Black would be the obvious answer, especially if the crew and passengers all sport NV goggles.

Black is rather boring and I want to avoid Blackhawk Down like the plague. talk2hand

Then paint it with heavy camo. From the overside, paint it to match teh ground, possibly a city or grassland color tone. From the underside, paint it a mottled gray and white to make a sky scheme. Paint it to be hard to see.

Extra fuel tanks mounted on the wings would be another obvious solution to be able to insert your troops farther behind enemy lines (fluffwise).

I've already given it extra sensors under the cockpit, a Land Speeder Storm sensory suite to the left cheek and an extra antenna on the nose. Colour wise I might just paint it the same Middlestone as the rest of my wing, keeping things cohesive, perhaps with special decals.

Bottom camo is a good idea. Make all the undersides sky blue or white.

Crivens, I've already got enough trouble painting up the models and here we go throwing more on my plate. Do you have any idea how hard it is to paint white / sky blue? gonk

Use a spray or lots and lots of thinned down coats over a good solid base colour. wink

I really want to start a Guard army now, but I don't play 40k too much these days...
I'll have some looks on eBay.

I actually have a Valk with a cammo scheme for urban ops here. Though you might consider putting black on the underbelly.

underbelly of the aircraft is usually light grey/blue to blend in with sky when seen from the surface...

When in the desert they used sky blue for the underside of an aircraft. I think that Osprey might actually be of great help to you on this one.

Box of Kasrkin with power weapon, grenade launcher and flamer: 185 points! gonk

Expensive, but hopefully they won't disappoint. I'm torn between giving them Airborne Assault and Behind Enemy Lines though. I like to see them deep strike safely to the ground, but I also like the idea of them pinning down foes with some clever infiltration.

Choices choices choices! 4laugh

You could always swap the sergeant and two assault weapons for three more hellgun armed models, thus saving you twenty points (I think) and giving you more hell to shoot around with.

I refuse to call them hot-shots. I refuse.
