You said it almost earned it points back. I guess it would make it points back, and most likely more, with Pask taking control of it.
If I were you, I'd cut some units to take a couple of more Griffons.

I only play with what I can field. Sadly, I don't have any more Griffons. GW stopped selling them and only FW has them right now. And FW is not my primary choice for tank kits any more.
I'm still considering Pask as of right now.

I'd say put Pask in the Russ Squadron, since you can safeguard his Russ by allocating penetrating hits to other ones, the +1 to vehicle penetration rolls means that if your first shot scatters onto a Trukk or something, it's going down.

I think Pask in the Punisher would bring its kill-tally up by a large amount, although putting him in a vanilla Russ is a attractive idea, the main gun is powerful enough to deal with a Trukk with a good shot.

Russ tanks scatter too much to be effective vehicle killers. If I want Pask to that I'd be better off putting him in a Vanquisher.

How about investing in another Hellhound? Take out something around that points to put it in. How well did it do last game?

The Hellhound did okay, not as super as it did in the previous edition, but it did okay. I'm not that keen on getting more stuff any time soon. Christmas has leached me of most of my money and most of my savings have gone into a new laptop, so it might be some time before I can get even more tanks. sweatdrop
I might jumble things up big time and go the b*****d route next time, by taking a command squad, two veteran squads, load them in Chimeras and go tank heavy the rest of the way. A squadron of three Russ tanks, a squadron of three Demolishers (technically two Demolishers and an Eradicator), maybe pairing my Punisher with my Exterminator and filling out the fast attack slots with a Hellhound, two recon Sentinels with autocannons and an Armoured Sentinel with a plasma cannon.
edit.
The proposed list, too expensive but can be shaved and worked with.
HQ. Command squad: power weapon, medic, company standard, vox, melta, carapace armour - 140 Chimera: heavy stubber - 65
Troops. Veterans squad: power weapon, flamers (3), vox, carapace armour - 130 Chimera: heavy stubber - 65
Veterans squad: power weapon, meltagun (2), vox, carapace armour - 135 Chimera: heavy stubber - 65
Fast Attack. Hellhound - 130
Armoured Sentinel: plasma cannon - 75
Scout Sentinels (2): autocannon - 80
Heavy Support. Russ squadron (3): Leman Russ with heavy bolter sponsons - 510
Russ squadron (3): Demolisher with lascannon, plasma cannons (2), Eradicator with lascannon - 615
Russ squadron (2): Punisher with heavy bolters, Exterminator with heavy bolters and heavy stubber - 380
Grand total: 2390

You could always just bump it up to 2500 points, giving you a wee bit more toys to play with. mrgreen
You could throw in a penal squad and three snipers. Or drop the Sentinels in favour of a ninth tank. More points can also be made by dropping the command squad in favour of say, a lord commissar and a primaris psyker, attach them to both squads and thus saving up on points spent on another chimera and a command squad.
Lord Commissar: power weapon, carapace armour - 90 Psyker - 70
This gives you 155 points to play with. Maybe drop the heavy stubbers on your Chimeras and tanks, thus netting you another 30 points, giving you quite a lot for another tank. Maybe an Executioner? wink
On the other hand, you're very low on troops, making objectives pretty hard to tackle. Unless you plan on gunning everything down in your path. surprised

Hmm, such delightful optimism in sharing my dream of fielding more tanks than the enemy.
2500 is tempting indeed. Maybe I'll just discard that Psyker (He's a Navigator now anyway) and shove in more.. Sentinels I guess. More recon models for the final victory. Hmm, I've shoved in one more recon model along with a vanilla Executioner.
Lord Commissar: power weapon, carapace armour - 90
Veterans squad: power weapon, flamers (3), vox, carapace armour - 130 Chimera: heavy stubber - 65
Veterans squad: power weapon, meltagun (2), vox, carapace armour - 135 Chimera: heavy stubber - 65
Hellhound - 130
Armoured Sentinel: plasma cannon - 75
Scout Sentinels (3): autocannon - 80
Russ squadron (3): Leman Russ with heavy bolter sponsons - 510
Russ squadron (3): Demolisher with lascannon, plasma cannons (2), Eradicator with lascannon - 615
Russ squadron (3): Punisher with heavy bolters, Exterminator with heavy bolters and heavy stubber, Executioner with heavy bolter - 570
Grand total: 2505
Infantry: 21 Walkers: 4 Tanks: 12
I could dump all carapace armour, saving up another 70 points, shave off another 30 points with the removal of all heavy stubbers, another 10 points for the vox casters, those are useless now that I think about it, leaving me with 110 points to toy around with. Maybe I could fiddle some more and get a second Hellhound, or get some Ratlings along with another Armoured Sentinel with a plasma cannon.
Choices!

You could always get a Techpriest and 3 Tech-Servitors for 90 points, and just run him around repairing any Weapon Destroyed (And Immobilized on any non squadroned vehicle) results on a 2+ It also gives you 4 Power Fist attacks at strength 8 alongside their base attacks, which can be amusing if your opponent doesn't know this when they counter-charge.

s**t, I forgot all about that one. Good call! pirate
Having an Enginseer with servitor retinue around would help a long way into keeping things mobile.

An Enginseer or two would be a great choice for such a large mechanized army. Or you could just throw them in and expand to 3000 points! mrgreen
For the big 3k you could easily throw in more Sentinels, those extra Hellhounds and more men. Or you could finally ignore the force organization chart and field even more tanks! surprised

Here's my whole army as of yet, almost everything painted, except for Baker platoon and the second Sentinel, which are mostly still in the battle force box. Once I've got those all assembled and painted up I'm turning to expanding it further with another Valkyrie, Sentinel, more infantry and maybe another advisor that I've got on my shelf.
My army is called the Imperial 1st Highland Fusiliers.
Command squad with power weapon, medic, vox caster, company standard, meltagun and a master of ordnance
Five Ratlings
Infantry platoon Alistair. Command squad with power weapon, medic, vox caster, standard and meltagun Two infantry squads, each with a grenade launcher and a vox caster Heavy weapons squad with missile launchers
Infantry platoon Baird. Command squad with power weapon, medic, vox caster, standard and meltagun Two infantry squads, each with a grenade launcher and a vox caster Heavy weapons squad with heavy bolters
Two Valkyries with rocket pods
Two scout sentinels with multi-lasers
Hellhound
Leman Russ Punisher with heavy bolters
Total: 1265 points
