Liam nodded a bit stiffly, turning around to continue down the tunnel, his hands pressed against each side of the wall for support. "Keep an eye behind us... if someone comes up from the front, I'll try to take them by surprise... if I don't manage to, it's up to you and your cubone, mmk?" he murmured softly, trying to keep the tension out of his voice. This was crazy. What were they doing in here anyway?!

((Lawl, I posted 'small, miniature sun'.... Small and miniature are completely different, yup! D8

"Ghaaaasss...." Dreydonna said as she released a new Sunny Day attack. Renekai and Dreydonna had been stumbling (or floating, in 'Donna's case) for a long time, and the old Sunny Day attack was fading. With a new, strong orb and a weak one, the going was easier. "Thanks, 'Donna," Renekai whispered. Despite the quietness of her voice, it echoed around the tunnel spookily. In her bag, Renekai felt Bell's pokeball wiggling for the third time. Bell was trying to get out, but she was still sealed in. Oh well; Bell wouldn't have been able to fit at Renekai's side anyway; the tunnel was too narrow. And there was no question of walking behind Renekai; it was too dangerous if there was an emergency.

Renekai flinched a bit, thinking that she heard the thunderous roars from earlier again. She shook off the feeling, telling herself to worry about her own problems first. The tunnel in front of her twisted sharply, leaving the next corner hidden. Renekai stopped, suddenly nervous. As soon as motion ceased, Renekai's fears crept up on her. She kept looking over her shoulder, expecting to see an unknown attacker. She squinted as hard as she could at the bend, but the path was invisible. Was a Rocket there, waiting to attack? Renekai's heat gave a sudden jolt as she heard a noise, but it was only some water dripping onto the floor.

"Ghaaaasss...." Dreydonna said, nudging Renekai gently to get her to move on.

"R-right..." Renekai said, almost too quietly to be heard. Adrenaline pumping and breath coming quick and shallow, Renekai stepped around the corner to find-- nothing. The tunnel went on. "Right..." Renekai continued down the path.

The freakyness of Ryou's floating eyes and rings had worn off a long time ago for his trainer, as it was a nightly occurrence for him. "Yeah, same here," he admitted, although he was still absolutely paranoid. "At least nothing can sneak up on us, especially with Ryou." He was completely ignorant of the fact that several trainers had run into large, unhappy, and hostile pokemon.

He was also ignorant of the fact that Ryou was carefully floating a small container from his bag, and the umbreon pulled it over to Con and himself with his psychic energy. He swiftly pulled the cover off and floated a sandwich in front of the houndoom, and took the other for himself. Damn, only two left. "(Such a brave soldier you are, Con, taking on the mighty and powerful ham sandwich-monsters.)" It was a ridiculous conversation they were having, but he figured they needed it. He knew neither of them had the slightest interest in being anywhere near a cave, especially one that used to be a mine, and even moreso because it had Rockets and revived pokemon in it. Not a good combination.

Which way they should go? Well... "Uhh.... Left?" He suggested with a shrug. Anything was better than nothing, he supposed. "C'mon Ryou, we're heading into one of the tunnels now." He wasn't sure if Alastair didn't care if they went left or if he was morally opposed to it, and he didn't know why in the world the other trainer would be, but he awaited a response all the same.

Arin nodded, her breathing heavy. She would rather just ignore the fact that they could be jumped and attacked at any moment. She really wasn't that helpful, considering how little she had trained Hush- though the digging the night before had probably made her a bit stronger.

"Kay." She said, though her voice was breathless and quiet. She was still scared, despite having another person there with her. She just hoped they would be somewhere bigger soon..

User ImageKayla released her hold of Fin's hand and smiled. "We both scared each other." Kayla paused before continueing. "Yeah, it's best we try to stick together. This place is pretty dark and all. I'll bet--"

As the two pokemon were getting to know each other, suddenly, they heard a scream of what sounded like panick which was followed by another sound. Kayla whipped her head towards the tunnel and attempted to listen carefully. If she listened closely, she could make it as 'stannnt'. There was only one trainer who she knew had a stantler and it was Meeka!

"Oh no!" Kayla's eyes widen and her hand went to her mouth. "Meeka is in there somewhere. Maybe stuck, attacked or who knows!" Kayla looked back at Fin. "Let's go find Meeka. I would hate to be stuck in here and not find a way out."

