Tac faded in in a shooting stance and opened fire with both weapons, widely missing Johnathan as he was in target practice, but as soon as he saw the beast rushing towards Cora he didn't waste another moment, turning his weapons to open fire on Johnathan. ******** any possibility that he wasn't aiming to eviscerate her, he looked threat enough to be put down three times over and then burned for the hell of it.

:::Cora suddenly gained her footing back, and realized that when he said run, he meant RUN. She waiting till he got close enough, then cut around him, knowing his momentum wouldn't allow him to turn fast enough to catch her, that's when she saw Tac, firing bullets:::

*The bullets hit Johnathan, but didn't seem to phase him until he came to a complete stop, sliding into chairs and stools, hitting against the bar. He looked over towards Tac and roared, leapng up on the bar to use it as a jumping point to leap towards Tac and into a four legged run.*

Tac blinked as he saw Cora duck out of Johnathan's way, then twitched as he saw the beast turn on him. What a wonderful time to leave all your clips in your locker and have nothing but 9mm ball rounds. He looked over to Cora, "RUN! Don't stop, just go!" He looked around and patted himself down, looking for anything to use to stop this beast, his hand found a single incindiary grenade on his belt, and typical, it had to be the one he could never get off his belt.

:::She saw that Johnathan's focus was no longer on her, and she stopped where she was, disobeying the order to run yet again:::
:::She yelled to Tacitus::: Don't hurt him! He's a human! It's Johnathan!! :::Just then she got an idea...she'd been through all this before, a couple times. Hopefully, what worked last time would work again. She reached into her utility belt and pulled out her trusty administrator. And began looking for the tranquilizer:::

*Johnathan descended upon Tac, now within range to tackle him to the ground, doing just that. He threw all his weight at the man, bringing him to the floor, which was surely accompanied by the crack of a bone or two. Johnathan went into a roll off of Tac to get up and have a better angle for gutting him.*

The wind was just blown out of Tac at the impact, and as he was crushed into the floor he felt at least one rib crack, and likely something else. When the beast's weight left him he found that the weight had broken the strap holding the grenade to his belt clean off. With a look back to Cora he leaped at the beast as he pulled the pin, pulling his trenchcoat around him with his free hand to find at least some protection.

:::Cora finds a vial holding tranquilizer, and loads it into the administrator. She is entirely unknowing of what Tacitus has just accomplished. She clicks the impact release, aims, and throws it straight at the softest spot...the belly:::

*As the flames errupt around him he throws the smaller man away from him, trying to put out the flames that are now covering his fur covered body, yelping all the while. The tranq hits not his belly, but gets caught in his flailing trenchcoat that still clings to his body, made of a flame retardent material, only pircking him in then slightest once before he roars once at Cora and begins to rush off into the darkness to discard his clothing and stop the flames. He's be gone before he could finish.*

Tac is thrown back as the grenade explodes and the beast flings him away, hair sizzling as the top of his head and hair were charred, thought the horns seemed to actually be clean for once. He lay on the ground broken and battered, hair smoking and trenchcoat royally ******** over, though he had enough energy to look over to Cora, "You.....ok?"

:::She's starting to prepair multiple drugs, while speaking to him:::
You unleashed some sort of incidiary weapon?? What were you thinking, my tranquilizer would have hit him... Oh goodness, you've got breaks. :::She inspects his body just a bit further before going back to prepairing treatments:::
That was Johnathan...I don't know what happened to him. I can't begin to imagine what it is this time...a taint, or a demon, or he's naturally like that... One moment he was reprimanding me for abandoning the law, and the next we was transforming into that creature.
:::She had one dose ready, and put it to the side. She reached over and began removing his tattered coat. She pushed up his shirt sleeve and gave him the first dose:::
:::She continued ranting, as she prepaired the other treatments, and didn't stop until he had at least three or four different things in him. Only then did she finally stop for a moment...:::
Well, at least you're not bleeding uncontrolably...no concusions...
:::She wanted to throw her arms around him, but she knew that wouldn't help the broken bones much:::

Tac smirked at her concern, he had come to expect it, and it was comforting. Groaning while she spoke he laid his head back down until she was done, carefully sitting up and put his arms around her instead, "You worry too damn much. Whatever is wrong with...Johnathan will work itself out in time. Things always do. ugh..." He slowly went back down, "I'll be ok, just need to like find a bed. Heh...usually I have to get you to a bed. Hell, maybe we can talk for a bit."
((and because I can and I'm that awesome))
Cora retrieves Tac's key and moves him to his room.
