She nodded "Yeah.. his study mainly had to do with the addicting qualities of the Dark Arts and why it happens for most but not all. Its quite fascinating..."

"For most I've studied it does. Engaging in the darker side is almost always to do with taking something or having some sort of power that couldn't be achieved thought playing by the rules. Of course it's addicting..."

She nodded "I can see how thats true. Merlin also had a theory that just because it was addicting didn't mean it was debilitating as most assumed. Addiction or not... he swore the Dark Arts didn't control or warp thoughts and actions... that was all purely the witch or wizard." She tilted her head "Do you think your addicted?"

"No," he said quietly. "Guilt is a wonderful cure against the addiction for those with any sort of moral code remaining, no matter how weak it may be." Though he had to wonder if this was the truth...after all, should he encounter Helga... He frowned knowing what the answer would be.
