Daz blew breath out of one corner of his mouth, "Well it never was a problem. None of us where related to begin with, and no one wnated to marry a brother or a sister. It was only in this generation" He pointed to the pups, "That we started getting cousins and relatives."
Eliot perked up a bit. "You know i really like that Idea, its sorta like we're sisters! I donno if Warren even likes me though Aella. But maybe someday."
Kat looked at hom with the obvious question on her face. "Hey buddy, you can't start to say something liek that and then stop. So "I bet, huh" what?" She would have put her hands on her hips but she didn't want to look rude.

She actually laughed. "Somehow, that's the answer I expected. Or at least something like it." Here tears had stopped threatening to tumble, and outside the wind howled, rain pattering agianst the keep with a continual droning noise. Meilikki loved this atmosphere.
"Some primitive cultures believe the eyes are the window to the soul, and thus leave them hollow in carvings and paintings to avoid being used through the manifestations of their eyes. Are my windows closed, Tarathiel?"
"Pretty once? They aren't pretty now?" With anything else, she wouldhave reached out to feel just how pretty or not pretty sometihng was, but then you don't just blindly try to touch someone's eyes, do you?

"No, I think I can see your soul quite well through your magical orbs."
"I had just killed the general of the Destroyed Kingdom, and for a brief moment my eyes were pure Lavender." The drow paused, "I think I was born with lavender eyes, but somehow they changed redish."
"Then again, when I am in the normal light spectrum, my eyes are Amber. I have a quasi-magical type of night vision that apparently changes the colour. Since my people don't use natural light beyond the dorms of Wizarding Schools, I simply accept that colour as the normal colour."
"So, do you think that if I took everyone to the Lich, he would send someone here for you?"

Malik disregarded the children..and yes he considered the imps children, and turned hsi thoughts to other things, in fact nodding to teh rest and walking out to Nightmare in teh stables, who gave a snort in greeting and he gave her a nod. conversation in shadows between them both, discussing things that he was thinking, and what he might do.
Onyx was in his room, just..staring. Trying to enhance his power still, trying to push past the barrier he coudl feel stopping him from greater power. not that it woudl help. he just wasn't capable of great feats of power. which was in turn breeding itself into resentment and anger again toward his parents. why. why had he been given only this..joke. this slap in the face hint of power from parents who strode in thier power like collosus.
A growl, focusing the power into a red sphere, and just flinging it out the window, watching as it hit a tree and set it on fire.
"Damn them. damn them both."

She smiled. "Good. I was afraid for a moment that I had lost it." She nodded against him, someone relieved that he hadn't yet pulled away. Yes, she knew about that, didn't she? Course, she didn't know what he was thining at the time, or what the general was thinking, or any such emotional or internal things. She didn't get to see those parts.
"You're eyes are like oples. Altohugh I daresay they aren't white, are they?" No, she hadn'tf orgotten what white look like at all....after all it had only been twenty years since she last saw anything....wait...maybe she had...
Agian with this distrubing topic. She cleared her throat. "It's possible. But He mgiht be more inclined toc ome and...get me himself. Dimitri was a do it yourself kind of guy."

"Opal..." Like the skin of high elves.
"I figured as much, but this man seems limited to his own realm..."
"Dimitri?" That name seemed familiar. "Oh right. Common name in these parts?"

Rorake nodded his head, understanding. "It couldn't have gone much further Daz, without others of your kind. What were these other packs I here you speak of? Are they also escapees from the Corn Fields?"
She smiled. "If I knew Warren, I would tell you. But yeah. I never had a sister. It's kind of neat."
Moosntone mumbled under his breath, "I said I bet that you could.." and he mumbled the rest of the sentence. He wasn't very keen on finishing it either, as it made him sound like he had made soem sort of decision, which he wasn't sure he wanted to know if he had made yet.
From the floor, big green eyes watched Onyx with a tilted head. Why are you throwing fire around? You know, that usually makes things catch fire. He chittered and barked at the vah, waving his tail.

