Tomorrow The Asgardian nodded at Bren's talk of his grandmother. "I've only just started to learn a bit of magic myself...like most things, it'll come to you, i think. You come from a family of great magicians, i get the feeling it's in your blood..."He smiled as the boy spoke of such sports. "...I've done quite a lot of things in my life, son, that would be considered....very unethical. Some of those come close to the highs you speak of....but nothing comes from fighting. The surge of adrenaline...is unlike anything else. The pain that comes from it..." He visibly shivered at the thought, before blushing slightly. "...I can only think of one other thing that comes close..."He shook his head and cleared his throat. He wouldn't be going into that with the kid. "...Do you know how to fight, son? You're obviously very athletic..."" Not more than a bit of street fighting, I can properly hold a knife or a gun... but I haven't had much use for either and fist fighting just seems like a waste of time when it is easier to avoid most fights with the dumb asses I have had to deal with." Bren shook his head as he stood again, stretching a bit before slowly walking around the bike, his eyes taking in all the special modifications that had been made to the frame and engine to allow for that amazing towing capacity.

HonoRaven " Not more than a bit of street fighting, I can properly hold a knife or a gun... but I haven't had much use for either and fist fighting just seems like a waste of time when it is easier to avoid most fights with the dumb asses I have had to deal with." Bren shook his head as he stood again, stretching a bit before slowly walking around the bike, his eyes taking in all the special modifications that had been made to the frame and engine to allow for that amazing towing capacity. John nodded slowly. "Mmm....perhaps that is for the best....no need for you to risk hurting yourself over meaningless squabble..."He was happy the boy knew not to throw himself into battle so needlessly. Perhaps John could learn a thing or two from the kid...

Tomorrow The CT machine began to hum and whirr, pulsing radio waves into his head as the images began to show on the radiologist's screen. The old doctor leaned back in his chair, tapping a few buttons to make the images appear on the screen one after the other like a mosaic. He shook his head slowly - spiderwebs of thick white lines filled the brain case within the brain. He let forth a heavy sigh, looking up to Dr. Grace as he whispered to her. "...Don't let the girl know this...but...his scarring is worse then when he came in. You managed to get the bullet out, but his synapses have not been recovering like they should be..."He lifgted his pen to the screen. "Here, here and here....these scars are thicker then last time. Something he does or something he's done has been making them tear open again and again, but his healing factor doesn't heal them completely, they just keep rescarring..."" Damn... no, I know you are good at this, but look that" She tapped a slivered image. " ..that is not just scar tissue! We bloody well missed some of that damn bullet, and I will have a hell of a time finding a surgeon to dig them out... but I do have another very good healer to help me try and fix him up again!" Grace looked out at the red and black haired woman who was leaning against the empty gurney, hoping that Hono Raven would be able to pull herself together enough to help her heal the man.. help her fix some of that scar tissue... without her having to call in Verandi to boost her power.

" More than that... I have an idea how I can get those bullet fragments out if you can get someone to just cut a nice hole in his thick skull." Raven's voice had a growling tone to it that made the nurse and the orderly jump a bit as the tiny woman looked across the room at the pair of doctors. She had heard them quite clearly... her senses were all on overload, she was almost shaking with the need to do something... to use some of this power that she had taken when she was already quite full from her regular feedings. She could almost feel the different powers within her, stirring and shifting as the new power tried to overwhelm all the others... but there was more than one godly power within that small frame, and it did not just fold against the press of electricity.

So thusly, John was whisked from the CT room down into Ops. His head was shaved, his golden locks falling down around the bed he'd been placed on, still very asleep from the spell Hono'o had cast on him.
The surgeon walked into the room to check his skull, tutting a little as he saw the scars around his head. "Going for another tango in here, hmm? Lets hope its for the last time." He looked over to Hono'o. "I sure hope you know what you're doing, Miss Raven....this isn't like setting bones or sewing up wounds...you're messing with his head."
He was a brave man, saying such things to Hono'o...but he had to reiterate just how serious this type of thing was.

" All I have is an idea... but I know that even if I shove a blade into his brain and swish it around in an attempt to scramble him like an egg... if I push the magic fast enough to heal the instant after the cut that the damage will not only not scar, but it will actually force true regeneration if we push the healing all through his body so that his body kicks into high gear all on it's own." Little sparks flew from the end of her hair she she moved in so she could see what they were doing. Grace nodded, understanding the idea. " The reason for the scaring is that the he healed himself, but not quite fast enough to keep a bit of the brain matter from dying before it had healed the wound itself... if that happens again and again you get all that scar tissue that we saw on the scans... It could work, it really could! But how are you going to get the bullet fragments out? The last time we had to use a telekinetic to pull them out, even exhausted he still has enough electricity in him to fry a human." " I'm going to use and electromagnet." She pulled a little round magnet out of her claudical space, and a bit of copper wire... quickly winding the wire through the hole in the middle of the magnet. " And I get to be the electric part... So after you cut him open I need you all to get the metal tools to the other side of the room right away!"

The surgeon sighed, hanging his head. "It all sounds nuts...but then, i removed tiny moray eels from a swimmer's heart the other day by placing tubes of salt water over them so they swam away from the heart and into a sack of blood, so i guess its not that nuts..."
So then they were in the operating room. Scrubbed up and ready to rock and roll. The surgeon looked down at the circular saw in his hands, pulling the trigger to watch the thing spin up - before looking over to the women. "Okay...no key-hole this time. I'm gonna take the top of his skull off...expose the brain completely. That should give you more to work with."
He began the initial cut just above the forehead, cutting all around the head before finishing off. Blood trickled down around the ring as he placed the saw down before grasping the big man's skullcap, pulling it off slowly with a sickening pop. Beneath was the Aesir's pink brain, pulsing and glistening wetly, covered in tiny white lines which seemed to spiderweb over the pinkness. To a layman, it would look like his brain was cracked.
The surgeon stepped back. "Better move fast..."

