Rhaim kept his eyes on the woman as she somewhat explained her situation to him. While he wasn't any sort of psychologist it appeared to him that she was just as confused about conversation as he was. Though he supposed that that would make sense given the fact that she wasn't likely used to dealing with anyone of lower rank outside of her squad. At the thought of a squad the boy became more aware of his surroundings and began craning his head around to scan the area. Several seconds after she finished speaking he looked back from his search and raised an eyebrow at the young woman, "Shouldn't your squad be helping you, Miss?"

"My... squad...?" Anlu tilted her head at his inquiry, but then smiled. "Nope, no squad for me. I'm searching for personal reasons, and... well I'm only an addition to a squad if they need me. 'tis the role of a medic nin, after all." She eyed the boy with curiosity then. "I might get a squad, later... to teach, I suppose, but that's only due to the shortage of shinobi and all that. What about you. You're what, a genin, right? Where's your squad?" Should this kid be with his sensei or peers, or something? The forest could be dangerous, sometimes, for the younger people... and even the older ones if they werne't careful.

The Nara pushed up the mess of hair in front of his forehead, revealing the Konoha headband, "Yeah just a genin."
He pondered the thought of her being a medical ninja as he gave her yet another look over. The which was in no way discreet as he lowered and raised his head before settling again on the woman. He was surprised to find that despite what he was used to seeing in the hospital, she didn't give off an aura of a medical professional. With another shorter shrug he answered the rest of her inquiry, "My squad was disbanded a little while ago. I was supposed to get reassigned but I guess the new squad leader has been moved to a different division."
The boy shifted his weight to his right leg as he scratched the back of it with his left foot, "Every day I check they tell me that they don't have any available captains. So I'm sort of stuck in limbo."

"Oh, that's a shame..." It was never fun to disvand... especially when you've gotten used tothe styles of your team mates and such. He seemed to be persistant, though... checking every day like he said he did. She could think of several genin who would take advantage of their new freedom. "I see. I haven't checked in a few days... busy at the hospital and all, though... now that you've mentioend it, I should check and see if I've been assigned to anyone. That would be interesting, don't you think?" She turned and started walking in the direction of the village, then, her project now forgotten.

Rhaim continued to look back at the young woman with an indifferent attitude and his hands in his pockets. Given that he had still to check in with anyone that day, the boy decided that coming in behind a senior ranking shinobi was likely to produce better results than showing up by himself. At very least he would have a warm and fuzzy that the staff was actually paying attention to the issue presented to them. Without a word the genin fell in line behind the female and followed her along towards the Hokage Tower.

[Enter from 1st Platoon Area] CP: 200/280
Rhaim felt that his training on a technique that required a sizable amount of land was a bit troublesome for the rest of the platoon shinobi. So the best course of action that he could conceive was to head out and away to continue the kekkai hojin elsewhere. Once he was a good ways away from the populated area of the village, the Nara took himself off of the path into the wood line. He deliberately did not seek out a clearing so that he could test whether or not the barrier encampment needed line of sight to activate. The teen kept his pack on his back as he made his way around, setting the training aids down in a generally square pattern. The idea that it could be used in any shape was still one that seemed much more useful to him.

Rhaim was fairly well baffled when he made an attempt to cross through the barrier and found that nothing came of it. A quick scan of the training devices gave him an immediate answer as to why, that he did not like. Instead of placing the bomb tag training aids in the formation, he had managed to put down four scrolls instead. The boy let out a sigh at himself for wasting his own time with nothing to show for his efforts. He cracked his neck to either side before reaching back into his pack and retrieving the actual devices. He made sure to inspect each one deliberately to ensure that he didn't make the same stupid mistake again. Satisfied, he went about to all four of the scrolls and replaced them with the proper items so that he could continue his training on the Kekkai Hojin.

Rhaim stepped over the threshold of the barrier encampment technique and watched as all four bomb tag training pieces lit up to indicate the presence of his chakra. As before they did not glow bright enough to set off an actual exploding tag, which he was starting to appreciate. If the jutsu were to fully activate when he or an ally moved into its' field than it would be a far less effective tool. As it was though, the boy could begin to set up strategies for how to best employ the technique. Obviously he considered that it would be most optimal to use it in a defensive mode rather than trying to use it offensively. It took too long for him to set up and covered too wide of a distance for him to move along effectively. Plus it would be hard for him to even use Shunshin to do so and keep an enemy in place long enough.
All of the thoughts raced through his head as he stepped back out and into the trap again.