"Opal."
"He's not limited, he's planning something. He's been planning for years. He catptured me, then let me go for a reason. He hasn't come get me yet for a reason. He captured that little conduit child, and Warren, for a reason. I just don't know what it is, which is very unsettling."
She shrugged. "Well, it is the same family. Inherit the name of the father kind of thing."

"I was named after a father of one of my siblings, I think." Tarathiel scratched his head, "There were so many of them I can't recall if there were any that actually fathered more than one child. I think one of my Brothers actually is a step father too..." Tarathiel shivered.
"Sorry, memory of my closest of kin, if you know what I mean."
"I hope those boys are doing what I told them, or I'll have to kill them. I don't like killing my family, but they must understand that I am in control. Ad'non is not so bad, but the fighters are very rowdy."
"Why am I talking about my family? Oh, did you know that the Sons of Dominia have an unofficial code of conduct. We are not to stab each other in the back or while sleeping. If we did, we would quickly find ourselves all dead. Our sisters gain a burst of power from sacrificing us."
"Just another example of how sick and twisted my mother is. And Lolth. Or the other mother... My actual father was a general in the war against the High Elves. He made my mother proud and won the right to father me. Then, he died. I never meet him, he died before I was born."

"Well, at least you know who your family is, that's nice. I never knew my father, he died shortly after coupling with my mtoher. Which I think was actually mother's doing. Then mother died when she handed Tanundra to me. I lost my sight, gained my gift and curse. I have no siblings." She didn't relaly regret any of that though. As much as she might like seeing the future, she tried not to copmplain about her little lot in life. Why bother?
"Do you still have to worry then, about being stabbed in the back, or in your sleep? Since you sleep with so much...protection. When you do sleep that is." She had a suspiction that he got less sleep than she did, but then agian he didn't need as much.

"Any drow who can sleep well at night is dead." Tarathiel said with great certainty. "I am still weary of assassination when no one but me knows my exact location, I have used several strong shields to prevent my location from being detected and I have six spell doubles who are also acting in my behavioural pattern, also using spell shields and the like."
"I am worth alot dead. And alive. And in bed."
"I sell my hair for Items of power more valuable than the whole of Deep Water several times over."
"Being a demi-god has a few advantages and disadvantages. Like being raped by a sibling because she would be the mother of Lolth's grandchild, hopefully a daughter."
"Yeah."
"Being a Drow is great."

"Would a peaceful night be welcome?" Simple question, but perhaps a deep one. After all, she couldn't sleep for fear of waking up, and hadn't had a peacefull ngiht since Warhammer had let her dream in Tarathiel's cabin.
"You're worth alot to me. But I don't need you dead, or in bed." She did of course, want him to be alive.
She reached out and ran her fingers down his hair, stopping when she felt no more. "See now, there was something I didn't know. How long was your hair before?"
"Being a Drow is just as great as being an Oracle, or a mage. Or I could argue a human, or a vah, or a conduit, or an elf. We all find those things which we hate about ourselves, and wish we were another." She shrugged, she didn't want to just push aside Tarathiel's problems, liek they didn't mean anything, but she didn't know how to reaspond to that. He brought it up at odd times, which meant it always plagued him. "Is there anythign I can do for you?"

"Actually, I don't know." Tarathiel smiled.
"My hair used to reach my anckles." The elf chuckled.
"No, I think I am better off as a Drow. I don't have your visions or visions of the Drow amassing an army to come and burn my lands into a smultering ruin for no better reason than... Actually, I forget if we ever had a reason to do that. We don't really take prisioners, and we don't really need anything from those lands... Its like we are killing because killing is what drow do."
"No, for the most part I am just suffering prolonged memories of school. Sleeping was generally a bad thing. Usually Drow didn't wake up. I think... Just kidding. We all know I don't think."

She laughed. "Impressive." She couldn't remeber a time when her hair was long. She was farily certian it had been the same length since it had reached that far.
"Sometiems I wish I were a regular human. But then I wouldn't have met you, now would I?"
"You fear not waking up, I fear waking up. Fits, doesn't it? Although somewhat ironically."
