing so and waited for her new prey to come. As being a master temptress she knew well how to get the good game. Never be hasty for the good ones always seem so seek you out.

He had intaken his wings and horns before he left. There were tourists everywhere. He kept tripping over passed out people. This was a shitty time to be out.

Silent...peaceful...This time of day, or rather, night, always made her feel at ease. The druggies had long since spotted Willow, and thinking she was a passed out drunkard, one of them walked right up to her and started mumbling something to the others about the pathetic state of the world. It angered her so, that some drug addicted b*****d could even say things like that...he was no better than the rest of the human world. Of course, she didn't say a word...she remained as stone, unmoving and emotionless, her eyes closed and "playing along" for the moment with the idiot.
The group formed a ring around her, talking...smoking, it seemed to go on forever before she got sick of it. Sick of the unwelcome company, something odd happened, that the group would probably look back on as being the ultimate hallucination from their last high, discussing the scary occurance in rehab.
The lightbulb in the nearby street lamp suddenly exploded in a sudden burst of flames, glass shattering and cascading like a deadly rain over the group. This however, didn't scare them off, but just got them laughing...too damn high to care that glass shards were covering their shoulders. Suddenly, two more streetlamps, farther away blew up in the same way, and then another and another, all going further away from the spot that the group circled.. By this time, they seemed more than shaken and their laughter had gone to a nervous chuckle... and finally absolute silence. A hiss escaped the mass of clothing that was Willow at the moment. "Die." A muffled scream came from the nearest to Willow, and finally, the druggies got the hint...
Time to run. Scrambling away, a crack pipe or two being thrown into the air as the chaos began. Too dark to see, and too high to care they ran into each other. The group rounded the corner, running out of central park. Laughing, Willow moved from the spot at which she now stood. All she had really down was cover the mouth of one of the idiots, and pinch him hard at the back of the neck. Human fear was always so funny to watch, especially when you were the one causing it.
She figured that the security guard at the gate would probably come looking soon to see what had happened, and so Willow decided to move from her comfy spot by the lake, to take a stroll through the park. It was New years, and so it was safe to not have her wolf ears and tail concealed, considering everyone here at this time was probably drunk, and any who weren't would either convince themselves that she was a hallucination, or someone later on would.

Zane looked up suddenly and felt a leak of human fear find it's way drifting into his mind, he grined slightly before shaking off his head, and returning to look at Neko, "You're missing the point.. but... never mind that for now.. I'll try to refrain if it annoyes you, but I can't garentee anything."
He grinned and flipped from the tree branch landing on his feet, Geez what a stiff! Most women eve nif taken go off the deep end laughing it up when another guy flirts with them. Not this one... That guy must have her trained good. Huh, good job Zane-ol-pale make a bad pun that nobody but you would think of.

Stepping over a drunk in the pathway, Willow sighed, looking down at the poor bum. She couldn't help that she did truly pity the race...They were dooming themselves with their constant advances in polluting the earth, religious crusades...war, oh it never ended. Greedy as they were, not all of them were that bad. Just most. Continueing on her stroll through the park, Willow bumped into another drunk, who was apparently still awake. STopping in her tracks, she tilted her head and stared curiously at the man, watching him constantly shift his center of balance, as if the world was spinning beneath his feet...which it was, but that wasn't the point. "You wunnuh fight...?" He mumbled, and she couldn't help but laugh at the sad sight. With a small shove, moved him out of the way, and the man kept going, falling backwards until he toppled over himself. Shaking her head in disappointment at such infinite weakness, she moved on, and took a seat on another bench, getting comfy, to just sit and think for a while.

Looking upwards, the woman cocked an eyebrow. She didn't seem to notice his tone at all, and shook her head, going back to her silent thoughts.

Her thoughts finally took rest, and as they did, Willow's attention turned towards the one who was next to her. Her eyes remained close however... She had never needed her eyes to analyze much anyways. Her ears did most of the work, and sense of smell..the rest. She had already guessed he wasn't human, by cocky attitude he seemed to have...and the fac that she didn't feel the urge to punch his nose in yet. If he had been human...best not to go into details. She didn't like arrogance, to say the least. Suddenly she opened her eyes and took out a lighter from her jeans pocket. She flicked it on, and stared at the flame. She took her hand off the button, but the flame seemed to remain, even though the lighter was no longer supplying the gas it needed. She needed practice with her abilities, and since she couldn't summon anything here out in the open...she'd have to settle for a small lighter.