Meeka clinged back to Ebba. Just the comfort of his fur relaxed her. But her stomach jumped once more and tears flowed again and it soaked into Ebba's pelt. When would help arrive? When would it!?

Trist snorted and then started heading down one of the tunnels. At least Arashi could see that much before he disappeared into it.

“Whoah! Wait!”

He hurried after his girafarig, wondering what had caused him to pick this tunnel. Somewhere down it, he thought he could hear someone. Keeping one hand on the right side of the wall, he called out for whoever could hear.

“Hello! Anyone?!”

Trist was snorting, muttering ‘far’ to himself a few times. He had heard the outcry of ‘Staaaaaan!’ when Arashi himself had not.

Fluo was still lost. The other trainers seem to be having more fun. She made up her mind. As soon as she was out of this earthen tomb she would fly a kite. She was going to spend quality time in the air just to make up from her time in the mines. Claustrophobia was still one of the things she was working on. Juggling the red crystal source of light, she laughed. Alphaville looked a bit like the Kool-Aid man with the red shining on him. Sighing, she trekked on, hoping to run in with another trainer. Maybe they would have food..

User ImageFin jumped at the screams coming from down the tunnel. Someone was in trouble! Kayla apparently knew this person. Fin nodded as the other girl suggested going to help her. "Right, let's go! We leave no trainer behind!"

Alastair put a hand on Kazuki’s shoulder, silently hoping that the shorter trainer wouldn’t completely freak out at the physical contact. It was always hard to tell with Kazuki… “Ah, don’t worry about it… we’ll get out of here soon. I’ve got a good memory. And, even if I end up getting us even more lost, we’ve got Con. Houndooms are amazing trackers. He can help us backtrack.”

Left, huh? Sure, why not? It was better than staying in one place. Except… there were a lot of rocks littering the ground and, in accordance to the laws of the universe----especially the Law of Pain, which stated, ‘When walking in darkness, your toes shall be mashed by furniture, rock, or whatever happens to be convenient; it does not matter how familiar you are with the area you are in. It will happen anyway’)----Alastair stubbed his toe against a conveniently placed rock. Painfully. Especially since it was on his foot that had already been injured a day or two ago. “Ah! F…” needless to say, the next few things that left Alastair’s mouth were not fit for the ears of young children or old women. “--- IN A BUCKET!!”

Con looked over towards Alastair, briefly concerned. But, he eventually decided it was no big worry. If Alastair had been really injured, he wouldn’t be cursing. I know, I deserve a badge of honor for this. But, alas. I shall have to suffer and accept a sandwich instead. Hey, it was nice to have a bit of fun, especially at moments like these. We who are about to die will laugh at anything… also eat anything, as Con greedily devoured the ham sandwich, trying to savor the taste of ham. Mmm… so delicious. Truly, it was the food of kings.

Only once the sandwiches were gone did he use Sunny Day to bring a bit of light to the darkness. It wasn’t much---after all, the houndoom wasn’t very good with things that weren’t fire---but it was enough to lend a small bit of light. At least enough that the Law of Pain need not apply.

Meeka yipped up at the voice. Arashi?! This just filled her with content. Finally, help! "Meeka!" she called out. Meeka is here, Meeka is here!" She wiped away her tears, finally....Help!
PostPosted: Thu Aug 07, 2008 10:56 am

User ImageKayla nodded and started the race against time towards the outcrying of 'stannnt'. It was the only thing they could go with. Maybe Meeka was unconcious or too hurt to cry out. More and more thoughts of horror came to mind which only made Kayla run faster. Panting she shouted. "Meek! Ebba! Where are you!?" She hoped that she was heard.

Ebba's belting was getting louder and louder but it seems farther and farther. These stupid tunnels make it soo hard! They tried one direction when they came to a fork but no luck, it was a dead end. They tried another but not good either.

The cries of Ebba kept going and going and it broke Kayla's heart at how it must be for Ebba with a possibly injured trainer.

Lenne followed her path through the mine until she heard sounds echoing from up ahead.

It was either danger, or well, danger in Lenne's case considering she wasn't on any wild pokemon's side and not really any of the group's either.

Deciding against turning back once more, she trudged forward with Piper leading the way.

Carefully they walked, each step making a small echo against the mine walls.
