Nightsnow XShilonX -Nod- As with my character, He learned how to fight mostly from Lucifer's uprising and by fighting alongside the Archangel Gabriel. Not only that, but most of the time people don't really care how your character got the powers- It only matters that he/she has them. Although, it makes you feel better about RPing with it'.. Since his powers are that much more plausible. And thus the limit of power has vanished, only to be replaced by unsurpassed strength.... True, but that's only in theory. Also, In my own opinion, it doesn't matter how powerful your character is, all that matters is the RP'er's skill and ability to adapt to certain situations, Making unsurpassed strength irrelevant.

Nightsnow Binatica There are other ways to gain powers besides training. Some characters can be built or created with powers, others can be imbued with them by factors entirely beyond their control. In any case, the reason for the acquisition of their powers is in the past and is part of history; there's no need to train seperately. It's not about training to have the powers that I'm differing in opinion -- It's training to keep and utilize the power as much as possible. Some practices like warm ups, to hone the skills.... ... .... ....Tsk. Never mind. Aye, one of my characters does that.... But... Certain characters don't need something like that, really. And, most RP'ers don't really worry about that kinda stuff anyhow. =P

Maelthorn My guy's been alive for thousands of years, and he's not too strong. Strong enough to nearly kill Snow though... That's because your guy has almost no limits. I force my character into limitations -- body stress, human endurance, that the sort -- because he is, however, part human. There is a limit to his ability, unlike others who can merely surpass the limit with years of training, special powers, or unnatural composition of the body....
So far, most of the people that I've met here use age as a means to derive a higher limit for the characters. Maybe it's just me. Maybe not, but I just find it a bit disappointing that there aren't many people who put a limit on themselves....

A series of progression, if you wouldn't mind me say...like experience, learning from things to help oneself better....
*shrug* but that's just me.
