Hello yes, I'm back again to ask about Spirit Week. Everyone's input is very important to me, and I want to be able to put things together so that it's fun for everyone.
So! That being said, I asked around and came up with four theme days. The other three will be determined by whatever the guild majority wants. Here's the list so far:
Dress Like Another Anon Day (Back by popular demand!) Tacky Day (Dress as cluttered/tacky as you want!) Dream Self Day (Dress like how you wish to be someday. For example: Ravena wants to be the best Queen she can be one day, and people will look up to her for guidance.) Mythical Creature Day (If it's not real, dress like it! No, I'm not dressing as a unicorn or dragon.. stare )
If you have any questions in general about Spirit Week, feel free to ask! I'm on all night and some of the day. Quote me with theme ideas, too! I love hearing from you guys. emotion_c8

Lady Ravena Vauville
It might be too similar to Dress Like Another Anon Day, but what about a day inspired by the February Ripoff? Essentially an ORIGINAL CHARACTER DO NOT STEAL, tongue-in-cheek parody of another anon (with their permission, of course). Charming and I are in love with the idea and were planning to make a thread for it anyway.

Into the Woods is a longer than normal musical, if I remember correctly. They have a "Junior" version that ends... Maybe a little halfway through? It's a spot that makes sense for an ending, I just can't remember how far in it is.
I've always felt runtimes really depend on the cast. The local players are almost always on the slow side, but I've seen some groups get through a stage show like their hair was on fire.
But I only saw the stage one they have on Netflix.

I've only seen the Junior version, honestly, but it was about the usual length of a full musical. It was the school play one year and they were always good at going at a moderate pace, not too fast or too slow.

I've never heard of the junior version. I suppose that makes sense if you want to get a bunch of parents to agree to let their kids be in the musical. There are some incredibly adult themes.

Yeah... Though I suspect most parents wouldn't care at my high school honestly, was probably so they could get the school board or something to let them do it.

I am unsure. Adultery and (heavily implied suicide) might make most people question the suitability of a play for a given audience?
I mean, not that I don't think teens can't handle thinking about dark concepts like that. Just that sometimes adult type people forget that teens and children are actual people too. With the capacity to deal with complex emotions. Just sometimes they need a little help talking through them.

That would be my guess too, but I thought you might have further in sight having seen the junior version?

Not really, all I know is that it matched the Junior version up until it went past where the Junior version stops. It's really good though.

Where does the junior version stop?

Where everyone gets their 'happy ending'. Bakers have their baby, Jack is rich, witch is young, etc.
