I am getting really . . . really . . . really tired of being s**t on by life.
After putting over $1200 in my car over the last month, tonight my starter (I think) died. So my car is a brick. Oh, and I have to get up at 5:30 in the morning to drive my wife and kid to an event already bought and paid for.
Yes, thanks to a very kind coworker, I have a vehicle to get there and back, but holy ********. Just what I don't need, want, and can't afford. More ******** car repairs.

New starter, and new battery fried by the old starter . . . now the car is mobile again. Up to over $1500 in a month in my car.
No. Not happy.

Hopefully this is the end of your car troubles for a long while.

Nope. Got the starter replaced, battery replaced . . . the car problems continue. Now it is the alternator. FML.

At this point, is it cheaper to find an old used car replacement?

I am still several thousand in the hole on this vehicle, so I can't afford to go and get another. The good news is that I have a vehicle back and it works. The last thing I was charged for by the garage was a system analysis . . . making sure the car was in working order. I drove it for 90 minutes each way on a trip tonight as both an escape and a test run of the car. I am back up and moving again.
nearly 2 grand later.

Gald to hear it! It is part of your livelihood, so it had to be repaired for your job's sake. Though, I do understand your irritation.

Indeed. Odd how wonderful "back to normal" can seem. Is that sad?

Valleys can serve to make one appreciative of the mundane -- effectively, a reminder to count your blessings.

Fair enough . . .
Enjoying one of the few Nicolas Cage movies that I liked. Lord of War.

I actually like a decent number of his movies, though his acting can be quite hammy in the poor ones. National Treasure is probably my favorite of his.

Ghost Rider was an unfortunate one, though. sweatdrop

There are certainly a slew of bad ones, I will readily agree. xp I actually own quite a few os his movies, as I was fortunate enough to come across some of his better ones earlier on. Only later did I realize all the other less-good stuff he had done.

The "less good" stuff? Very diplomatic. *chuckles softly* Then again, I keep lurking around on Youtube, so I am hardly a good judge of quality entertainment. sweatdrop
