Iri opens her little jar and spreads some of the contents on her limbs. It should work at soothing her bruises. With luck, the marks won't stick around as long, either. Once she's done with that, Iri closes the jar and sticks it in her pocket. She grabs a bottle of water from the fridge and heads outside. Iri needs to find some of the tessen she lost the other day.

(( Am I alone in here? ))
A flash of sunlight on metal catches Iri's eye. She walks across the grass to the source and crouches to pick up one of her tessen. It's a little muddy, but that can be cleaned. The other two aren't far away. She grabs them and fully extends all three. Then she beats them against the ground to dislodge some of the earth.
Iri stands up and looks around. She had heard music. Maybe a flute?

It is, in fact, a flute- Reeve is still playing. He leans against the base of a tree, Iri's tessen folded and resting on his knee.

Iri looks in the direction of the flute playing. Her eyes rest on Reeve, and then focus on her tessen. Now where did he find that?
Iri walks over to Reeve and crouches down in front of him, her wings spreading slightly for balance. She doesn't say anything at first. The sound of his music is something she enjoys too much to interrupt.

Reeve's eyes are closed but he smiles as he opens them. He starts playing a little faster, but softer and seeming to come from nowhere, green butterflies start to circle round her.

Iri keeps still as the butterflies surround her. Violet eyes widen in curiousity. This is a kind of trick she hasn't seen before. After a moment, Iri reaches out with one hand, wondering if the butterflies are an illusion or summoned from some other place.

The butterfly lands on Iri's hand and stays there a moment. It is cold -not ice cold, but pleasantly cold in the afternoon heat. Then, like ice, it seems to melt through her hand.

That's certainly interesting...
Iri looks up at Reeve and smiles. "How do you do that? Are the butterflies attracted by the music or something?"

Reeve shakes his head and stops playing. "The butterflies -are- the music. Just foxfire making a visual representation of an audiable medium."

"Foxfire? But that butterfly was cold."
Iri rocks back on her heels and sits down. She crosses her legs, careful not to bother the bruises on her limbs too much. Already her salve has started to sooth them and make the marks fade. She looks at the tessen on Reeve's knee. "Where'd you find that one?"

"Foxfire doesn't have to be hot. It's more energy than fire, and in either instance, it's not of this world." Reeve unfolds the tessen and fans himself with it, fluttering his eyelashes with mock demure. "Oh, this old thing? Just lying around..."

Iri listens attentively to Reeve's explanation. The idea of an otherwordly energy intrigues her. It's something she's heard of before, but never witnessed anyone but Reeve use. She could come up with a dozen other questions, but she never voices them. They're forgotten when Reeve starts to fan himself and bat his lashes. Iri grins and starts to laugh with amusement. She teasingly remarks, "You immitate a lady rather too well, Reeve, don't you think?"

"Ah yes, darling. A ninja must blend in -anywhere-," Reeve says with a flamboyant flick of his wrist. He closes the fan with a chuckle and hands it back to her.

Iri takes the fan and sets it with the other three. That's one more weapon that she doesn't have to pay to replace. She looks back at Reeve. "Well I'm bored. What do you feel like doing?"
