Sammy, seeing an Umbreon and a Houndour, released Squirt (again) and Comet (Alakazam). Comet attacked by using his ironed tail to whack Houndour, flinging it into the ground, or the… darkness? Anyway, it hurt it. Squirt shot out an awesome Hydro Pump at Houndour, sending it sprawling away, KOed. Umbreon growled, not wanting to fall to the same fate. Umbreon lunged forward, slamming into Comet’s chest with a Faint Attack. He yowled a silent yowl, the attack having been Double effective against him. Comet growled a bit, using Return against the foe by having his trainer’s love flow through him. Squirt used another Hydro Pump, knocking the Umbreon to its knees. It came at Comet with a very weak tackle and he, in turn, whacked Umbreon with his tail, fainting it. Sammy returned her pokemon, going to fight another battle.

The next two pokemon to appear were a Nuzleaf and Sharpedo. Sammy released Donner (Lucario) and Dancer (Bayleef) to fight this one. Sharpedo went first, Crunching down on one of Dancer’s legs. She yipped silently, glaring at the shark. Donner growled, moving his palm across Sharpedo’s forhead with a Force Palm attack. It staggered backwards, wounded. Dancer whipped her bladed leaf to release numerous magical leaves at Sharpedo. They chopped at its skin, rendering it useless and fainted. Nuzleaf gulped, not liking the situation. Nuzleaf pounded at Donner’s skin, hurting him. Donner, in reaction, shot an Aura Sphere at Nuzleaf, doing massive damage. Dancer, wanting this to be over, slammed into Nuzleaf with the full force of her body, fainting it. Sammy returned her pokemon, walking into the darkness yet again.

Ginji sniveled away as he tried to remain strong. Drawing any energy he could, he burst a scream out, trying to penetrate the darkness to no avail. The flames still flickered, but with no sound. The only noises were the sound of the shadows.

Two fire types, both Charmeleons, attacked Ginji with claws, slicing his skin shallowly. He roared in pain as Blastoise appeared and used Surf, KOing the Charmeleons and flickering the flames, though they did not go out.

Two Duskull circled Blastoise, forcing it to retreat for whatever reason. Cyndaquil appeared as it attacked with a Flame Wheel, burning one of the Duskull. The other then attacked with a vicious Night Shade. Cyndaquils flame grew before a Fire Blast burst out, KOing the one Duskull before the other used a Payback. Cyndaquil barely made it back to its feet, scared of what may happen next. Gathering its courage, it attacked with a Flamethrower, KOing the second Duskull.

Solrock and Lunatone appeared next, darkness in their eyes. Cyndaquil had had enough and fled out of fear, which brought out Ginji's 4th Pokemon, Wailord. The giant beast quenched the flames by adding more. One giant Self-destruct took the fire and the Pokemon out of the battle.

The Wailord disappeared inside its ball again before the fires died completely, letting Ginji continue into the darkness.

Adam sighed in relief, feeling good to know his pokemon did well enough without his direction. He recalled both of them, before the flames encircled him. A Houndour dove through the flames, barking silently and menacingly. Adam forwned, Sending out Jack.

Jack Immediatly pumped out a Aqua Jet, knocking Houndour off it's paws. The Houndour attacked, biting down on Jack's haunch. What's a haunch you ask? The butt. in Layman's terms.

Jack attacked again, Aqua Jet again, Ko'ing the demon-dog pokemon. The flames hastily extinguished, As two more pokemon entered the orb's line of light.

Adam Pointed to the Lunatone of the pair, and Jack attacked. Swift-stars bashed into Lunatone, kocking the levitating pokemon back. The rock-moon glared, sending out a Psywave. Jack winced, fur bristling at the psychic onslaught, before firing an Ice beam that KO'd the Lunatune, sending it into the darkness.

Jack turned to the next pokemon, a Misdreavus. Jack tried a Swift, which made Adam slap his forehead. His buizel had never fought ghost types before, and looked in shock as it's attack phased through. Misdreavus attacked with Psybeam, dealing heavy damage.

