Armads, there's a Story thread, I dunno if you've read that. The year is 106 now I think.
Basically Shimagakure was a hidden village created by 3 elite shinobi and a couple of elite families were smuggled over there :O So there are kids. There are also village kids as well in the village. Life was fine and dandy until the Black Spring which killed like 2/3 of the village population and caused the village to up defences and pretty much hole up upon itself. Before kids used to come to Shimagakure if they wanted to become shinobi but not be tied to any feudal affiliation. Now... I dunno lol. I think they still could come, but they'd have to plead their case alot more convincingly. Btu then again as a weakened military force Shimagakure would be desperate for new blood.
Anyway... I'm really gonna go now. XD

So he was born in year 90. Not sure where that came from. 90 years from what? confused
And my other point still stands. I really have no idea about what to do for a profile. I hate the damm things.
Personally i'd rather just RP my character getting introduced to Shima, anything i do to try and incorporate the story will by shoddy at best.
This isn't me trying to be difficult, this is me being realistic about what would be best for the RP development wise.
It'd be much more worthwhile to have the character be taught about the village and/or explore with someone else to develop that bond early. If i'm already there i'm not going to have that.
To me, from an RP standpoint, it only makes sense to do it this way.
Judging by the history of this place, if there are only 3 squads... That's not too many people. there have to be more people than that in order to grow food, make clothing, ect. Unless the shinobi are also doing that in addition to trying to discover shinobi arts.

Armads: You don't have to wash up on shore, you don't have to have any relatives on the island or anything like that. You would be sent there to help with the security of the island? Or maybe ur a run away? Or maybe just a total and complete badass that just does his own thing? Creativity my friend. And the year is like 106 i believe, lol, i even gotta double check. He can be 12 and be the guy you explained in ur profile, just tweek words like man and stuff. He's 12 not a man.... lol but he can still act like one
I'm a profile junkie.... I like details as do most of the crew, i just happen to be in charge of Profile approvals. I'm nit-picky, but i'm always available to help fill in missing peices!!!
EDIT: I didn't know you mad him to be 16... lol, the profile said 12 so that's what i had assumed

See the thing i'm trying to get is on one hand you say that i should be creative.
Then in the same breath you ask me to conform to what you believe is the "right" kind of creativity.
See i look at my profile as a kind of junk mail file. I'll save the abilities and such on my computer and update as nessisary, but i'll almost never do anything that has to do with the rest of it again.
See in most cultures 12 is a man. If you hit puberty, you're a man. I'm not really sure what you think a man is, but generally when you're able to concieve, you're an adult. stare

I don't mean to drive no one insane... I'm just tryin to guide you along with how things roll here....
Ur profile said age 12, so I assumed you were saying you were age 12, okay? You can be 16, so your birthday would be Winter 1, 89.
I'm NOT putting a limit on your creativity. I'm a writer and RP'er like everyone else here, and the one thing i hate the most is stifling someone's creativity. If you wanna have him wash up on shore, that's fine, all I'm asking is for you to put something about in your profile. All you would have to do is add it to the end of what you had for your profile. We have profiles here to keep track of character growth, doesn't mean you have to go crazy with it, so it's not as big as a deal as you are making it out to be. As for stats, that's taken care of by the crew to prevent cheating and to make it easier to keep track of everything and easier on the players so they can just concentrate on the RP.

Where did i put that he was 12? I don't remember ever saying a specific age for him... I don't want to give you a hard time. I really don't. I did put the fact that he washed up... I let the rest of the chips fall where they lay. And if the crew manages the profiles... Then i really have less of a reason to worry about my profile...

If he's washed up on shore with no memory of what happened, that's all you gotta add to your profile.
Some characters have a purpose of coming to the island, some arrive on boats, some one shipwrecks, some washed up. It depends on the person's personality and character.
If you want ur character to be a washup with no memory of what happened and no clue where you are, that's just fine, cause it would work with the storyline of all the destruction thats been going on in the world at this time in the RP. Once your profile is approved, you make your entrance post in shima on the docks for beginners, and thats where you are introduced by doing a task or something.
It's all rather simple.... really....

No it's not that he washed up with no memory...
I wonder if i was clear with what i wrote. Because it feels like you skimmed and didn't actually digest what i wrote.
Sequence of events as stated in my backstory:
1. Kicked out of previous home
2. Gets on a boat who's destination is a mystery to him.
3. Gets drunk, and in a frenzy damages the boat while at sea.
4. Since he can't pay, they throw his poor a** overboard.
5. Wakes up in a holding cell in Shima. The authorities are wonder how someone with no papers and who's unwilling to talk about himself has come to live on their land.
6. With no way to make money, he applies at the academy.(hasn't started yet. )
I can't spell it out much easier than that...
It's all in the backstory. Honestly i would rather just get to RPing so i can understand just what it is that you're all doing.

It's not that i skimmed, it's just that i was confused as to what exactly you were sayin, lol.
So i went through your profile again and made a few changes, and suggested some ideas to clarify is all. Simple easy stuff.
Now that i read this post you just set out word for word, my one statement about the boats destination can be ignored
