Nay had settled into a training room, which allowed her set scenery for herself. The current setting allowed her to mediate with ease. This was something she hadn't been able to do for a while, but she decided after the weird events over which landed her in her novice uniform.
That incident made it clear that I was getting lazy. I need to be on my toes from now on. My family motto must become my mantra, She thought.
Letting out a deep breath, she brought her mind back to the present. She need to see what was going on outside the training wall. Stepping out into the hall way she peered around carefully, it was one thing to mediate in your novice clothes another thing to be seen in your family's training level clothes.

Pen laid back in the lobby playing solitaire on the coffee table. "A new deck and yet I break in with such a lonely game." She had couple of packs stored with a discontinued design backing. It was rather intricate that printing was very expensive for a some dime store cards. When of course Pen bought the last case of hundred very impressed with the dedication to the small design.

Skotti and Luc had left already and since the last time when Skotti left Pen was bumped to 2nd, she only made the assumption that she would have to look after things while they were out. "Must have been in hurry not to tell me where they were going." She pondered out loud as she place the queen of hearts on a king of spades. "Well that works," she said in regards to the paring.

Nay was place her scarf around her neck as she walked down the stairs into the lobby. She settled it around her neck as she turned towards the kitchen area. It was then that she felt the strange emptiness of the area. Looking around she tried to figure out what was wrong.
What has happened since I isolated myself? She thought worriedly. As she gathered a light breakfast.

After eating, Waffle pondered as to whether or not she should stick around in the main hall.

...egh, why not.

Waffle left the kitchen still having not noticed Nay and walked to the couch. She noticed Pen was playing solitare, but Waffle didn't have an interest in talking.

Pen stared at the cards with a small look of disgust. No more parings...

With a grunt she sank back into the couch looking up at the ceiling. Where could those two run off too anyway... She really didn't want to strike up conversation with those in the room which was normal for her to do. For a rather empty feeling sat at the bottom of her stomach making the gesture feeling useless. Unfortunately it wasn't out of hunger, an ailment which was easily cured by a small trip to the kitchen.

"No more matches" she muttered up to the ceiling.

While in the elevator, Skotti adjusted his tie and lit a cigarette.

Luciano stood quietly with Skotti in the elevator. When they go up to the top floor of the building, the Mayor's office, Luciano stepped out of the elevator. He waited for Skotti to walk up by him, and then they walked up to the Secretary.

The Secretary buzzed them in, and gave Skotti a wink, "There you go, Doll." Luciano simply rolled his eyes.

Once they had opened the door, a well-dressed Elf could be seen standing up facing out the window. He was obviously on his bluetooth, because he was speaking rather loudly about the stock market and all that stuff.

After a few moments, Luciano got frustrated and slammed his fists on the desk and shouted, "RICCI!!!" Mason jumped and screamed then he said, "Marshall! I gotta call you back!!" once he hung up he threw his arms up and said happily, "'Ey, Luci!!! How's it goin'?" he walked over and gave Luciano a big hug, Luciano didn't hug back but he said, "Nice to see you, too. ." Mason looked over to Skotti and held out his hand to shake his, "You must be Mr. Gallows!- Welcome to my office!"

I still got it! Skotti thought, walking into the office.

Once Mason stuck out his hand to be shaken, skotti looked down at his hand and then back up at his face. "May I ask why you called us here, mr. mayor?" skotti asked, stone faced.

Waffle looked up at the ceiling, wondering if anything could possibly get more boring. Luciano and Skotti were not home, Pen didn't feel like conversing, she had no interest in talking with Nay, everyone else was asleep, and....

Her mind blanked out as she cried softly again.

Meanwhile, in the castle infirmary a small group of higher healers and clerics could be seen at work. One of them checked Sabe's pulse for an unknownth time, and nothing changed. Colbur sighed and told the group to keep working. He was in a poor state himself, having not slept in over a day while strenuously working.

Mason smiled, "Not much of a talker, eh? Ok, cool. Sit down boys!" Luciano sat down and watched Mason pour them some Scotch, Ricci said to the both of them, "Well, lemme just say that I'm glad to see both of you here. Especially you, Luci- By the way, how's that hot piece of a** ya' got?" Luciano clenched his jaw, he replied to Mason ". . Her name is Michelle. . and she's fine." Mason laughed and then he playfully punched Luciano's shoulder, "Always a kidder! I love it!- I'm glad you guys got 'ere, though. I got some puss-"
"-Mason, please? Why're we here?"
Mason let out a laugh and motioned for Luciano to calm down, "Sorry, Brother. Sorry!- Anyway. . ." he sighed and sat down in front of Luciano and Skotti. Luciano folded his hands and then Mason cleared his throat, "So like, I'm kinda in a bind, Guys," Luciano nodded as he listened, "Ok, what's your problem, Mason?"

((Last post for tonight! I'm heading to bed!))

"Luci. . Skotti. . . someone is blackmailing me. Luci, someone knows that the votes were fixed. I got a phone call last night from someone claiming to be Mafioso, said that unless I pay them half a Mil they're going to squeal." Luciano sat for a moment. He folded his hands and then he said, "I don't know how we can help you, Mason. We protect the Kuros. Not politicians." Mason shook his head, then he started to play with his facial hair, "I know. But the Kuros are concerned with this matta, too. If this supposed gang knows the votes were fixed, it means the Kuros lose everything."
Luciano looked down at the floor, then he looked to Skotti. Suddenly he felt horrible for bringing Skotti into this matter. He sighed and he said to Mason, looking him in the eyes, ". . . So, you're telling us that the Kuros wanted us to take care of it?" Mason nodded and then he presented them with individual files, and a Map of Durem. "This, here, is your guys' job that I need for you to do. I already paid you guys so no worries, eh?"
Luciano stood up, reached into his back pocket and took out his share of the money and threw it onto Mason's desk. "I'm not interested." and with that Luciano went to leave the room but was stopped by two bigger gentleman. He looked back at Mason, and he said in almost a growl, ". . . We're not here to do your dirty work." Mason motioned for the two guys to let Luciano through, but he said to him, "Luci. . . if I go down. . the Kuros and everything else is goin' with me. . and I would hate to see that happen. I mean that. . . you're like a brother to me, Luciano." Luciano clenched his jaw, he looked at Mason again. As much as he wanted to not get involved, he knew that he was already involved.

The front door of to HQ opened and standing in the door frame was what looked like a stack of boxes with feet. Kydre poked her head around the boxes and sighed. Slowly she managed to wiggle in through the door and set the boxes down on the floor.
"Bring them in Bo," she called out the door.
A tall light elf with long messy black hair and pink bangs came in carrying even more boxes.
With a grunt he said, "Where you want 'em?"
Kydre pointed to the spot next to the other boxes.
"There is fine. Thanks for the help Bo."
Bo set the boxes down and nodded.
"Don't menchin it," he answered.