Jack caught the hint the second time, firing off an Icebeam, which did damage aswell. Misdreavus then used Mean Look, interesting in that Adam was just about to recall Jack. 'come on buddy...' He silently cheered, watching as Jack used Brine. In a critical hit, Misdreavus was KO'd.

Adam hastily returned Jack, who was panting heavily. A last pokemon jumped into sight: Slowpoke. 'Make short work of this Theed' Adam thought, throwing out his Chikorita's pokeball. After momentary confusion, the Chikorita attacked, using a vicious VineWhip for a one-hit KO. He went over and picked up the pokemon, continuing as the light showed him the way.

Sammy looked around, watching the blue orb circle around her rapidly. She saw Darkrai appear, and the pokemon beside him. She sighed; too many pokemon!

”Oh dear…” Felix groaned in a silent voice as he was met face to face with a forest green Darkrai with a Tropius sanding next to it, a fire made pinwheel of multiple shades of green spinning around him and his opponents. With only 4 Pokemon of his own, and one mystery team member that he had just caught in the seemingly endless darkness. This was going to be a rough battle.

Without a moment more of hesitation, Felix began the battle by sending out Dino and Gaku, hoping to clear his path as efficiently as possible. The opposing Darkrai wasting no time putting an Embargo over the team, insuring no healing items would be used. Meanwhile, the Tropius powered itself up for a Solarbeam, a seemingly impossible attack for a such a dreary surrounding.

Gaku, seeing the opponent’s attack being charged, quickly put a damper on the plan further than it already could be, using Rain Dance to slow down the time it took to be at full power, heightening his own speed in the process. Through the recently caused downpour, Dino followed up with his attack, Aerial Acing the Tropius, who flinched from the type advantage, wanting to finish off the obviously weaker Pokemon before working on the ominously green Darkrai.

The second round of attacks began with Gaku speeding across the now slick from rainwater flooring and taking aim with a Signal Beam attack at Tropius, nearly ending it’s time on the field. Unfortunately the attack with immediately countered with a half-powered Solar Beam, that even with it’s disadvantage did a chunk of damage to the little Surskit. Once the Solar Beam died down, Darkrai took no time to stall before using his signature move; Dark Void, sending the already injured Gaku into a deep sleep where it was immediately tortured by unforgiving nightmares, courtesy of the dark Pokemon’s ability. Dino, however, was lucky enough to avoid the attack, following up with another Aerial Ace, taking down the opposing Tropius, leaving only the legendary Pokemon to deal with.

Although the Surskit still had his speed boost working for him, he was still locked in a deep sleep rendering him unable to attack and writhing as if he was in terrible pain. Leaving the earthy colored Dark Pokemon the next to attack. Darkrai began the round with a fierce Dark Pulse, pounding one deep green fist into the floor, shooting off a beam of pure blackness at Gaku, ending his time on the field and causing Felix to return him with a worried expression on his face.

Gaku’s place was quickly refilled on the field with Felix’s Piplup, Mizu as Dino readied Grasswhistle attack, only to be met by a sneak Hypnosis by his opponent, leaving him useless. Mizu, still unable to communicate with her trainer, continued the barrage of attacks going back and forth with a Bubblebeam of her own, barely damaging the green Darkrai, hinting that it had some Grass type in it; the water attack being quickly countered by another Dark Pulse, this time aimed at Dino as it took off a large chunk of his health more slowly being pieced away by Darkrai’s Bad Dreams effect. Two more turned passed with the same effect before Dino was taken down. And Mizu was running out of energy herself, the opposing Darkrai still standing strong.

Luka was next out on the field, a drizzle of rain still in effect causing her speed boost to activate also as she took to the air evading the oncoming Dark Void, which Put Mizu into a deep sleep taking her out with nightmares alone immediately.