Rhaim once again found that the barrier reacted properly to his movements through it. Though in all actuality he was not surprised in the least since he hadn't actually moved the positions of the tags. It was however nice to have confirmation that multiple sides of the area would react just as efficiently. The teen placed his right hand in his pocket and went around to the four tags, moved them in varying directions of varying distances. While he was glad to have the uneven terrain to confirm that the chakra 'line' was not based on a line of sight, he still needed to completely verify what his limits on shape and size were. It would be better for him to notify his squad leader that he couldn't secure a certain sized area than to give a false sense of security and be killed for it later.

Rhaim could definitely begin to feel the drain on his chakra as he continued to let it be active for the sake of the bomb tags. Unfortunately it wasn't exactly necessary as he had placed the tags too far apart for them to be tripped by his movements. He had also managed to overlook the fact that since he had not moved the four of them in an organized manner he had no way of knowing which one really was the cause of his failure. With a sigh the boy set off to each of the four tag training aids again to move them all in slightly closer. He couldn't believe that he had made such a novice mistake so late in the game. Though he by no means thought of himself as a good ninja, he did think that he was beyond such errors in the jutsu learning process. It wasn't his first one after all.
Once completed with resetting the tags he walked through the barrier again.

Rhaim was pleased and none too shocked with the positive outcome of his most recent attempt to set up the barrier encampment technique. Moving all four tags in a little had obviously been the ticket and by the strength of the tags' glowing he figured he was right about at the limit of the size of the area. His next move was to place the tags in a manner that kept the same amount of surface area but stretched out the legs of one side while shorting the legs of the other. Though there were only so many options available with four bomb tags, he needed to know just what he could and couldn't do. He was finally getting back into his trouble shooting, trail and error grove. So long as his errors weren't made from being stupid he was willing to make unsuccessful barriers all day.

Rhaim walked across the invisible line that defined the edge of the barrier to find that it reacted in the exact same way as the previous trial. This was interesting information for the child considering it told him that so long as the surface area for four tags remained the same, terrain and shape did not matter. His mind raced as he considered if it would make any difference to the distance and surface area if he introduced more tags in the perimeter. Or if perhaps his ability to control his chakra could improve the maximum allowable distance of any two tags. All the while he moved to each tag in turn, taking them from the ground and placing them instead higher on a tree trunk or shrub. He was now curious as to what affect height had on the technique.

Rhaim was both impressed and pleased to find that he could also set the perimeter of the Kekkai Hojin at height as well as ground level. That would make all the difference in the world for him to set up particularly effective traps in the future. With a nod and a sigh the boy made short work of the tedious task picking up all of the bomb tag training aids. Once he had them all collected in his pack he surveyed the area one last time to make sure that he wasn't forgetting anything. It was time for him to head out and get on top of learning something else. He was far from being where he personally wanted to be before heading to the front lines.
The teen shoved his hands in his pockets and made his way out of the wooded area and back into the village proper. His destination was none other than his old stomping grounds.

Diamond chose the forest for training ...the tall trees ...were cool at this time of the day. The sight bits of dew and wetness enough to stir some animals, but keep most of them either tranquil are at bay. For though the reptile life love moisture ...it was still took cold for them to enjoy this place. That alone would keep them away, and that was all that she cared about ....as she tosses the pebble again.
She sighed openly ..why a pebble and not a straw dummy or something that doesn't require such a extensive training. For the dummy she knew would be probably a lot easier to turn into to ...considering they would be the same shape and size, while this pebble ...required a lot more concentration. Hard for a first time jutsu, but it would definitely be an achievement once it's learned.
Thus, Diamond threw the pebble up again. She wanted the learn, and she needed to learn to transform not just as a still object but with speed behind her movements as well. So, she needed to train her eyes to pick up as much detail as possible in the scant second that she would have to turn into the object.
A pebble this time.