Grace was already muttering prayers under her breath, slowly strengthening herself and then John as she made sure that Hono was working.
Raven stepped in close holding the magnet in one hand and placing the other on John's forehead above the oozing cut where his scull had been a moment before... and then she pushed power into the copper wire, only just thinking slightly about how and electromagnet was supposed to work... she didn't really understand any of it, all she really understood was that electricity made magnets supper powerful... powerful enough to rip those bits of metal out of his brain as she poured healing magic into him at the same time, listening to Eir chant in ancient Norse.
They were both focusing on his brain alone, pouring healing energy into it in the hopes of making it instantly heal he damage done by the tiny flecks of metal that literally flew in bloody spatters towards the magnet.

There was a moment as the electromagnet flared to life - before two tiny pieces of metal suddenly flew out of the pink matter to smack into the metal she was using as a magnet - before a scalpel suddenly flew across the room to dig into John's torso, quivering as the magnet in Hono'o's hand continued to pull on it.
The nurse blinked at the scalpel - before shrieking in pain as a pair of forceps slammed into her back, digging deep into her shoulder-blade. All the medical implements began to scatter on their respective trays, the trays rattle on the racks as Hono'o's little magnet began to draw them across the room, clattering across the room to slam into the bed, the implements digging into john's body, trying to get to the magnet in her hand.
She wielded the power of a god without knowing how to use it.

Raven shut down her magnet, even dropping it back into her claudical space so that it could no longer affect anything else in the room... and now she could focus on that pink matter, and the tiny bits of gray that needed to be... fixed!

HonoRaven Raven shut down her magnet, even dropping it back into her claudical space so that it could no longer affect anything else in the room... and now she could focus on that pink matter, and the tiny bits of gray that needed to be... fixed! As soon as the magnet was gone the metallic objects stopped writhing towards it like they were on a slope and an earthquake was tossing them towards it - a few of the utensils were left quivering out of John's left side, leg and even one in his neck, some buried almost all the way through in an effort to dig through his skin and muscle to get to the source of the magnetic force - but now their forward progress had halted, and one of the nurses began to withdraw the scapels and forceps and clamps from his side and leg as Hono'o began to do her thing...

Grace and Raven concentrated on healing the damage that had been done by the magnet, Hono using the extra power she had gained from draining him to try and fix his damaged brain while Grace mended the wounds on his body while keeping his skull from trying to heal itself over the unprotected brain.

Hono'o weilded her magic over him, the crisscrossing crack-like lines in his brain beginning to fade slowly as she worked her mojo...but the damage was only being healed faster then normal, and the scarring process still occurred. The brain was a complex organism to begin with, and adding in John's own unique physiology, there was no telling whether this was commonplace or perhaps the effects of something else...
"Thats enough! We can't have his brain exposed for this long without proper prepping!" The surgeon said urgently. "Put the brain-cap back on, heal him up, and we'll see just how much of his is left in recovery..."

"Shut up..." Her voice was low and growling, a predator with her prey in sight... she didn't want to give up, didn't want to admit that she couldn't fix this... Raven hated coming across something that she couldn't heal!
"Hono... please, it is not working as well as you had hoped and there will be more damage if you keep this up!" Grace's voice was low and calm, but the half elf did not move from her place beside John, didn't even try to look the shorter woman in the eye at the moment. "Please, you got the metal out... that will help a lot I am certain!"
With a shuddering breath Raven closed her eyed and stalked away so she could lean her head against a dark wall trying to regain her composure as Grace put the skull cap back in place, having the surgeon hold it in place as she chanted healing spells to fix the bone and skin back into place as if they hadn't taken the top of his head off.

The case was back on, his brain had been fixed - somewhat - and now he slept. And slept. And slept.
They wheeled him out of the OR and into recovery, hooking IV drips full of nutrients and antibiotics into his arm and legs, a tube going down his throat to help him breath. He simply lay there, like a massive supine statue, not even snoring, just sleeping.
Slowly, his hair grew back. It took a full two days, but it grew back like it had never been cut back before. Long golden locks, luscious and thick, curling at first from his head like one of those chia-pets, where you plant the sprouts and watch them curl out of the seeds. His beard grew as well, becoming disturbingly long by the end of the first day, then quite thick at the end of the second.
On the third day he made his first movement. His right fist clenched and his brow furrowed, then he relaxed again. He did it twice more before the day was through. The doctors figured he was ready to breath on his own then, removed the breathing tubes, and upped his antibiotics.
On the fourth day he opened his mouth and spoke in his sleep. "...Baby..." He breathed softly. "...Hono'o..."
On the fifth day he mumbled something in a language nobody on the staff knew, but was known as Nordic, and he spoke of something to do with a wolf.
On the sixth day he finally opened his eyes. It was nighttime and the room was dark. He peeled his eyes open and looked at the ceiling for a while, feeling disjointed and not himself. He didn't know where he was or what had happened. His eyes rolled around the room, trying to see something familiar to ground himself to, like a baby chick trying to get its bearings for the first time,