Luka’s attack finished up as she slammed atop the Darkrai with Bounce leaving the Darkrai fairly damaged and Felix with one Pokemon left… Without any other options, Felix sent out his newly acquired Pokemon and returned Mizu to her respective ball. Finally getting a good look at his new team member, he realized it was a Sneasel. Dark Pokemon weren’t exactly his forte, but he really couldn’t complain as the lithe little Pokemon used it speed to get a cheap Brick Break on the opponent before it was met by a Dark Pulse, not doing so much damage and giving Luka just enough time to become airborne again. Readying the finishing blow.

The Sneasel seemingly ready to attack again would have but from rotten luck, he was flinching from the latest attack on him. Luka in charge of finishing the battle as she fell not-so-gracefully from the sky, clonking the Darkrai directly on the head and leaving it sprawled out on the floor.

Ginji smirked. "So you're my Darkrai right? Something about splitting and twisting dimensions to get the form you so desire to better guard the Time Gears. But you've failed. So it's now our turn to pick up where you left off." the boy said, not expecting words to come out of his mouth.

"Yes. But you need to be worthy of MY Dark Gear." The Darkrai roared as a Gengar appeared, smiling wryly as it launched a Shadowball at Ginji. The boy's eyes widened as he dodged to the left as he drew in energy from the shadows around him. His powers were back. "Dark Lightning Crash Down!" he called out as His Luxray appeared to help super-charge the attack. The dual attack hurt Gengar pretty badly, having to use Hypnosis to put Ginji in a groggy state before using a Shadow Sneak on Luxray. The electric Pokemon attacked with a Thunder Fang powered by its Life Orb chipping away at its HP.

Gengar roared as it drained the sleeping Ginji with a Dream Eater before getting hit by another Thunder Fang. Ginji woke up quickly as he threw a Ultraball at Gengar. Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, DING!

Darkrai stood on the side, looking eerily impressed. "Now. Face this test!" it yelled as it struck hard with a Dark Pulse. Luxray roared as it fainted, getting switched with Blastoise. Darkrai attacked again, this time with Thunder, the tank barely holding on with its Focus Sash. With a Mirror Coat, Darkrai took a stellar hit before attacking with a Thunderbolt, KOing Blastoise.

Ginji's Shadow Sunkern appeared next. Quick Claw activating, attacking with a Super-Effective and Critical Hit Shadow End, KOing Darkrai.

Darkrai roared as it lost the battle. "Fine. That the Real Dark Gear. Together you will all stand strong, least you be ripped apart by the fabric of the Universe." it said before it disappeared.

Darkrai stared at Adam. "I can see your fears... your insecurities... You shall not prevail." He threw his arm out casting a ring of fire around them, creating a makeshift field.

Adam hopped a step away, avoiding one of the small streams of lava the had poked up. Kahili and Jack stepped up. Adam pointed to the Camerupt, the message clear, take it out first.

Darkrai attacked with shadow ball, nailing Kahili in the shell, sending it sliding towards the wall of fire. Jack caught it with it's teeth, pulling him up. the two nodded to each other, summoning what had to be the biggest Surf attack ever at both Darkrai and Camerupt. The Lava hardened, cooling into what could be mistaken for little barriers. The Camerupt gurgled, buckling at the the attack.

Adam punched the air, happy that the typing arrangement had worked in his favor. Darkrai attacked again, this time with Nightshade on Kahili. The Squirtle retreated into it's shell, KO'd.

Adam called out Blitz, the Trapinch snapped it's jaws at Darkrai tauntingly. Jack attacked, Aqua Jetting it's way into Darkrai. The dark-type barely recoiled, firing off a Dark Pulse into the otter-pokemon.

Adam winced, recalling the buizel. Blitz attacked with Sand Tomb, burying the Darkrai. Though only momentarily. The creature phased through the pile. Adam threw out Theed, the Chikorita swinging it's head leaf around. Darkrai turned it's red eyes towards the Grass-type, Fireblasting it for a fast KO.

Adam 'tchd', throwing out Megiddo. Blitz attacked with Sand Tomb again, to similiar effect, before Megiddo Used Flamethrower at Darkrai. The Legendary looked on it's last leg...
